About: I have helped take care of friends and families dogs/pets for about 5 years now. I have overnight sat for friends and took care of their dogs that required special feeding and medication instructions. I also helped train my own dog with stuff like sit and paw. I am currently working part-time in the hospital as an aide. I will not be working for most of the summer, so I will have plenty of time to check in on dogs or even stay over night at houses to pet sit. I have a fenced in yard and a long, strong lead if needed for dogs that can be escape artists. I also am strong enough to hold bigger dogs that can pull.
About: Hi! I’m an animal husbandry trainer for seals and sea lions. However, I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, and goats! I can’t wait to meet your furry friend. I can also take care of fish and do water quality and system maintenance. I am available all day and night Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday! I also have availability after 6:00pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I work from Thursday-Saturday at an aquarium (7am-4:30). I will make sure that your pet is treated with proper care and attention. If you have a shy animal, I will be happy to be patient, soft voiced, and gentle. If you have a energetic animal I will gladly match their energy!
“Frances was great and flexible! She took great care of my cat and was very responsive to all of my requests of getting more photos, leaving notes, pick up/drop off keys etc. I would recommend her to take care of any of your furry friends!”

“We recently moved to a new apt and needed a new sitter for our 10 year old kitty. Carol did a great job with her in all ways. Carol kept her routine and spoiled her the way we do. Our cat was relaxed and well taken care of by Carol. Highly recommend her pet services.”
“Molly was amazing with ellie.we had my sons wedding and are new to the cape.she came thru for us and went above and beyond with ellie we felt so comfortable leaving ellie with molly she will definitely be our new doggy caretaker.”

“Nina was a fabulous drop in for my cat. She took great care of him, adapting to his needs, and managing the litter box, trash, and recycling. She even carefully cleaned up after him when he had a digestive glitch as cats sometimes do, without complaint and with genuine concern for his well being. Drop in photos were a delight and made me feel he was happy and comfortable. I trust her and will definitely book her again.”

“Ana has done a great job watching our Dallas every time! We were able to completely put our trust in her when we went out of town for a 4 day long trip. It is nice to know he is in good hands when she sends photos of them playing and is always punctual! I would highly recommend her!”

About: My name is Suzie and I am 30 years old. I have owned a dog all my life and currently have one dog named Moose. I have interacted with many different types of dogs and personalities. I am confident I can make you dog happy. I currently work at a Hospital 3 days a week, so I am home majority of the week. I have just moved to the North Andover area and would love to explore the area with your dog. I also live with my boyfriend who is usually around when I am at work. He owns a female Husky who is at my condo occasionally. I do not have rules about pets being on furniture or in the bed. I have dog beds and large crate for them, whatever the prefer. Please reach out to me if you have any questions. I am home 4 days a week from work. I am able to be home with your dog to feed it and take it out in a timely manner. I work 15 minutes up the road, so if necessary I can leave work to let the dogs out. I live in a dog friendly condo complex that I can take your dog on a walk and live near trails to walk also. I have an open door crate dogs can go into if they are feeling overwhelmed or need a safe place to sleep.
“Molly was a big help when we needed last-minute help with our 2 dogs and she took excellent care of them! She was very responsive to messages and patient with our still-a-menace puppy! Would not hesitate to book again.”

About: I’ve taken care of others dogs for a few years now, but I have had dogs of my own since I was 4 years old. I am currently living on SDSU campus and do not have a car, so you would need to be within walking distance. I am available all day any day! I will always make sure dogs are secure on leashes and safe with me. I will make sure it’s not too hot for them and they get the care they need
“Thank you, Jolene, for checking in on my two cats over a holiday weekend with a last minute booking! Jolene’s communication and timing was excellent. While checking on the cats, she filled their bowls, gave them treats, and brushed them. I appreciated her time and attention!”

“Adriana was attentive, communicative, and helpful throughout her visits with our pup. She even left him a sweet Christmas gift. We felt great knowing we had someone trustworthy keeping him safe while we were away. We would definitely use her again in the future.”

About: I've had pets growing up, and I was the main one caring for them. I've had dogs, a cat, guinea pigs, bunnies, fish, and a hamster. I love all animals, but mainly a dog lover! I have watched friends and family's pets. I did the basic care needs: walking, feeding, giving water, playing, and showing lots of love and attention. With my current dog, I have had to give her pills, so I also know different ways to give pills to dogs. I also know how to teach basic commands such as sit, stay, paw, and high-five. When I used to live in Texas, I volunteered to take a shelter senior dog for the day. I did basic care needs and even took him walking/running in a field before taking him back. I currently work a full-time job, anywhere from 7am-6pm on weekdays but I am free on weekends. I also don't mind going after work if you need someone to take your fur babies on a walk, do a check-in, or need to be fed/given water! I live with my boyfriend's family so unfortunately, I can't care for pets in my home. I don't mind just going to your house/apartment to care for your fur babies. I can take them for walks, play with them, keep them company, feed them, give them water, or even take them out the house for a little (a drive or even a walk around a store that allows pets).
“Jennifer took great care of our dog while we were away! We had her do drop in visits at our home, since our dog is older and does better staying home. Jennifer did each visit on time, and took extra care to make sure that she ate, got out for her business, and also got some love! She communicated perfectly by writing a little summary about the visit, and uploaded photos. We felt completely confident that our dog was taken care of while we were away, and will absolutely use Jennifer again!”

About: I adopted my first dog in second grade. He was my responsibility and as I got older, I learned that I loved going for walks outside as much as my dog. Now that I'm older, I love taking friends' dogs for hikes in new locations. I have even managed to train one of my friend's reactive dog so she pulls on the leash less. I also briefly fostered animals when I was in graduate school. I am a teacher on summer break, so I have plenty of hours to devote to your pet and look forward to enjoying plenty of summer outside time with your dog. I have walked a wide range of dogs, including a couple of reactive pit bull mixes. I have experienced triggering situations with dogs and know how to either handle them or avoid them.

About: I’m a dog owner and comfortable with dropping in to feed, walk, and keep your pet company. I love both dogs and cats, and have cared for a neighbor’s cat as well as being hired to watch a family’s cat during their vacation. I also have some experience with giving medication to pets. I leave for college in early August, but until then I don’t have much taking up my schedule. I’m unemployed besides petsitting and will have a few trips over the summer. I have experience walking, feeding, cleaning, and administering medicine to both dogs and cats. I have little grooming experience, and would prefer sitting for small to medium dogs with a friendly/easygoing temperament.
“My cat is shy and not a big fan of other people. But Yesika is the only sitter he gets along well with. Whenever Yesika is taking care of my cat, I know that he is in hood hands, which gives me a huge relief.”

10 stars if possible. Jamie jumped in to help when I had a last minute emergency. She was great with my animals and communicating. I stopped worrying after Jamie’s first visit and report as it was clear that the animals were in capable and loving hands. Will ask (beg) her to look after my pets in a heartbeat

We can’t say enough good things about Yuzhou! She has been absolutely amazing with our dogs—so caring, patient, and attentive. Our pups are always sooo excited to see her and come home happy and well-exercised after every walk. We also love the detailed updates she sends after each visit—it gives us such peace of mind knowing the boys are so well cared for. Yuzhou truly treats our pups like family, and we feel so lucky to have her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Wakefield with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
