“Elisa was absolutely wonderful, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She came to our rescue at the very last minute while we were out of the country, and she went above and beyond in every way. She was incredibly patient, compassionate, and attentive with all three of our cats. She took the time to understand each of their personalities and made sure each one received the care they needed. Our newest kitten, Sally, was recovering from a medical issue and required daily oral medication, and Elisa handled a very challenging situation with remarkable calm, professionalism, and kindness. It was immediately clear that she has extensive experience with animals and is exceptionally knowledgeable about feline behavior. Knowing our cats were in her care gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were thousands of miles away. Elisa was also an excellent communicator, keeping us updated throughout every visit and making us feel connected despite the distance. We are so grateful that she was willing to help us on such short notice, and we truly don’t know what we would have done without her. I recommend Elisa 100% and would trust her with our cats again without hesitation. She is an outstanding pet sitter.”

About: I grew up with dogs, and have watched pets for neighbors, friends, and family throughout my life. I am looking to give my neighbors peace of mind that their dog is cared for and having a great adventure while they are off on their travels! I live close to parks for fetch, green spaces for sniffing, and have a couch for pups to cuddle up on with me and my dog Lilly. I have experience administering medicine for dogs and work from home most of the week. I would love to be your pups home away from home! I work from home Monday and Friday, and do not work weekends. I can easily let your dog out with my adult dog Lilly (4-5 times per day), if your dog needs more frequent potty breaks that is no issue just let me know! I have a quiet apartment with a large deck for dogs to sunbath and get fresh air! I live close to a park near quiet streets for long walks.
“Nicole was so wonderful with my cat, who is on the delicate side and doesn’t warm up to strangers easily. She followed his daily routine closely and was punctual with every visit, which made all the difference for a cat who relies on his consistency. Her communication was lovely throughout - timely daily updates, quick replies to my messages, and such genuine attentiveness to his needs. I came home to a calm, happy cat, which says it all. Thank you, Nicole - highly recommend!”

“This was my second booking with Tran and Kiko loves her. Finding a person that loves your dog just as much as you do is not easy. She is always sending updates and pictures with Kiko. I will definitely book again.”

“Elsa was great! We just needed a few drop-ins for our cats while we were gone for the long weekend. Elsa was on time, followed medication instructions for our old(er) cats, fed/watered/cleaned their box as needed, locked up and set our alarm when she left, and sent us plenty of pics during her visits. No complaints! It was our first time using Rover so this was a good first experience. We definitely recommend Elsa.”
“Incredibly kind and willing to go above and beyond! My instructions were unclear but Annaliese made sure to communicate with me quickly and was able to make sure that my boys had what they needed. Absolutely going to use her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of many types of dogs for my whole life. I have experience with reactive dogs and know how to handle them. I also have a senior dog that takes medication (sometimes) so i’m also experienced in that! I just love animals and would treat yours like my own! I only a couple days a week so I have plenty of time to go on long walks and play for as long as ur dog wants. I’m a very active person and would love to have a friend for runs and walks. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, provide plenty of love and attention, keep a clean environment, and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away.
“Szu is incredibly responsible and attentive! We even asked her last minute to help with our automatic litter box, and she handled everything perfectly. Highly recommended!”

“Hope was awesome!! She was so responsive and always provided extra information if I had follow up questions. She did a great job playing with Sushi and I’ll be sure to book her again if I ever need a sitter.”

“Our old, shy cat absolutely adores Ren; other than us, she's the only one he shows his face for! She's a great communicator, and both cats do great with her.”
“Rebecca was amazing! She was super communicative and my lil buddy was super happy to see her everytime she visited! She took great care of my cat while i was away and provided great info on how he was doing so i wouldn’t be anxious! thank you again!! 💕”

“Emily did such a great job with Ziggy and Smokey! She was consistent, attentive, and super communicative. I felt like my babies were loved and well cared for while I was away.”

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. From training my first family dog, to boarding multiple dogs at a time in high school, to now taking care of pups around the city - I have loved every second of it! I treat dogs like humans - taking into consideration their feelings and wants. Unfortunately, I am not always home so it wouldn't be fair to get a dog of my own. But the times I am home for extended periods of time, I love being able to spend time with and take care of a dog like they're my own. My old roommate had the Rover account we used in the past but she moved out so I wanted to get my own!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10. I have a dog myself that lives in Houston with my parents. I have been taking care of dogs in Boston since 2020 when I moved here. I have been taking care of dogs overnight since 2021. I have experience with all breeds, sizes and ages. I also have experience with blind and deaf dogs. I work from home. There are about 5 days a month I travel for work but the rest of the month I am home and available for any type of service. The dates I am unavailable are known a few weeks in advance. I live in an apartment but there is ample outdoor space. I go on at least 3 walks a day myself so I can easily take your pet with me. I have no pets myself but Charlestown is a very dog friendly area.
“Emma was great! Asked for a last-minute drop-in and she accommodated, even though I asked for a few specific things. Will definitely work with her again!”

“I’ve been on this app for many years and have a myriad of sitters, however this is the best experience I’ve had. Noelle has been an absolute legend! She's so communicative, incredible with the old and fragile Spaniel or the bizarre and unwieldy chihuahua. I’m grateful for people like Noelle that make time away from our treasured roommates so stress free!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Charlestown
Ella has been taking care of Charlie for the past few months, and I feel so lucky to have found her. She is incredibly dependable, kind, and has such a gentle, caring nature. From the very beginning, she treated Charlie as if he were her own, and that means the world to me. Knowing Charlie is with someone I completely trust gives me so much peace of mind. He’s always excited to see her, and it’s clear she genuinely loves what she does. Ella is reliable, thoughtful, and always keeps me updated, which I really appreciate. I can’t recommend her highly enough. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your dog with love, patience, and genuine attention, Ella is truly wonderful.

Megan was awesome! She took such great care of our dogs while we were visiting Boston, checking in on them, taking them for walks, and spending quality playtime with them. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were happy and well cared for while we explored the city. Her communication was excellent, with regular updates that made the whole experience completely stress-free. We truly appreciated her help and wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with Kristin. She took excellent care of Leo, including administering his medications, following his specific feeding routine, and visiting him multiple times each day. She followed all our instructions carefully and treated him with so much patience and kindness. I would highly recommend her!

On time, very communicative. Our silver lab doesn’t trust many people and can be very standoffish. During the meet and greet he went up to Monica, sniffed, wagged his tail and felt comfortable with her. Our chocolate lab immediately brought her a toy-so he built trust with her. Will def use Monica again!
Kaitlin is amazing with any and all animals. My dog just loves her to pieces! She is so thorough and caring towards animals. I am able to fully feel at ease with kaitlin walking my dog. She sends lots of pictures and updates. Kaitlin will be my go to dog sitter! Thank you!

Had my first drop in with Emily and she was so reassuring! She sent me pictures and updates during the drop in and was very in tune with my dog’s temperament. She genuinely cares about you and your dog!! If you are looking for someone to trust your dog with, Emily is the person!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
