About: Ive taken care of dogs most of my life and owned one for 6 years. I’ve walked dogs big and small and my own has given me great experience with reactive dogs. I once worked as a kennel attendant for a local animal hospital which gave me experience with lots of different breeds and special feeding needs. I work full time so I am available evenings during the week, and anytime on the weekends when I’m not with my own furry friend I wont be offering any in home pet care services at this time. I live in a small apartment unit with a medium size dog

About: I have helped take care of friends and families dogs/pets for about 5 years now. I have overnight sat for friends and took care of their dogs that required special feeding and medication instructions. I also helped train my own dog with stuff like sit and paw. I am currently working part-time in the hospital as an aide. I will not be working for most of the summer, so I will have plenty of time to check in on dogs or even stay over night at houses to pet sit. I have a fenced in yard and a long, strong lead if needed for dogs that can be escape artists. I also am strong enough to hold bigger dogs that can pull.
About: My green flag is, pets love to be around me. I've been taking care of my friend's pets for two years and they love me. I am currently open to work with your schedule. I am free 5 days of the week. Preferably after noon, but I am very flexible I work through pet owner's needs. I try to understand pet's personality. I allow pets to be themselves around me. Safety and care comes first.
“Kat was great with Bella! Bella enjoyed the time that Kat spent with her. I enjoyed getting the pictures of Bella every time Kat came over while I was gone and seeing how happy Bella was! Thank you Kat for taking care of Bella and my mums!!!”

About: Hi! I recently graduated from UConn with a degree in Animal Science, and I’m currently on the pre-vet track with plans to attend veterinary school. I have a strong background in animal care, including working as a veterinary technician for two summers and spending time working on a barn last year. I’ve also grown up with my own dog and have extensive experience pet sitting and dog walking for neighbors, and friends. I am able to offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. I understand the importance of making sure that pets stay active, happy, and comfortable while their owners are away. Right now, I have a very flexible schedule and am available most days and times, except Sundays. As the summer goes on, I plan to work part-time, but I’ll still have plenty of availability to dedicate quality time and attention to your pets. I truly love working with animals and am very passionate about ensuring that they are safe and comfortable. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine since I work part-time and have flexible afternoons during the week. I’m able to consistently make time for walks, drop-in visits, and giving pets the attention and care they need I’m very attentive to each pet’s individual needs, whether in my home or a client’s home. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, always have fresh water, and get plenty of time outside, exercise, and play. I also prioritize giving them attention and companionship so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I understand that every pet is different, especially senior pets who may require extra care or specific routines. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions, including medications, feeding schedules, or any special needs, to make sure your pet stays healthy, and safe.

About: I’ve pet sat for a lot of my neighbors in high school. I have fed and walked dogs, fed and hung out with cats and even fed chickens! I have 3 cats and love dogs and going on long sunny walks :). Willing to learn about any animals! I work at a therapeutic middle school so my afternoons after 3 and weekends are free, and I’m free after 2 in the summer. I can travel to your house and stay with your pet and keep them company. If you need me to stay there/house sit, we can talk about that as well.
“Dalia is an exceptionally responsible and detail-oriented person. She is very kind and caring with dogs, and often goes above and beyond expectations by taking on extra work. She is highly reliable, and I strongly recommend her. I will definitely continue working with Dalia in the future.”

“Amber has only spent two days with my pup and I can already tell they are going to be friends! He’s happy and lively when I come home so I know he is getting a lot out of her visits!”

“Noila took amazing care of my two kitties for two full weeks! She sent daily pictures and videos of them playing, and included any other information about her check ins with them. She made leaving town so much less stressful! Fantastic experience.”

“Emma was great to work with and cared for our cat as if she was her own while we were away for a few days. She was super flexible when we asked to change one of the drop-in times, so it was nice to know that my cat was able to stick to a good meal schedule. Will gladly have Emma cat-sit for us again!”

“Jamie is great with our puppy. She loves playing tug of war and chasing after balls. Jamie happily obliges her and lets us know how she did during each visit. Plus he is super responsive to scheduling requests! Would definitely recommend him!”
“We recently moved to a new apt and needed a new sitter for our 10 year old kitty. Carol did a great job with her in all ways. Carol kept her routine and spoiled her the way we do. Our cat was relaxed and well taken care of by Carol. Highly recommend her pet services.”
“Kerri is extremely flexible and wonderful with our pup. She is patient and kind. Our pup is the happiest to see her! She is definitely our go-to person to entrust our pup’s care !”

About: Whether your dog is a pup or a senior, I’ll give them all the care they need. Whether it’s a long active walk or just some time hanging out and playing with toys. My partner and I have one senior dog of our own, Vinny. Reach
“Natalie was so great! She took awesome care of both our cats for several days. Reports and photos were thorough so we could relax on vacation knowing all was well. Thank you!”

About: I've had pets growing up, and I was the main one caring for them. I've had dogs, a cat, guinea pigs, bunnies, fish, and a hamster. I love all animals, but mainly a dog lover! I have watched friends and family's pets. I did the basic care needs: walking, feeding, giving water, playing, and showing lots of love and attention. With my current dog, I have had to give her pills, so I also know different ways to give pills to dogs. I also know how to teach basic commands such as sit, stay, paw, and high-five. When I used to live in Texas, I volunteered to take a shelter senior dog for the day. I did basic care needs and even took him walking/running in a field before taking him back. I currently work a full-time job, anywhere from 7am-6pm on weekdays but I am free on weekends. I also don't mind going after work if you need someone to take your fur babies on a walk, do a check-in, or need to be fed/given water! I live with my boyfriend's family so unfortunately, I can't care for pets in my home. I don't mind just going to your house/apartment to care for your fur babies. I can take them for walks, play with them, keep them company, feed them, give them water, or even take them out the house for a little (a drive or even a walk around a store that allows pets).
About: I have one cat at home and two golden retrievers! I have cared for pets since I can remember! I have always had cats and dogs in my home. I love dog sitting and cat sitting! I will be available to walk and care for your pets! I love walking around my neighborhood! I work part time on my own schedule so I can be available quickly! I am very responsible and careful. When walking your pets I will make sure they are safe and happy! I do not have a fenced yard so while they’re playing outside I will be right there to make sure they are safe!
About: I have had dogs my entire life and always been around family and friends dogs! I love to be outside and go for walks and help take care of your sweet furry friends. I am working part time just in the mornings each day and have plenty of time in my routine to take care of your pets! I will always follow your guidelines and rules you have for your pet and complete any safety steps necessary to keep your pet happy and healthy.

Maude was so wonderful and did a fantastic job watching our two cats while we were away. Her daily updates and great communication made us feel more than comfortable while we could focus on a relaxing vacation. I'd absolutely hire her again in a heartbeat. Thanks Maude!
Lisa is awesome! She clearly has so much experience pet sitting. I appreciated her doing a meet and greet with Eloise prior to her dropping in last minute over the weekend. She was very detail oriented and my pup loved her! During her drop in, Lisa sent me SO many pictures of my pup and I knew Eloise was well taken care of. I will definitely be booking with Lisa again. Thank you!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Melrose with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
