About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, especially dogs. I grew up with a family dog for 15 years and was always surrounded by dogs through friends and extended family, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. I have hands on experience with daily care, potty training, and understanding dog behavior, and I’m confident handling everything from high energy pups to more relaxed, older dogs. While my background is primarily with dogs, I bring that same attentiveness, patience, and reliability to caring for cats, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their own space. Pet care fits well into my daily routine. I work a standard eight hour day, so pets would have some alone time during work hours. Before and after work, I make sure they get plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care. I also have roommates who can help with a midday check in or let pets out if needed, which helps break up the day. I’m very mindful of keeping pets comfortable, sticking to their routines, and making sure they feel cared for even on a work schedule. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities, and I adjust my approach based on the environment. In my own home, I make sure the space is clean, pet safe, and free of anything they could get into. I keep a consistent routine for feeding, walks, and playtime so pets feel settled and comfortable. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, routines, and any specific preferences. I make sure pets stay in secure areas, keep doors and gates closed, and maintain a calm, familiar environment. I also pay close attention to behavior and energy levels to make sure each pet feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for.
“Alyssa has caries out drop in visits with our rabbit and age has done a great job. Checking in daily on him making sure he got food, fresh water, hay and vegstables. Alyssa has been very service minded, responsible, and communicative sending us daily status and pictures. Highly recommending her and I will definitly place a rebooking the next time we need a rabbit sitter.”

“Laura was thorough and so attentive when watching our girls. Having such a thorough sitter was a weight off our shoulders when we we traveling. Looking forward to our next sessions!”
“Hillary was a great find in the "eleventh hour" of my search for service. She dropped in and took really good care of my dog while I was far away for the day. I felt confident from our first texts and Hillary's generous effort to come to my home for a meet n greet. Hillary followed through with great communication, lots of photos and follow up texts. I would call her again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her services ! Thank you so much!”

About: Use my Promo code IZZYG96950 to get $40 off your first booking! I’ve always loved dogs 😁. I like to think I’m very reliable and genuinely care. I’m careful, gentle, and always caring. I will always be as kind and gentle as possible with your dog while also keeping them safe😁 (I don’t believe in harsh discipline.) I have experience with anxious dogs and I like to think I’m good at helping dogs with it. I myself have some anxiety 😂, so I get it. I’m open and flexible to accommodate whatever you or your dog needs. I’m also well versed in dog speak, so I’m able to know what your dog is trying to tell me from its body language 😋. I also always keep my schedule up to date so you know when I’m available 😄. I’m also getting my qualification for dog training! So soon I’ll be able to train your dog if you’re looking to do that 😉. I’m very flexible with time. I’m free all day every day with a few in person/zoom appointments some days 😁. For the rare times I’m not home, my nanny is! (And she of course loves dogs. She has 2 of her own 😁.) She works 7am-4 or 5pm. So if I’m out in those hours there will be times where the dog will be alone for a few hours but I try to keep it no more than that 😊. You’ll let me know what your dog needs. My house: I have a big house/nice big unfenced yard I can walk the dog around on leash, and a small portion of the yard fenced to let them out. I’ve decided for (kind of arbitrary unrealistic anxious 😆) safety reasons, even though it connects from a doggy door and is completely closed off, I’m always gonna be out there with the dog just to make sure everything’s cool. The fence (real/wooden not electric) is totally stable, and I just put rocks in places that I wanted extra coverage 😊, so your dog is absolutely not getting out 😂. All of my neighbors have dogs. They’re all fenced/electric fenced in and very well behaved. Except there’s one down the hill that barks sometimes but usually it’s quiet enough you can’t hear it. She a sweetheart her name is Sparky 😁. If your dog has trouble with other dogs I’ll make extra sure to stay away from that house. When I walk the dogs up my hill it’s the other direction anyways. There are also no cats around. There are a ton of bunnies and squirrels and stuff but I’m strong enough with dogs to hold them back I’ve never had a problem. I have experience with/know how to handle strong dogs💪. Walking: There are a ton of woods/paths right next to my house, you can look around on the map for yourself. Some places I love to walk are Audubon, Hay road, and Snake hill (it’s just a name don’t worry 😅.) Supplies: While I’m walking a dog I carry poop baggies, water and a water bowl, and a ball/toys (even though I never let the dog off the leash when we’re out on a walk.) When I board or doggy day care I use the same things. I have other dog supplies too like bathing stuff, a leash, food/food bowls etc in case you forget your stuff 😁.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Belmont
Bonnie did an excellent job of taking care of our two cats while we were away for two weeks. We greatly appreciated how communicative she was about each visit, and everything she did for the cats. I also appreciated how she was able to accommodate us on very short notice, which removed a lot of the stress of getting a sitter in time (our travel was at the last minute, so we were kind of scrambling).

As always, we were more than satisfied with Maegan's care of our two moody cats. Our cats are slow to warm to strangers but they always are at ease and acting like themselves with Maegan's attentive approach. Reading her visit updates are a cherished part of our vacation time!

Sandra was great and took good care of our kitties while we were away for 3 weeks. We were sent daily pictures of them and came back to 2 healthy and settled cats. She was very good about visiting the same time each day and took into account the time difference so that I could go to bed knowing that my babies had been taken care of. Thanks Sandra!

Will provided exceptional care for Meow-Wei and Mi-Wei. I am so grateful for his attentive approach and his ability to adapt to on-the-fly requests without any hassle. He really went above and beyond by taking care of the plants, too. You are the best, Will!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
