“Kathleen was great! Her attention to detail and regular feedback put us at ease, especially since it was our first time using Rover. 10/10 would recommend Kathleen for your furry fam :)”

“Alexander was a very kind and responsible care provider to our two darlings and his extra care and communication was very helpful as we changed a couple of routines for our cats just when he came to care for them. Our shy kitty even interacted with him! I highly recommend Alex if you need a caring and attentive cat-sitter.”

“Peaches, my little old Yorkie, took to Jess immediately and they enjoyed a nice walk in the neighborhood. I appreciated her promptness in arriving on time, and her photo that she took of Peaches. Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with dogs and finally got my first puppy 8 years ago. I love dogs and we have an 8 year old labrador ourselves. I know how hard it can be to find good care for a dog when traveling, this is why I want to help out and offer boarding to others. I am currently working from home Mondays and Fridays, so I can offer several walks throughout the day. Over the weekend I can bring your puppy to the beach or on small hikes. I have a friendly dog myself who can keep yours company. My family lives in a townhouse, the dogs are only accessing the 1st floor. Dogs are not allowed on furnitures or bed.
“Traci was terrific. Loves and understands dogs. She is kind and intuitive and I have the feeling if there were an emergency, she'd know just what to do. Trust her 100%.”

“This is the 3rd time Carol has taken care of my cat Theo for twice daily drop ins. I trust her completely. She takes wonderful care of Theo-feeding, playing & taking care of his litter box. I can’t recommend her more highly!”

“Alyssa is a dream catsitter and I will definitely book her again! She made sure that the cats were well-fed and clean, and she always played with them and gave them extra pets. Earl, Yo-Yo, and I all recommend her!”

“Olivia took great care of our cat, Onyx. She was great with communication, followed all his care instructions and played with him—I could tell Onyx had a fun weekend! We will definitely be asking Olivia to watch Onyx again!”

About: I'm available for drop-in visits and dog walking. I love both cats and dogs. While majority of my more recent pet care experience was with cats, I've had dogs as pets too, and have pet sat for both cats and dogs. I also cared for my own two cats for 15 years; prior to that I fostered a senior cat for a year. These experiences helped me to understand feline body language, boundaries, and how to maintain a consistent routine. I'll ensure your pets are safely cared for, fed, and given plenty of attention so they feel safe and comfortable when you're away. Please let me know a little bit about your pet's personality and daily routine when you reach out. Can't wait to meet your dog or cat! I have availability most weekdays starting at 2:00 pm. I may have more availability in the near future and will update my calendar with any updates. I only provide care inside the client's home. I ensure safety by carefully following all entry instructions, locking doors, keeping routines consistent, and respecting your pet's boundaries to maintain a stress-free environment.
“Kay did a nice job with drop in visits for Ted. She sent plenty of photos with her very detailed updates, and was always very responsive to messages. Will definitely use her services again.”

“Alayna took great care of our cat, spending extra time with her and making sure she understood how her medication worked. She was flexible and understanding when last minute illness changed our plans.”

About: Hello! I love taking Newton, Waltham and Watertown pups for walks during the day. Happy to go a little further if the timing is right. You can count on me when it comes to communication with you and love for your baby. I bring toys and treats, and can work with shy dogs! I work full time from home in HR as a comp analyst. My schedule is very flexible. I want to schedule walks adhoc during the day or after work! When entering a clients home I will treat the area with care, make sure to lock up, check for water for the animal. I will do my best to find an appropriate outdoor/garage trash for the waste as well.
The median cost per visit for cat sitting in Nonantum is $25
Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Nonantum
Alyssa did a great job feeding my 2 cats while I was away for a week! She arrived at a similar time every day and fed them and cleaned their litter boxes. At once point their automatic feeder and water fountain needed to be refilled, and she did both of these as well. My 2 cats have different diets, and I gave her instructions on how to feed them differently, and she did a great job with that as well! She was very responsive and sent photos and updates every day. Overall I would definitely recommend Alyssa if you need drop in visits while away, and I will definitely use her again if needed. I felt a peace of mind knowing that she was taking care of my kitties.

Susie took great care of our 2 energetic 18-month-old cats while we were out of the country for a week. She came reliably twice a day to feed them, play with them, and keep their litter box clean, and she kept us posted with adorable photos. This was our first time leaving these cats with a stranger, and Susie did a lovely job of keeping them happy and allaying our concerns.

Stephanie is 100% no doubt the best sitter ever for our kitties. Even our shy little one was won over instantly! Stephanie was enthusiastic, completely professional, and more prepared than any other sitter we've had, and we've had some good ones. She also went the extra mile, big time, and gave superior care to our two sweet little boys. Her communication was phenomenal, with tons of photos, videos, and detailed updates. From the first update she sent, we knew we could relax, and that our kitties would be well fed and loved while we were gone. SHE! IS!! THE!!! BEST!!!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Nonantum. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
