“longfei and Luning are so helpful taking care my cat. Everything is done professionally and friendly. Most importantly, she seems to be happy. Will definitely recommend!”

“Alyson is incredible. Not only was she our first cat sitter, she took care of our cat while our cat was sick (had to give her pills) and went above and beyond. Foxy loved her and we got tons of pics of her in heaven getting pets and rolling around. Honestly, Foxy seemed a little disappointed when the door opened and it was us and not Alyson. 11/10, Alyson is amazing.”

“Thank you so much! Sunshine was so much less frazzled than he has been when I returned home; he was clearly pleased with the upgraded accommodations. Thank you!!”

“Stephanie took great care of our cat for 2 weeks during our trip. She was very attentive, carrying and pampered our cat. I am sure our cat is now best friends with Stephanie and will demand Stephanie back. Stephanie was very proactive and responsive in her communications, she kept the cat happy and helped with watering the plants and keeping his litter clean. A 5 star review for a 5 star cat caretaker!”

“After having a ton of sitters, Olivia is by far the best! She gives such minute detail in her report, and not only fulfillls duties of feline daily living like giving food, water, and cleaning his litter, to the full extent that is requested, she also notices behavioral changes in our pets. I cant reccomend her any more than I do now! She is awesome. I had quite a complex situation to get into my building, and I had the further pressure of having to leave almost immediately, but Olivia was able to help through all that.”

“LIsa was very amiable and did everything that was requested of her; she also sent over pics of my cat to show that he was doing okay. Would absolutely recommend Lisa for any other pet-sitting jobs.”

“Jessica was great! Booked a drop-in with short notice. She was responsive, flexible, and showed a care and understanding for my pooch's well-being as well as any concerns I had”

“Angela took great care of our dog during a weekend away. She is an excellent communicator and sent lots of pictures too keep us posted of drop ins and walks. Would definitely ask her to help us out next time we need to go out of town.”

“Alana was awesome! She was communicative and my cat really liked her. She made holiday travel less stressful because I knew Owen was being taken good care of. Would highly recommend!”

“Took really good care of my fur babies and was conscientious and tidy in my apartment. Loved the updates and photos! I will definitely re-book and it made me very comfortable in a stressful work event that I knew my cats were taken care of, especially my newly diabetic cat!”

“Great experience with Michelle. She is very communicative, positive and adaptable. Really felt like our cat was in safe ands while we were away. Much appreciated!”

“Kristina was wonderful! I needed a sitter fast, and in quick order, she met me at an initial consultation and provided terrific care for my Luma. I definitely recommend!!”

“Lauren is the best. My cat Luna hates being alone but Lauren was there for her on-time every day while I was in Italy. She kept in close contact with photos and chats and I never once worried about Luna. Will hire her again next time I'm away. Thanks Lauren!”

About: I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and devoted cat mom. Caring for my own pet has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and attention to detail. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines, and I strive to provide reliable, compassionate care. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind while you’re away. • Flexible availability on weekdays and weekends. • Morning, afternoon, and evening visits available. • Happy to accommodate your pet’s regular routine whenever possible. • Prompt communication throughout your booking. • Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. • I carefully follow feeding, medication, and care instructions. • Attentive to changes in behavior, routine, and wellbeing. • Regular updates and photos provided with every visit.
About: (she/her) I’m a relaxed and detail-oriented person who is excited to meet you and your pet! I love animals and will make sure yours gets the best care when you can’t be there. I have grown up around dogs most of my life, including two deaf and partially blind Aussies. Each pet has their own personality, habits (good and bad), and routines. I look forward to getting to know your pet and what you want to see for them each day to stay active, engaged, and healthy. I regularly dogsit for close friends for a week or more at a time and I’m well-attuned to local hazards to watch out for, such as the reactive dog in the neighborhood, salt on the sidewalks, and trash in the street. I do work a full-time job. While my schedule is hybrid and somewhat flexible to add in local walks or drop-in visits, my Rover profile is primarily set up for occasional weekend stays. I’m happy to coordinate with you on a case-by-case basis to figure out what works best for daily visits or a longer house stay. I have great attention to detail and am willing to learn each pet’s unique needs and routines. I have lived with and around many pets over the years and I understand the level of attention it takes to keep everyone safe, out of trouble, and happy.

About: I’ve had cats since I was 8 years old. With the 16 years of experience with cats, I believe every fur baby needs a home away from home. Like with every pet parent, I strive for the best with my cat. If you choose me to watch your fur baby, I will provide the best and safest environment for them. Do they need a room to themselves? You got it. Has explosive diarrhea? I have cleaning supplies. Medical issues? Another way to keep me on my toes. I hope you consider me as a prospective aunt to your kitter cat or doggo and can’t wait to fill up my camera role with adorable pictures. I look forward to hearing from you 💕 I am a grad student at Brandeis University. My classes are usually over by 2 pm, so after then I’m usually at my apartment caring for my cat and completing schoolwork. So needless to say, I have a lot of flexibility within my schedule for your pets individual needs. If I am doing home visits, I would like to visit the clients home a day or two prior to the arranged visit(s) to understand the animals needs and to see if we would be a good fit. I believe it is important to establish an understanding with the animal in question before I frequent the premises so there isn’t any unnecessary stress for your pet. In regards to boarding, I have a medium sized apartment that would be good for any cat or small-medium dog. There are multiple grassy areas for bathroom breaks and walks around the premises. You will have to provide me with your animals usual schedule (times for bathroom breaks, when and how much time are committed to walks, feeding times, etc.) so I can build my set around them and their needs

Ari is fantastic and took such good care of our kitties while we were away! Especially our senior kitty that needed a lot of daily pills. I really appreciated Ari’s thorough communication and picture updates. It was a great relief knowing our babies were well cared for!

Olivia was such a great caretaker for my cat Helena! Each time she visited, she made sure to send me a detailed message of her time there along with lots of pictures and videos. It’s hard to be away from your fur baby, but Olivia helped to make it more bearable. I will definitely book with her again for future trips and events!

Avery was awesome! She watched my kitties for multiple days while I was traveling and I came home to very happy and content cats. She brushed and played with them, and gave their oral medications every morning. She always sent a detailed description of each visit with lots of photos. I will be rebooking Avery in the future!

Caroline has taken fantastic care of our two cats while we traveled on multiple occasions. She communicates regularly during our time away and always sends the best updates/pics of them playing. Caroline is kind, courteous, responsive and punctual — and our fluff balls love seeing her. 10/10 would recommend Caroline for your pet sitting needs.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Waltham Highlands. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
