Information J b. would like to know about your pet

Every special needs and senior cats have their own routine. The older cats get, the pickier they become, and sometimes you may not even know what to expect. I have had a lot of experience with seniors that bite or scratch when administering oral medication. Some even when feeding. I totally understand and I can handle this, I just need to know if that is a possibilty so I am prepared. I'd like to know if your kitty has any bathroom issues or throws up sometimes. I also love a good note left for me with all the numbers in case of any emergencies. I'll never take your cat to your vet without your permission, but I do like to have a plan set in case you cannot be reached. I'm CPR trained, can administer any medication, and comfortable cleaning messes. Most of all I just want your cat to be comfortable and happy.

A typical day

On my first visit, I am highly aware of how a cat reacts to me. I'm a quiet, respectful stranger until I am met by your cat. Light on my feet and with a quiet hum or hushed speaking, I announce my presence. I'm not one to go looking all over for your kitty in the closet and pull him out to cuddle. Once we meet and pets and headbumps are proper protocol, I love to offer treats or some gentle playtime. If cats are super comfortable with me, I love to have a buddy to sit with and read a book, brush if appropriate, and have as much fun as they want without any risk of overstimulation. Cats have been generally more comfortable meeting me while I'm laying on the ground so they see me at their height and do not feel intimidated by height. I will often talk to myself/them in a soft voice or sing to fill a quieter house versus a tv/loud music over a lengthy stay.

My kitties LOVE J and I thoroughly trust her with them. I needed last minute care and medication administration and she took excellent care of both my adult cat and kitten. She stays in touch, sends great updates and I hope to have her hang with my cats again!

Thank you for the love and care you showered on my fur babies! I could see from all the great pictures how calm and happy they were.

J was a fantastic stay-in catsitter for my foster cat, Lyric. She stayed for six days and nights, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in great hands. Lyric can be shy, but J did an amazing job bringing him out of his shell. She got him using cat beds and toys he’d never shown interest in before. J clearly has a wonderful instinct with cats and a very calm, positive presence. J also took excellent care of the house, kept the litter very clean, and was extremely communicative throughout the stay. J sent lots of photos and videos, and as a former professional photographer the pictures were truly beautiful. As a thoughtful surprise, J even left a small painting of Lyric on a wooden block, which meant a lot. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend J to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and truly wonderful cat sitter.

J is the BEST cat sitter. I can’t say enough good things. I was really nervous to leave my cat for a week because he’s been having some health problems, but when J came for a visit, he fell in love with her instantly. She took care of all of his medical needs and give him so much love. She stayed at our house and took great care of it while we were away. She’s also a professional photographer and made a beautiful album of pictures of my cat that I’ll cherish forever. J will be my go to cat sitter forever :)
