I've cared for cats of all ages w/ & w/out special needs for over 25 years. From catsitting and caring for my own adopted cats to catching strays in Alabama and fostering homeless kitties, I have been so grateful to experience the love from so many beautiful feline souls around the country. I have experience in kitten training, cage training/socializing, crating, bladder expression, oral medication including medication swallowing and inhaler use, anxiety relief techniques, trapping, fostering, behavioral health, senior cat care, and emergency care such as CPR.

My cats are indoor only and I enforce that rule in other homes. I stay with cats to make sure they eat safely and keep medicine down. Fresh water and litter is also a must!

We couldn't be more pleased having J stay overnight in our home with our 14 year old kitty, Ricky. She sent wonderful photos of him and let us know how he did while she was with him. J is very sensitive, capable, and calm and brings a reassuring and creative energy with her that made me feel very relaxed being away from our beloved Ricky! We will absolutely have her come back again.
Our cat was so happy and well cared for while we were away. She sent amazing pictures throughout her visits, which gave us total peace of mind 😻
J is the best! Always so thoughtful with our cats. She gives thorough updates and is very reliable and caring.
J was amazing with our boy Chase. We chose her for her obvious experience with cats and administering meds. She updated us every day with pics and notes and was able to attend to him when his eye condition acted up. We felt so comfortable leaving him in her excellent care. He took to her right away❤️ We will absolutely be contacting her again in the future!!
J was very responsive and respectful! She made sure that she understood exactly what our cats’ needs were (older cats with some medical issues that require medication administration) and clearly cares deeply about animals. We feel grateful we found her!

Schedule
I am a veteran wedding photographer, working only with paint and brushes now. I have a very flexible schedule around my own two cats at home who are also cared for by my husband during my overnight care visits.
- CatsJ can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
- Every special needs and senior cats have their own routine. The older cats get, the pickier they become, and sometimes you may not even know what to expect. I have had a lot of experience with seniors that bite or scratch when administering oral medication. Some even when feeding. I totally understand and I can handle this, I just need to know if that is a possibilty so I am prepared. I'd like to know if your kitty has any bathroom issues or throws up sometimes. I also love a good note left for me with all the numbers in case of any emergencies. I'll never take your cat to your vet without your permission, but I do like to have a plan set in case you cannot be reached. I'm CPR trained, can administer any medication, and comfortable cleaning messes. Most of all I just want your cat to be comfortable and happy.
