We are both working at home and have a lot of free time in the day for the dogs. We take breaks from work for walks, keep schedules and logs for meal times, and are careful to keep particular food and treats for each individual dog. We have a 12.5 year old foster soon who is the absolute best and has been with us since Aug 2024. He is the most amazing child and is very good and respectful of the dogs. We also have a 19 year old Goddaughter who lives with us. She is shy and sweet and the dogs love to sit close to her. Both children have calm vibes that the dogs gravitate towards.

Please let us know if your dog has any special needs or behavior issues ahead of time. Do they tend to mark their territory or bark at strangers walking past the street? We live on a street where people walk past all day long.
A typical day
We love to play fetch with the dogs in our huge yard and then give belly rubs while they come in to snooze on our couches. We talk to them all day long and keep them happy and engaged.

Big fenced in yard and lots of love
Pet care experience
*Updated* We can only take pups that don’t bark excessively or really loudly (regular barking is fine! It’s just non-stop or super loud barking that is the problem), due to neighbor’s request in the past that we have to honor. We also cannot take any dogs that have Pica. We would love to have your dog come on vacation with us! We have two rescue dogs, Percy and Moonbeam. Percy is a Boston Terrier/Long-haired wired Dachshund mix who is a rescue pup from Chicago. (He is also a therapy dog and we do lots of visits to a nursing homes, hospitals, schools and 1:1’s; he was made for the job! He provides lots of care and comfort- especially with his elder friends at the nursing home.) Moonbeam is a Dachshund/Chihuahua/Terrier, and is adorable and full of personality. Percy and Moonbeam love dogs and people and they are both extremely sweet and gentle. They love to run in our yard, lounge on the couch, play with other dogs, or go for walks in the neighborhoods around our home. At night, your pup would be lounging on the couch with us (if that's where they are comfortable), playing around the house (no areas are off limits to the dogs), and they are welcome to sleep in our bed if you choose. Between the two of us, your dog will be with one of us at all times. We love to send lots of photo and video throughout the weekends- we love taking them! We would be attentive to any special needs your dog may have, be it dietary or otherwise. Our dogs will have full reign inside the house and in the large fenced-in backyard, and will be on leash when we go for walks. We look forward to having your dog come stay with us! **Due to the very quiet neighborhood we live in, we unfortunately cannot have dogs that bark loudly or bark a lot- especially early in the morning or late at night. It upsets our neighbors so we have to respect that. We do have several clients, though, that have us come stay in their homes if their dog(s) tend to bark. The barking doesn’t bother us at all! Please ask us about that if that is a better fit for you, and we have plenty of references for that service. Thanks!
Reviews

Liz and Neil were wonderful with our dog who is always very anxious with new people. It’s always hard to find someone you can trust who cares for your pets the way you do, and I’m so glad we found them. We really appreciated the many photo, video and text updates throughout the day - they were always responsive and kept us well informed of how Cleo was doing. They even accommodated a later pick up than anticipated, the flexibility was truly appreciated. We would recommend them without a doubt!
It was wonderful to know that Holly was happy and well cared for when we were on vacation. She had plenty of snuggles, played well with Elizabeth and Neal’s dogs. I received many pics and videos
Amazing stay as always ❤️

They treat the dogs like family. Can’t imagine sending my pup anywhere else.
