“Angela was absolutely amazing with our cats! They seem to adore her & she sent lots of photos. Having her watch them gave us peace of mind while we were traveling!!”

“Liz is great! So communicative and thorough in how to take care of the pups. During the visit, numerous updates were provided and was super detailed about how everything went. Would definitely recommend her :)”

“When new people come over, my cat Tuffy usually hides, but he came right out to say hello to Lisa. That’s always a good sign in my book! Lisa took wonderful care of Tuffy, spending quality time with him and making sure he was happy and comfortable. She also sent daily updates with adorable pictures and videos, which I really appreciated. I can highly recommend Lisa and will definitely use her services again in the future.”

“Haowen was very patient in taking care of our cat, making sure she felt comfortable and loved the whole time. He sent us regular updates, paid attention to all the little details, and followed our instructions perfectly. We felt completely at ease knowing she was in such good hands.”

About: Hi! I’m Samantha, and caring for dogs has been a huge part of my life for years. I’ve volunteered with two different animal shelters, where I helped care for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Through fostering, I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs who have medical needs, giving medications, helping shy or anxious pups adjust, and providing the patience and consistency they need to thrive. My most recent foster ended up becoming a “foster fail”—my sweet girl, Petunia, who officially stole my heart and became a permanent member of my family. Before Petunia, I had my first dog, Cooper, for 16 wonderful years. Losing him was incredibly difficult, but he reinforced just how much joy and purpose dogs bring to my life. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, snuggling on the couch, or just having someone keep them company, I’ll treat them like one of my own. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and my goal is to make sure both you and your dog feel comfortable, safe, and happy. I’m also currently on the waitlist to volunteer with additional local shelters because I genuinely love helping dogs whenever I can. I can’t wait to meet your pup and give them the same love, attention, and care I’d want for my own. I currently work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule! I would love to stop in and take your dog for a walk! Can do day-of requests! I have a fenced in dog yard at my apartment complex that I take my dog to! We also love the walking path in Everett that goes down to Encore!
“Amber has only spent two days with my pup and I can already tell they are going to be friends! He’s happy and lively when I come home so I know he is getting a lot out of her visits!”

About: I grew up with dogs and animals around me so would love to continue being around them. Life is boring without them, in our world. I work full time and go to school during the week would love to help people out during the weekend and maybe even weekdays if there is that relationship. I currently am not offering pet sitting at my house because my Roomate is allergic but I can come to the dogs home and care for them.
About: I worked for two years at a pet hotel / doggy day care. I dog sat regularly throughout grad school. I have lived with many roommates with pets and helped on the caretaking. I had two dogs growing up. I have a flexible weekly schedule. I just need a few days advance notice. I live in the greater Boston area and have a car. I am familiar with every type of leash and harness from my days working at Wagsworth Pet Manor. I am happy to care for the pets in the same way that their owners care for them.
“Annaliese has been petsitting my 2 cats for a few months now and it gives me such peace of mind to have someone who takes such good care of them! She is so thoughtful and on point and takes amazing pictures of my cats. I can tell she really cares about them and they love her.”

About: I am a Certified Dog Trainer (Catch Canine Trainers Academy), and I have a first aid for pets certification. If you want to entrust your dog to a compassionate professional, I'm your guy. I am a dog trainer, and pet parent, and I have some extra availability for dog walking. If you live near me I can fit you into my schedule. As a dog trainer, I am very experienced in pet care. I train dogs in all my interactions with them, out of habit, but also because I wan't them to have happy lives.
About: I have had many beloved pet dogs and have dog sat for friends and family when they go on vacation. I feel like I have a special connection with dogs and understand their wants and needs. My family jokingly refers to me as the "Dog Whisperer" I am retired but work out of the home part time as a crossing guard. One hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. My wife is home during the morning hour. We have a small extremely friendly 2 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Milo. He loves to play with every dog he has met and is extremely gentle and loving. We have a fenced in front yard and back yard with plenty of room for small dogs to roam and a quiet neighborhood for leash walks.
“Bryn did a great job! She was wonderfully calm and patient when we did our meet and greet, letting my dog calm down and then come to her before trying to interact, quickly gaining my dog's trust. She was able to take my slightly excitable old pooch out for a pee break and guide her past other dogs in the complex without incident. She checked the water bowl and gave me good feedback. Communications have been prompt and thorough.”

“Kathryn was amazing. She really took the time with our cats during the drop in visits. She kept us posted the whole time we were away. Super friendly, trustworthy, and dependable.”

“Alex did a great job of communicating how our two new kittens were doing every day. He also made sure to give them playtime everyday. This is the second time we’ve had Alex take care of our cats, and I would recommend him to anyone and hire him again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Malden
On time, very communicative. Our silver lab doesn’t trust many people and can be very standoffish. During the meet and greet he went up to Monica, sniffed, wagged his tail and felt comfortable with her. Our chocolate lab immediately brought her a toy-so he built trust with her. Will def use Monica again!
We had a wonderful experience with Jolene! She responded to messages quickly, was reliable and responsible, and took such great care of Maggie and Lucy. It was clear she genuinely loves dogs, and they felt comfortable and well cared for with her. We would absolutely trust her to watch Maggie and Lucy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, dependable, and trustworthy pet sitter!

Nik was awesome. Whiskey is very anxious and Nik gave him all the attention he needed. He also took care of Whiskey after his paw surgery and sent us updates throughout the day. When he came back home, Whiskey was happy to see him and comfortable to be around him. We will hire Nik again.

Dalia is an exceptionally responsible and detail-oriented person. She is very kind and caring with dogs, and often goes above and beyond expectations by taking on extra work. She is highly reliable, and I strongly recommend her. I will definitely continue working with Dalia in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Malden with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
