Looking for walks or drop ins on my day off during the week and some opportunities on weekends. I am clean, respectful and reliable. I plan on having my jobs be walks/drop ins, so I will not be spending long amounts of time in clients homes.

“Carol, thank you for taking care of my two persian kitties. I appreciate you giving the pill to Otis and I loved your photos. I'm looking forward to having you sit again for my babies.”

About: ‼️if this is your first time booking on rover, message me to get $20 off! 🐾 About Me Hi! My name is Jacqueline. I’ve spent several years working with dogs in different environments including dog walking, daycare-style settings, and in-home boarding. Through this experience I’ve worked with many different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I went to a vocational High School to study animal science and have occupational experience as well. I bring a higher level of knowledge and training than typical pet sitters. My approach to pet care focuses on creating a calm, structured, and safe environment where dogs can relax and feel comfortable while their owners are away. Every dog is treated with patience, supervision, and individual attention. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. 📝 What to Bring for Your Dog for Boarding To help your dog feel comfortable during their stay, please bring: • your dog’s regular food • food and water bowl • leash or harness • any medications they require • treats that your dog enjoys Familiar items can help dogs adjust more easily to a new environment. ❗️NOTE: -please do not bring toys for your dog as many dogs tend to exhibit resource guarding when placed in unfamiliar areas and get defensive over their special toy. 💬 Communication Clear communication helps ensure the best possible stay for your pet. I’m always happy to answer questions before or during a booking, and I appreciate owners sharing details about their dog’s routine, preferences, and personality. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every dog in my care. I structure my daily routine around feeding schedules, potty breaks, enrichment time, and consistent exercise to make sure every animal in my care feels secure and loved. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or nighttime wind-downs, I prioritize routine, safety, and positive reinforcement. Caring for animals isn’t something I “fit in” — it’s already built into how I live, so your pet will receive attentive, reliable care just like my own. Outside of my class schedule, pet care is a major part of my daily routine. I spend a lot of time with my own dog, including regular walks, park visits, and enrichment activities throughout the week. I’m very attentive to pets’ needs and make sure they get plenty of exercise, stimulation, and affection each day.

I also love going on walks or runs and cuddling with your fur baby if they'll let me I have a fenced yard where your dog can have supervised playtime and a large living room where your pet and I can hang out. I'm also happy to run or walk walk your dog as often as needed! I can offer intense and safe play for high energy dogs. “Emily was fantastic! She has a very calming demeanor and was so patient with my active dog! She really kept me in the loop when I was away with updates and pictures of my dog, and made sure he was well cared for! Emily is a competent, trustworthy, reliable and warm dog sitter whom I highly recommend!”

About: I am a freelance artist by trade, I'm looking to earn some supplementary by putting to good use my love of animals and experience as a lifetime pet owner. I have been the primary caretaker for animals basically my whole life, growing up alongside furry siblings as long as I can reliably remember, including several dogs with behavioral issues such as separation anxiety and jealousy problems. My mother trained as a vet tech and taught me a lot, and is always happy to help even now if I need an extra hand or some expert advice. I have trained dogs, including potty training and dissuading problem behaviors (excessive barking, begging for food, etc.) I have experience caring for dogs in individual, group, and playgroup settings and love all animals. I cannot drive but I can engage in light to moderate dog walking just fine! I use public transport and ridesharing to get around. If you have any further questions about what might be within my wheelhouse feel more than free to ask! As a freelance artist, my schedule for work is fairly flexible and I can plan around pet care time and stays away from home with a lot of freedom, making it possible for me to keep my schedule fluid and make the animal in my care the priority of my routine. I have an apartment in Arlington I spend most of my time at but it's not the best for pets so for boarding jobs I visit and make use of my parents home in Winchester. They and their dog love the company! It has a fenced outdoor area where dogs can easily run, play, and of course go to the bathroom. It is accessible via a basement door and most dogs get the hang of it pretty easily (but I am happy to provide extra help for dogs who struggle with stairs or need other extra accomodations.) It is also home to my parents who love furry guests, and of course Emma, an extremely friendly and patient English Setter who adores playing hostess! I am also of course happy to visit other homes to care for pets, both for drop ins and overnight. I will always take the safety and cleanliness of your home seriously! In other's homes I'm happy to adapt to what resources are available and what areas and routines the dog is generally used to and comfortable with in their own usual environment!
“Shawn dropped in to take care of our two cats multiple days during our long vacation. It was a huge relief knowing they were in good hands and getting photos each day. She followed our detailed feeding instructions that involved wet food with medication mixed in, and measuring out dry food on a scale. She also gave us detailed updates on their behavior and it was clear she really cared about their comfort and mood while we were gone. Thank you Shawn, would definitely book again!”

