“We can't recommend Julia enough! Finding someone trustworthy for a high-energy puppy wasn't easy, but Julia has been a lifesaver. Reliable, friendly, and genuinely caring. The regular photos and detailed updates always brighten our workday, including funny photos of our cats adjusting to a new puppy brother. Our pets absolutely adore her!”

“Sydney was wonderful to work with. The cats took to her easily, she communicated well and accomplished everything we needed from her. Because of her care we were able to fully enjoy our trip. Thanks again!”

“Darby was great with my 1 yr old Aussie pup! He has a ton of energy and he seemed happy when I got back. My apartment was left just the way I had it and communication was very fast ☺️”

About: Since middle school, I have cared for all kinds of dogs, including my Havanese, Max! Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and take care of their dogs. I also have experience volunteering at an animal shelter, where I walked and played with dogs and attended local adoption events to spread awareness. I also currently volunteer at an animal hospital in Boston. I'm currently working full-time, but I definitely still have the time to take care of your pups! I'm available for dog walking anytime on weekends and weekdays after 5 p.m. My goal is to make sure that your dog feels safe, happy, and well-exercised while staying in touch with you every step of the way!
About: Dogs have a special place in my heart. I’ve spent the last 6 years raising and training my own dog from puppyhood into a well-mannered adult, and I recently rescued another puppy who I am doing the same with. I’m very comfortable with everything from potty training to socialization and routines. I understand how important consistency, safety, and communication are, and I treat every pet like my own while respecting your wishes and routine. You’ll get regular updates, photos, and a very loved on puppy when you get home. I’m currently working virtually so I have a lot of time on my hands for your best friends! I’m open to be flexible to your needs. When pets stay with me, I try to make things feel as close to “home” as possible. I follow your routine for feeding, potty breaks, and playtime, and I’m big on safety as well. I build in a mix of exercise and quiet time so pets feel calm and comfortable. I also make an effort to send regular photo updates so you always know how your bff is doing! When I’m caring for pets in their own space, I respect your home and your rules. I keep to your schedule, tidy up food/litter areas, and make sure everything is exactly how you left it. I pay attention to behavior and appetite, watch for anything out of the ordinary, and give plenty of love while you’re away. You can expect clear communication, check-ins, and honesty from me!
“Absolute pleasure working with Emma, she went above and beyond when we got stuck away from home because of the blizzard. Thank you for braving the snow and the wind to keep them happy and fed! We finally made it home to find happy and well taken care of cats. Thank you so much and we look forward to trusting our cats with you in the future, I'm sure they will be excited to see you again :)”

“Bonnie was very responsive and we really appreciated her great communication and photos. She was reliable and responsible and we would not hesitate to book with her again in the future. Her service gave us such peace of mind while we were away.”

“Nimisha took such great care of my 3 dogs, she sent lots of pictures and kept me updated on them each time she stopped over. I was able to enjoy the weekend away without worrying because they were clearly in the best hands. Grateful to have found her and will definitely be using her again 😊”

“Alexa is an amazing cat sitter! She took great care of our 2 cats - coming morning and night to feed them, giving them lots of love, and make sure they were doing well while we were out of town for 5days. She absolutely went above and beyond, including searching the house for Daisy when she didn’t see her as usual one evening. Turned out Daisy had gotten locked in the attic after our cleaners came earlier that day, so we were very lucky Alexa was there and was so attentive and responsible. Thank you so much Alexa! We’d love to have you sit again for us in the future!”

About: I truly love animals and always care about making them feel comfortable and happy. While I am early in my pet sitting journey, I recently cared for a friend's dog for a week. I strictly followed the feeding, walking, and care schedule, and my friend was very happy with my service. Currently, I do not have any pets at home, so I can give your pet my full, undivided attention. To give you peace of mind while you are away, I can send you updates with photos every 1–2 hours. I'm currently staying at home full-time, so I have a lot of free time to spend with your pets. My schedule is very flexible, allowing me to focus on giving them plenty of love, attention, and regular walks throughout the day. My home is smoke-free and perfume-free in a pet-friendly apartment, creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for your pets. There is a lovely park within a 10-minute walk where I can take them for refreshing walks and fun playtime.
About: I have helped take care of my parents' dogs since I was a kid. While I don’t have any pets of my own (yet!) I love to be around them. I am comfortable with watching a few dogs at a time, and even walking more than one at a time since my parents have 4 large dogs. I am also very comfortable with puppies, including potty and other training, having helped train 5 of my parents' dogs. I have watched other peoples’ dogs, and I know what questions I need to ask to get an idea of how to care for them well. I have experience caring for very young puppies, senior dogs, and dogs in heat. I've been missing the time with my family dogs and would be honored to spend time with yours! I’m currently between jobs having just finished graduate school so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I know the importance of routine for our furry friends and am looking for some of that for myself right now too! I will likely ask many questions when we first meet in order to make sure I know everything I need to care for your beloved pet properly. I love to send updates and photos to keep you in the loop and make you feel comfortable knowing your pups are well taken care of!

“Best cat sitting experience of our cat-having lives. Dennis is patient and knows that every cat has their own style, and somehow he found Minka’s and they became pals. Minka is shy and skittish but Dennis’s cat skills won out. She went from hiding from him to waiting for him at the window. He always stayed to play with this high energy lass. The updates really made our day every time. Dennis is the best there is.”

“Lulu took amazing care of our cat and provided detailed updates after each visit along with pictures and videos while feeding, giving insulin injections, cleaning up after, and spending time with Callie. We look forward to booking with her again!”

About: Hello, I’ve been on rover for a year and a halfbuilding clientele. Most of my recurring dogs are between the ages of 1 and 11. Mostly just dog walking, or drop-in visits. Currently working full-time from 9-5 therefore my availability is mostly open on weekday evenings, anytime after 6pm. My weekend schedule is flexible and available in the morning, afternoon, or evening. I’ll send pictures throughout the walk as a way to provide updates and confirm safety of your pet. An after-visit summary will be provided afterwards.
“Hafeezat is always such a pleasure. She keeps me posted and her great pics of my Edgar always bring a smile to my face. She is always prompt and communicative. Highly recommend!”

Tess looked after my puppy for me while I was at work this summer and I couldn’t think of a better person for the job! She was so communicative and detail oriented, took great notes on his eating and bathroom schedule. My roommates continuously commented on how sweet she was with him and how well he did with her! I couldn’t recommend her more!!

We were visiting Boston to see friends in from out of town for the wknd and going to be away from our hotel during the day. Rita took such good care of our golden both days. It gave us peace of mind to see photos of our baby smiling on her outings with Rita and that she was having some fun while we were away. Rita fed her dinner and played with her in the room too. We will definitely reach out to Rita for help again!

Amanda was punctual, communicative, and clear about what my dog Charlie was doing. Most important, she was sweet and kind to Charlie, giving her belly rubs and love. I appreciated her kind demeanor and how responsible she was in leaving everything the way I requested. I would request Amanda with enthusiasm next time I need someone to come walk and watch Charlie!
Julia is the best!!! She's been doing drop in visits with my dog for the past year while I've been at the office and is so communicative and reliable. Willow can be a little anxious about going outside but Julia handled it wonderfully and took such good care of her, giving her a bathroom break, food, medicine, and lots of cuddles and sending me lots of cute pics. Would use Julia forever if we weren't moving out of state. Can't recommend her enough!

Zoe is absolutely amazing. I can tell she genuinely cares about my pup and loves dogs. Zoe is responsive and even writes a detailed report of what they did and how he was behaving. She also takes so many cute pictures every time! Absolutely love having her take care of my pup :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
