About: I've always had a dog growing up, lived with cats for many years, and have been house sitting for four years in many states across the US! I don't have any pets, children, plants, etc. to take care of that are my own - so very available for other peoples pets! Outside of pet sitting, I am a Clinical Psychology PhD Student at Suffolk University. I have class all day Monday, but am flexible Tuesday through Friday. *Disclaimer: I do not currently own a car! In the clients home, I always respect the space and am sure to leave the space cleaner than I found it, but open to client preferences with what to clean versus leave be 😊

About: I’ve been around dogs and animals my entire life and have always had a huge heart for them. My grandpa was a veterinarian, so growing up I had the opportunity to help him care for animals and became comfortable around pets with all different personalities and needs. I also have a mini Goldendoodle of my own who I truly treat like my little kid! 🐾 I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I’ll always treat yours with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Whether that means walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, or simply keeping them company, my goal is to make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. I recently finished my master’s degree at Northeastern University and am currently doing remote work while looking for my next full-time position, so my schedule is very open and flexible! I’m home most days and have plenty of availability throughout the week for drop-in visits, walks, and spending time with your pets. I’m also flexible with timing and happy to work around your pet’s normal routine as much as possible. I’ll always treat your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’ll follow any instructions you leave, keep your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible, and make sure they’re comfortable and safe while you’re away. I’m also happy to send plenty of pictures and updates so you know your pet is happy and being well taken care of!
“Haowen was amazing with my rabbits! This was my first time using Rover and it was a great first experience! He sent us pictures every day of what he was doing and when I got back from vacation, their area was spotless and they had plenty of food and water! He followed all of my instructions to a tea. Also, while I was gone my rabbits ran out of food, but he went to the pet store to grab more for us! He also picked up my Amazon packages for me which was nice. Definitely going to rebook him again!”

“Annaliese always does a great job checking in on my fur baby when I’m away. She sends me photos and updates, and treats my home/space with respect. My cat loves her and is well taken care of. I would hire Annaliese again - I already have, and would encourage you to hire her as well.”

About: I've had multiple dogs in my life since I was a child, and truly believe that they make anyone's life better! I have trained two dogs from puppy age all the way to senior age before moving to Boston (you can see my lovely dogs in my photo gallery). After coming to Boston, I would love to take care of your dog and give them tons of love! Happy to chat about what your dog needs :) I'm a student, who works during the week. I have a flexible work schedule, and it is extremely common to take breaks in the day to check in/walk dogs! I'm completely free on the weekends, and would love to take care of your dog during a vacation or trip. I don't have any dogs at home, so no worries if your dog doesn't necessarily love other dogs! I have a small yard, but live super close to two dog parks. My house is spacious, and there is room for a crate if needed. I'm also experienced in taking care of puppies, reactive dogs, and senior dogs.
“Szu yu was very communicative and so so caring for my cats. I appreciate her letting me know they were doing alright and sent lots of photos. Reliable, and on time. I highly recommend Szu yu.”

“Ally is awesome!! My dog absolutely loved her and she did everything I needed her to do, even on short notice! She also was great at keeping in contact and sending pics! If you need a sitter, Ally is your girl! Thanks for loving on my big girl! :)”

About: I grew up with dogs, and have watched pets for neighbors, friends, and family throughout my life. I am looking to give my neighbors peace of mind that their dog is cared for and having a great adventure while they are off on their travels! I live close to parks for fetch, green spaces for sniffing, and have a couch for pups to cuddle up on with me and my dog Lilly. I have experience administering medicine for dogs and work from home most of the week. I would love to be your pups home away from home! I work from home Monday and Friday, and do not work weekends. I can easily let your dog out with my adult dog Lilly (4-5 times per day), if your dog needs more frequent potty breaks that is no issue just let me know! I have a quiet apartment with a large deck for dogs to sunbath and get fresh air! I live close to a park near quiet streets for long walks.
“Emily was the perfect cat sitter! She responded very quickly to all of my messages and maintained great communication throughout the entire time I was gone. I would definitely book with Emily again.”

“Arianna was prompt and communicative! She sent pictures of Toby and kept me updated with how he was doing, and was responsive when arranging the booking beforehand. Wouldn't hesitate to book with her again!”

About: Hi! I grew up with dogs & cats throughout my childhood and then got a dog of my own during COVID. Due to a breakup, I no longer have my dog & have been chasing to get puppy snuggles wherever possible. I have dog sat for friends and family countless time. I also volunteer occasionally at the Animal Rescue League of NH & also am looking forward to find a MA organization, now that I live down in MA! I work full time with 2 days in the office. The other 3 weekdays, I work fully remote & am flexible! If you live close by, I can stop by to let your dog out, take them for a walk or just give them some love for a bit. And of course, I’d love to stay at your home if needed (and could even work remotely from there if you’re okay with that!) I’m happy to accommodate to whatever you need in your own home! Since I don’t own my current place & have a dog living here currently, I am only offering services outside of my house. This will include- dog walking & in house visits/stays for cats & dogs. However, that means you get to tell me where everything is & we don’t need to take your perfect dog/cat out of their safe space. 🤍
“Carson and Paige took great care of my elderly kitty while I was away. They gave her a lot of attention and interaction, and took care of all her needs. I highly recommend them!”

Emily was amazing! She took such great care of my puppy, especially while he was recovering from being neutered, and even made a point to give my cat some love during her visits. My puppy can be a little wary of new people, but he and Emily hit it off quickly, and he always looked so happy in the photos she sent. She is incredibly friendly, reliable, and clearly wonderful with animals. I would absolutely recommend her!

I’m very thankful that I found Szu. She helped to feed my dogs when I really needed as I was away. She answers my questions and followed my instructions. She offered to do more than I asked for. I highly recommend her services and I’ll book her services again.

Alexandra filled in for us super last-minute due to a cancellation, and not only read through the list of what to expect with our dog / what we needed for a visit, but was patient with our dog meeting a new person, took extra photos, wrote up a through ‘report’ after the walk + visit, and was extremely responsive via messaging. Couldn’t ask for more!

Jasmine filled in last minute for me to come let my pups out while I was away in Rhode Island for a wedding. She was super communicative, very punctual and incredible communicator while she was with the pups midday. I appreciate her sending a thorough update and taking them out multiple times to go to the bathroom. I would love to have Jasmine back.

We were visiting Boston to see friends in from out of town for the wknd and going to be away from our hotel during the day. Rita took such good care of our golden both days. It gave us peace of mind to see photos of our baby smiling on her outings with Rita and that she was having some fun while we were away. Rita fed her dinner and played with her in the room too. We will definitely reach out to Rita for help again!

I am so happy I chose Tess to take care of my Fenway! I went on a trip out of country and last minute had to find someone to watch my miniature dachshund. For the past four years, I have only had family or close friends watch him, based on his behavioral issues. He has fear reactivity to strangers, children, and other dogs. It’s hard to find someone who is willing to take the time to learn his quirks and get on his good side, while keeping him safe. Tess did just that and more, which I am so grateful for! Tess gave me in depth updates on how their time together went and took the cutest photos of my fenway! I couldn’t recommend her more and will be booking with her again 1000%!!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