“Blane was super organized— reached out in advance to come meet the kitties and see the house. The updates we got were so full of love and we 100% knew the cats were in good hands. It was also very easy to ask for a few extra things like making sure the AC was on and the windows were closed when the weather changed. Thanks so much!! We’ll definitely be repeat customers.”

“Julia was fantastic- we really loved her watching our two cats! It was important to us that they have play time and attention while we were away, and they clearly loved her.”

About: I've grown up with dogs my whole life. First it was Bow, then Mandy and currently Stella a six year old very super energetic springer. I am a full blown illustrator juggling at least 3 or 4 clients a month, I would also like to supplement this with helping to care for your pets! wether it is in your home or mine, crate or no crate, big or small, energetic or docile, separation anxiety or independent, I am able to adapt to your dogs mannerism. It is important to make them feel safe and loved especially when separated from their person!
About: Hi there! I'm Devika (she/her), and I also identify as certified dog aunt to all dogs in the land. In all seriousness, I feel very attuned to dogs specifically, even those with diverse temperaments and needs. I grew up with a family dog, a shih-tzu named Leo, who passed away after a beautiful 17 years. After graduating, I didn't have the resources to commit to a full-time dog as much as I love them. There began my fostering journey during which I cared for 10+ dogs (varied breeds, sizes, and ages), anywhere from a few days to several months. During their time with me as their foster mom, these pups were able to acclimate to domestic life and work towards getting ready for their forever homes. Each foster experience was unique and I learned something new from each pup. That curiosity and attentive care is what I bring to dog care. Outside of my endless love for pups, I am also a clinical psychology doctoral student which brings a whole other facet to my dog care. With my background in trauma, anxiety, and behavioral interventions, I also bring an astute and knowledgeable eye to caring for animals. This includes trauma-informed care (no restraints unless absolutely necessary for safety), thoughtful approaching, and gently authoritative training (only if indicated). Importantly, I completely respect the autonomy of pet-owners in how they want to raise and care for their pet, and will carry out duties to a tee. My top priority is for your pet to feel safe and loved, and for you to have peace of mind while you leave your baby in my care. Please reach out with any questions and I'd love to connect more! I am available on weeknights and weekends to for dog-walking, drop ins, and house sitting. I can dedicate my time to providing your animal with utmost care. I live close to Beaver Brook Reservation and am also able to go to more secluded areas if your dog is sensitive or has other needs. I provide updates during your pup's time with me and am a strong communicator about scheduling. I care for pets in a safe, thoughtful, and generous way. I am able to adapt to the dog's needs, and am happy to accommodate to the level of care you prefer and need. I am so excited to meet you and your pup!
“Maeli was able to help us on short notice, which we really appreciated. She even came ahead of time to learn how to take care of our guinea pigs, which meant a lot to us. Since this was our first time leaving our pets with someone else, having someone reliable and trustworthy was super important, and she was great. Everything went smoothly, and I’d definitely reach out to her again if we need help in the future. 🐹🐹”

We all love Shawn! She's been caring for our puppy 4x/week for the last month. She's consistent, thoughtful, and he's so happy to see her each morning. Communication has been super easy and she's very attentive to the daily, ever-changing needs of a new puppy. Thanks Shawn!

We are so thrilled to have discovered Carol! She is knowledgeable, caring, and was so great with our dog. We'd only had our dog Josie for 1.5 months and it was our first time away since adopting her. Carol came for drop ins and went above and beyond to make sure that Josie felt comfortable throughout the trip. She kept us updated with photos and details and gave us such peace of mind while being away. We can't wait to book Carol again!

Alyssa took amazing care of my dog and cat while I was away for a work trip. She was very kind and understanding about my nerves of being away and leaving them but she was able to ease my worries with all of her detailed updates and many pictures of my pets. Thank you so much Alyssa!

Natasha was Great! She watched over our 4-month old puppy while we went out on our own for the first time. She got him through the whining and right into playing, training and resting. She took pictures, and gave us a thoughtful report on what she saw, based on her experience in training dogs. Highly recommended!

Stitches’ tail doesn’t wiggle for just anybody—but with Julia, it never stops! He can instantly sense her great energy, and it’s clear how comfortable and happy he feels around her. She’s so patient, caring, and attentive with him, and even in just 30 minutes, she makes such a positive difference in his day. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. Julia is truly amazing with him, and I couldn’t ask for a better dog walker and sitter! 🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment.
