We are thrilled we found Alyssa! It's clear she puts a lot of care into pet sitting. She put us at ease while we were on vacation for a week. She took care of our cat, played with her and gave her food. She communicated the appropriate amount and even took care of our cat's throw up. We appreciated the daily reports and photos. We will definitely book her again. :)

Kathleen is wonderful and I feel so lucky to have found her. She takes such great care of my senior dachshund Jack! She will be watching him soon when we travel and I’m so grateful I don’t need to board Jack because of his separation anxiety, plus he loves the comforts of his home. Thanks for going above and beyond, Kathleen!

Susie was great with my Maine Coon Suka. She was professional and communicative. Suka is not used to meeting new people and can be an intimidating large cat, but Susie knew to give Suka her space and wait for when she’s ready. Suka warmed up to her and was side swiping her and rubbing against her. I’d hire Susie again.

About: Since I was 4, I've been caring for all kinds of animals, especially dogs. At one time as a kid, we had 4 Great Danes! I've had mixed breeds and purebreds, athletes and couch potatoes, puppies, seniors, and special needs. I've also trained them although I've never been certified. Something common that friends say after their dog has spent a week or more with me is "how come my dog is now better behaved?" Your neighborhood or mine, the local park, the dog park, or on dog friendly trails. One dog or many. Having had all kinds of pets, including a 23 year old cat who required daily fluids and Miralax because of kidney failure and old cat dry colon, a dog that suffered seizures, and others. I even had a big 7 pound black and white adult rabbit that I found dumped in the state forest; she was litter box trained, had the run of the house, used the big dog crate as her private home, and would take turns playing with and chasing the 93 pound dog. I've just always seemed to understand dogs in particular and vice versa. The same is usually true with other animals too. I even enjoy caring for dogs that are hyper! Just let me know first in case I've got low energy dogs with me. What you can expect: Boarding and daycare are usually canine adventure time with me. Assuming your pooch is up for it, they'll accompany us on an adventure where they usually be able to play with other dogs, swim, and go on hikes. When the weather doesn't cooperate, that usually means pack walks somewhere like Lowes or somewhere else inside. If your dog tends to be stressed around other dogs and not well socialized, they'll have fun, learn that they are safe and can enjoy themselves while learning to be social and resilient. This is also great for improving their fitness and overall health. I work remotely, set my schedule, and nothing makes me happier that being with and doing things with dogs. Dog park? Trails? It's field trip and adventure time, if your beast is up for it. Play dates? Why not! Up for playing with my dog who is vaccinated for probably everything and wants to chase and be chased? Not a problem. Special needs or a senior? Just let me know. I have a fenced yard and a happy, boisterous 6 year old, 57 pound dog who adjusts his play style to what other dogs like. If he's too much for your dog, he takes correction from them, no problem, or I can put them in different places. He even lets little dogs beat him up without protest and if your dog likes rough play, he'll accomodate. He's happy and loves people and dogs. He has zero resource guarding issues; if your's does, he'll give them space.

Hillary was a great find in the "eleventh hour" of my search for service. She dropped in and took really good care of my dog while I was far away for the day. I felt confident from our first texts and Hillary's generous effort to come to my home for a meet n greet. Hillary followed through with great communication, lots of photos and follow up texts. I would call her again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her services ! Thank you so much!

About: We are a family in Arlington without any pets of our own, but lots of love and willingness to care for your pet in our home so you can enjoy your time away. Our neighborhood is safe for walks days and nights, and we have a fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run. We follow your routine, so please let us know of any preferences or restrictions, both dietary and behavioral. We offer lots of outside time, hugs and kisses! Your pet can sleep wherever they prefer, on the couch, in our bed, or in their crate (per your request only). We don't walk pets off lease unless we are at a dog park, and we stay with them in the yard, in particular at night, so they are never left unattended. We have two boys, age 13 years old, who are very active and love to run and play with dogs and are gentle with them. The adults in the family work mostly from home, so someone will be with your pet at all times. We prefer to do a meet and greet so we can see how your dog will fit into our home as well as get to know its habits and preferences. We make sure we have the time right after drop off to go for a walk with your dog so they get faster acclimated attention during the day. We are loving with the dogs we are sitting and make sure they get lots of outside and play time as needed during the day. We also don't give food from the table and are careful with treats, using only ones we have already checked with you. Since we don’t have any dogs or pets of our own, we have the time and attention to focus on your pet.

If you book with me, seeing your pet will be a highlight of my day. You can count on me when it comes to communication with you and love for your baby. I want to schedule walks adhoc during the day or after work! When entering a clients home I will treat the area with care, make sure to lock up, check for water for the animal. I will do my best to find an appropriate outdoor/garage trash for the waste as well.

About: ‼️if this is your first time booking on rover, message me to get $20 off! 🐾 About Me Hi! My name is Jacqueline. I’ve spent several years working with dogs in different environments including dog walking, daycare-style settings, and in-home boarding. Through this experience I’ve worked with many different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I went to a vocational High School to study animal science and have occupational experience as well. I bring a higher level of knowledge and training than typical pet sitters. My approach to pet care focuses on creating a calm, structured, and safe environment where dogs can relax and feel comfortable while their owners are away. Every dog is treated with patience, supervision, and individual attention. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. 📝 What to Bring for Your Dog for Boarding To help your dog feel comfortable during their stay, please bring: • your dog’s regular food • food and water bowl • leash or harness • any medications they require • treats that your dog enjoys Familiar items can help dogs adjust more easily to a new environment. ❗️NOTE: -please do not bring toys for your dog as many dogs tend to exhibit resource guarding when placed in unfamiliar areas and get defensive over their special toy. 💬 Communication Clear communication helps ensure the best possible stay for your pet. I’m always happy to answer questions before or during a booking, and I appreciate owners sharing details about their dog’s routine, preferences, and personality. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every dog in my care. I structure my daily routine around feeding schedules, potty breaks, enrichment time, and consistent exercise to make sure every animal in my care feels secure and loved. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or nighttime wind-downs, I prioritize routine, safety, and positive reinforcement. Caring for animals isn’t something I “fit in” — it’s already built into how I live, so your pet will receive attentive, reliable care just like my own. Outside of my class schedule, pet care is a major part of my daily routine. I spend a lot of time with my own dog, including regular walks, park visits, and enrichment activities throughout the week. I’m very attentive to pets’ needs and make sure they get plenty of exercise, stimulation, and affection each day.

Marina was the best sitter for our sassy little cat Cookie! Cookie seemed to be having a better play time with Marina than us! Marina also left detailed notes, sent us lots of photos of Cookie, and made sure all the automated systems (litter, water, food) were running properly. Cookie doesn’t usually hop on other people’s laps but Marina managed to get Cookie on her lap the second visit - we were so surprised. Marina is indeed a car whisperer! Definitely recommend Marina as a cat sitter.

As of September 2026, there are 5,043 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Belmont. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Belmont. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
