“Olympia always has so much fun at Natasha and Jon’s house! They are totally on top of her allergy meds and send tons of photos which is great. She comes home a very happy girl.”

“Lori was great! This was my first time leaving my pup and she made it a great experience! Lori was great with the dogs, has a fenced in yard and sent me videos of my pup playing and having a blast! I’ll be sure to use Lori again!”

“Zelun was so good with our dog. We will definitely be using zelun in the future. He sent lots of photos and had great communication. He also brought Iggy on many adventures each day like the park and nice walks!”
“Paul and Megan were fantastic. They took such good care of our crazy little corgi, sending us pictures and videos each day while we were away and regular updates about his mood and activities and overall how he was doing. It made it so much easier for our family to be away from our pup for the first time since we got him. Can’t say enough great things about the experience with Paul and Megan.”

“Jackie is simply the best! She was able to help us with urgent dog care due to a family situation and was extremely responsive throughout the day so we knew our pup was doing just fine. Her dog is extremely friendly with other dogs and humans too!”

“Very friendly, provided plenty of photos for us to see our dog during her stay. She was very responsive and attentive to the dog. When she got home she seemed happy! Recommended.”

“Carmen was amazing with Mochi! Being the only dog in the house meant she received plenty of personalized attention, and Carmen kept us updated with pictures throughout the stay.”

“Janette and her family were so welcoming and loving with my dog, Ridley. We got lots of updates and photos of her enjoying her stay, and felt completely at ease leaving her in their care.”
“Jessica was a wonderful sitter for our dog Harper! She sent us multiple photos and updates daily to let us know how Harper was doing and what they had been up to. She was comfortable giving her nightly medication for her allergies as well. Harper was happy at pick up and well cared for. We look forward to Harper’s next stay with Jessica!”

“Victoria was very communicative and made both me and my dog Lucy feel comfortable. Lucys a chihuahua mix and can be very nervous with new people but Victoria knew to let Lucy approach her and by that night Lucy was comfortable enough to cuddle with her! She sent plenty of pictures, I would definitely leave Lucy with her again!”

“Renee and her son were amazing with my dog. They were super sweet and always sent lots of messages and photos. Renee was gentle in telling me about my baby’s day-to-day activities, how he was feeling, and how he was sleeping. I think she took better care of him than any other Rover I’ve had over the years! Next time I’m traveling, my baby will definitely be with her.”

“Debra was fantastic! Our Shih Tzu took to her as soon as we met her, and we knew right away that she would care for him as her own. Debra took him on many adventures, sending pictures along the way. She truly went above and beyond. We are so relieved to find someone we can fully trust, especially given our pup's specific medical needs, and will be sure to use Debra whenever we need care.”

“Kimberlyn is wonderful and was so flexible to accommodate us with a change in pickup time! Our golden retriever Maggie has stayed with her many times and always comes home so happy. We would 100% book again!”

“Patrick took great care of my dog over Thanksgiving. He was communicative during the planning process and while he was sitting my dog, he sent daily videos and updates. Highly recommend Patrick!”

“This was our first experience using Rover and we couldn’t be more pleased. Charlotte, Jordan and Kyber were so welcoming from our very first meet and greet that we felt Bentley would be in great hands. During our trip we received great photos of Bentley enjoying his time with Kyber, as they quickly became best buds. We look forward to having Bentley visit again with Charlotte, Jordan and Kyber.”

“Always a pleasure seeing the pictures of my pooch happy while we are away. The only downside is she is sad to leave Elliot for a day or two after! Always seek Elliot first!!!”

“Thank you so much Jackie for taking such great care of my dog! She took him on many walks, gave him lots of love and attention, and gave us many updates/pictures throughout the week. Our dog felt right at home with her and we knew after the meet and greet that he would be in great hands.”

