As the parent of a 8yo reactive Miniature American Shepherd, I understand the anxiety of finding safe, reliable, loving care for your pup/cat. Because of this, I also understand how amazing it is to find that caretaker who you can confidently turn to and know that your dog/cat will be in safe hands that treat them with as much love and kindness as you do. I want to pay forward this peace of mind! :) And I'd love to help take care of your pup or cat while you're away. I am very active and would love to take your pup on trail hikes or long neighborhood walks (or if they're a runner I'd be down for that too!). Or if you have a couch potato pal I'm happy to take them for bathroom breaks and then just chill together with plenty of kisses, pets, and loves.

I have only ever used positive reinforcement training with my own pup - dishing out lots of treats and praise to reinforce preferred behavior. I would treat your animal with this same approach and focus on building trust-based, positive relationships. I'm a notetaker, so when we do our initial meet and greet, I'll be sure to record all preferred treatment and care so that I can maintain your pup/kitty's routine as closely as possible.

Hillary was a great find in the "eleventh hour" of my search for service. She dropped in and took really good care of my dog while I was far away for the day. Hillary is the most fantastic dog-mom and dog-lover I know! My older dog and I have known Hillary for many years now and have both witnessed and experienced what a caring, loving, and knowledgeable person she is when it comes to the world of dogs. Part of what we have witnessed is how she interacts with dogs who have special behavioral needs in terms of being reactive to other dogs and/or people. She is very experienced in using a positive approach to working with dogs and has demonstrated such a strong commitment to getting to know the dogs she meet's personalities, quirks, and what brings them joy. From seeing how deeply and wonderfully she has cared for her own dog, Finn, she invests so much of her time and energy to make sure Finn is happy, well-exercised, stimulated, and rewarded for being the best girl in the world! I have no doubt that she will treat your own dog(s) as if they are her own and that you and your pooch will love her as deeply and fondly as mine and I do! I couldn't recommend anyone more!

Schedule
I work from home on Mondays and Fridays with a fairly flexible schedule so can stop in for a walk or bathroom break at anytime during those days. And weekend drop ins or in-home stays are much more flexible!
