Services
Ari can care for
Availability
Over the summer, I work at my internships in animal care for much of the work day, but that leaves afternoons, evenings, and early mornings for me to check in on your pets and give any care they need (breakfast/dinner, walks, baths, etc.). Over the school year, I will have more hours available to fit in more time with your pets (i.e. walking and bathing/grooming, more playtime, etc.).

Safety, trust & environment
As a lover of all creatures, I take the safety of both pets and wildlife seriously. As such, I will always supervise pets that are outside in yards and keep them on leashes outside fenced-off areas so they are not a danger to others or themselves. If transporting pets in my car, I will keep them safe and secure in a carrier/crate. As a college student who has shared living spaces with new people before, I understand the importance of respecting others' belongings and boundaries. During drop-in visits, I will be sure to respect your home and any rules you may have for your comfort (i.e. no shoes in the house, specific dishes/silverware for pets only, general cleanliness, etc.).
Information Ari A. would like to know about your pet
Let me know of any special needs or quirks of your pets, especially if it has to do with how they eat (I have hand-fed a little Shih Tzu wet food with a fork before, and I can do it again!). The more detail, the better! Knowing their energy level beforehand will also help me plan out what we'll do on a walk or at your home.
A typical day
I'm happy to match the pace of any pets I meet. I can run or bike with high-energy dogs along greenway trails, or stop and smell the roses (or tree trunks and pee stains, more likely) with dogs that prefer to explore in parks and along sidewalks. I have a passion for animal enrichment and will always look for more games to play and toys to design with pets at home to keep restless minds engaged.

Pet care experience
Along with growing up with two dogs and helping to raise a puppy as a teenager, family friends and neighbors have relied on me to take care of their dogs and cats since I was ten. I've worked with all types of dogs, from Shih Tzus to Pit Bull mixes. I'm the one in my family who takes the dogs out on long hikes (or for short walks around the block once they get older), brushes their teeth and fur, gives them baths, and trims their nails. I'm a regular volunteer at cat shelters in cat care, and as a student on the pre-veterinary track, I have shadowed and volunteered at vet clinics to better understand the care that goes into your pets' health. Besides dogs and cats, I also have experience with a myriad of animals, such as hamsters, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, mice, fish, hermit crabs, geckos, snakes, tortoises, and turtles. I have experience in preparing special diets for pets and other animals with specific health needs, and in senior dog care.

Reviews
Ari is a very responsible dog owner. He takes great care of his dog, Nala. He takes her on hikes and to the beach, as well as just walking her every day. She's very spoiled :) He's also great with cats, my cat loves him :)
Ari has experience with all types of animals, and does his best to make sure they are healthy, happy, and comfortable. He regularly volunteers at animal shelters and a wildlife center, in addition to caring for his own pet. He is trustworthy and reliable, and has always treated my dog like his own.
I highly recommend Ari as a pet caregiver. Ari helped care for my dog, Jupee, during his senior years when he required extra attention and compassion due to health issues. Ari consistently demonstrated exceptional kindness, patience, and genuine love for animals. I was able to leave Jupee in Ari's care for several days at a time with complete peace of mind, knowing he would be safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Ari is not only compassionate but also highly responsible, trustworthy, and attentive to the individual needs of each pet. I have also seen Ari care for other animals and have always been impressed by the level of dedication and affection shown to them. Ari has a natural ability to connect with animals and provide them with excellent care. I would not hesitate to hire Ari again to care for my dogs and wholeheartedly recommend Ari to anyone looking for a dependable, caring, and loving pet caregiver.
Ari has grown up around dogs and has always had a natural affinity for animals. He genuinely enjoys spending time with animals and is attentive, compassionate towards making sure they are doing well and happy. In his free time, he volunteers at local animal shelters and wildlife preservation organization, where he helps care for verity of animals. Ari approaches every animal with patience, kindness and love makes him a trusted and dependable caregiver.