“Guillermo did a fantastic job with my dog, Kiara. She gets nervous around new people, so it’s always tough for me to leave her. I booked an overnight stay with Guillermo to see if they’d be a good fit, and it went perfectly. As soon as I arrived, I felt comfortable. Guillermo showed me around the house so I could see where Kiara would stay, which put me at ease. Kiara quickly warmed up to him and didn’t seem upset when I left. During the day, Guillermo sent thoughtful updates and photos, which really helped me relax. When I came back to pick up Kiara, she was happy to see me. She gave me a few kisses and then settled on the couch like she was at home. I really appreciated Guillermo’s care, communication, and the calm, friendly atmosphere he created. I have already booked with him again.”

“Vanessa and her partner took great care of my little Mochi for a week and half. They went above and beyond what i would expect from any dog sitter. They made sure to exercise Mochi multiple times a day. They also taught my little one new tricks! Truly amazing. I had also left Mochi with a set of new treats I was hoping she would enjoy. Unbeknownst to all of us, Mochi ended up getting some diarrhea from those treats. Luckily, Vanessa was able to weed out the culprit very quickly, allowing Mochi to regain her appetite after discarding the treats. Vanessa made sure to send me plenty pictures and videos of my little one. Mochi felt right at home with them. I can't stress enough what a blessing it has been to have Vanessa take care of my little one in my absence. :D”

Gulnoza was super kind to our cat Bono. He is very anxious around strangers and the way she has a special room for him helped make the stay comfortable. She also eased my mind with pictures each time I book her boarding services. I’m very appreciative of having a home for our cat when we needed to travel.

Halle had an excellent time with Luke again! She went on hikes & went for swims, and got lots of pets & belly rubs. I cannot speak highly enough for the superb care & attention that Luke provided her. We had a great / stress-free weekend knowing that Halle was having a great weekend too. Halle's already looking forward to her next stay with Luke!

Our dogs had a great stay with Wendy! They were so well cared for and looked so happy in all the pictures she sent. She made them feel right at home. Our dog Cody needs eye drops and they did an amazing job giving them to him. Highly recommend her for all dog care needs!!

Marcia is spectacular. She offers everything you hope for when leaving your pup. It’s our first time with her and the 3rd place I’ve tried with my wheaten because of his anxiety. He did really well and found himself a second home where his fun, playful side shone. I highly recommend Marcia. Thank you Marcia. 🙏

Debbie was incredible, and I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone. She provided regular updates on our dog with photos; this put us at ease while we were traveling, so we could truly enjoy our time away. She treated our dog like her own, and we really can’t thank her enough. Will 100% be a repeat customer.

Mandy is cheerful and easy-going. She provided photos of my pet regularly and confirmed that meals were consumed (since our pet refuses to eat at times) and exercise was given. The fenced yard and deck are ample for fresh air breaks and Ruby seemed very much at home during her stay.

Heather took great care of my goldendoodle (Riva) for a weekend. Heather was very communicative and shared pictures and updates throughout the stay, and it was comforting to see Riva looking so relaxed and at home. She seemed to fit right into Heather's family! I would definitely recommend Heather to others.

Booking with Noila was a great experience. She took amazing care of our two cats, kept us updated with cute photos every day, and was highly communicative. It’s such a relief to know your pets are in good, capable hands. We will definitely be reaching out to her again for future needs!
Everything went absolutely wonderfully with Olivia and Adam. We left our dog Chelsie with them for a long stay of about 2.5 weeks, and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Chelsie can be a bit anxious when staying with someone new, and to be honest, we were anxious too. We know all the little quirks and routines of our dog, but of course it’s impossible to explain every tiny detail ahead of time. Still, they handled everything incredibly well and made her feel comfortable very quickly. They constantly sent photos and updates, which I was extremely grateful for because it allowed us to actually relax and enjoy our trip without worrying. It was very clear from the updates that Chelsie was happy, comfortable, and having her own little vacation. At one point we joked that she might not even want to come back home after staying with them. Highly recommend them, especially if you’re nervous about leaving your dog for a longer stay.

Courtney is amazing! She watched our boy Brody for 3 nights and we couldn’t be happier with her care. She has a kind nature and I felt instantly comfortable with her. She took him for multiple walks each day and sent us many pics and updates. He was even sad when we left her, which was a true sign he was in good hands. We will hire Courtney again without hesitation!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
