“Kristina was wonderful! I needed a sitter fast, and in quick order, she met me at an initial consultation and provided terrific care for my Luma. I definitely recommend!!”

About: I’ve had cats since I was 8 years old. With the 16 years of experience with cats, I believe every fur baby needs a home away from home. Like with every pet parent, I strive for the best with my cat. If you choose me to watch your fur baby, I will provide the best and safest environment for them. Do they need a room to themselves? You got it. Has explosive diarrhea? I have cleaning supplies. Medical issues? Another way to keep me on my toes. I hope you consider me as a prospective aunt to your kitter cat or doggo and can’t wait to fill up my camera role with adorable pictures. I look forward to hearing from you 💕 I am a grad student at Brandeis University. My classes are usually over by 2 pm, so after then I’m usually at my apartment caring for my cat and completing schoolwork. So needless to say, I have a lot of flexibility within my schedule for your pets individual needs. If I am doing home visits, I would like to visit the clients home a day or two prior to the arranged visit(s) to understand the animals needs and to see if we would be a good fit. I believe it is important to establish an understanding with the animal in question before I frequent the premises so there isn’t any unnecessary stress for your pet. In regards to boarding, I have a medium sized apartment that would be good for any cat or small-medium dog. There are multiple grassy areas for bathroom breaks and walks around the premises. You will have to provide me with your animals usual schedule (times for bathroom breaks, when and how much time are committed to walks, feeding times, etc.) so I can build my set around them and their needs

“Carol was so attentive to my kitties while I was out of town! She left thorough updates after of her visits. I can tell that the cats got lots of pets because they were so soft when I came back home! Thank you Carol! ??⬛”

“Peaches, my little old Yorkie, took to Jess immediately and they enjoyed a nice walk in the neighborhood. I appreciated her promptness in arriving on time, and her photo that she took of Peaches. Highly recommend!”

“Took really good care of my fur babies and was conscientious and tidy in my apartment. Loved the updates and photos! I will definitely re-book and it made me very comfortable in a stressful work event that I knew my cats were taken care of, especially my newly diabetic cat!”

“Thank you so much! Sunshine was so much less frazzled than he has been when I returned home; he was clearly pleased with the upgraded accommodations. Thank you!!”

“We can’t say it enough- Kristina has been helping us for almost a year at this point and she’s amazing with our large 80+ pound dog Sully, consistent, great communication. She’s a gem and we are lucky to have her help us on a weekly basis.”

About: I am Fear Free Certified which is a training for preventing and alleviating fear, anxiety, and stress during pet caretaking. I’ve been around dogs since I was little and grew up training and taking care of my pet labradoodle. I’ve volunteered at a cat shelter for 2.5 years and am a facility manager for the shelter so I have experience with animals of all types of personalities. I also have two cats that I adopted from the shelter I volunteer at. I am a biomedical engineer so I work from 9-5 Monday- Friday. I’m happy to stop by to give your pets some love before and/or after work Monday, Tuesday, or Friday. I typically do pottery on Wednesdays but can be flexible if needed on that day! Thursday nights I volunteer at the cat shelter until around 7:30PM so late night visits might be possible. I am available most weekends as long as I have enough of a heads up! I know some nice walking trails around Waltham and would be happy to take your dog on walks around there or throughout your neighborhood. I also am comfortable with just giving pets attention and care such as food, brushing, play, and scooping cat litter within your home depending on your needs and wants.
“Stephanie is caring and attentive as ever and is now best friends with our demanding kitty. He was pampered with brushing and play time. She is a great sitter and our kitty is lucky to have to Stephanie take care of him.”

“Alyson is incredible. Great communication. Fantastic pics of your fur babies while you are gone. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and takes the time to care for them. We came home to a happy cat! We highly recommend Alyson!”

About: I've grown up with cats all my life. I've fostered kittens & adult cats which have given me skills such as administering medications, conducting vet mandated walks & massages, and handling nervous or distressed animals. I'm in school, but never have more than 2 hours of class on any given day. I take care of my animal on a schedule, and would follow the same for your animal! If your cat is social, I have a lovebug orange tabby who would be more than happy to be a playmate, but if your cat has issues with being around other animals, I also have 2 private spaces where they can be completely away from any sights, sounds, or smells that relate to other animals!
“longfei and Luning are so helpful taking care my cat. Everything is done professionally and friendly. Most importantly, she seems to be happy. Will definitely recommend!”

“Olivia left thoughtful and detailed messages during her visits with my cat, which helped put me at ease when I was away from her for the first time. I had no idea my cat would hiss, and Olivia managed to handle it well. She even got toys out for JoJo when I forgot to put them out.”

“Olya was prompt and communicative from my first outreach just a few days ago. I had a last minute need for a sitter and from the great reviews on Rover I was excited to have found Olya. After a brief meeting earlier in the week, I was able to share all areas that needed attention for Ranger and Olya addressed every point with detail. Such a great fit for our boy and we look forward to working together again soon! ♥️”

“Alana was awesome! She was communicative and my cat really liked her. She made holiday travel less stressful because I knew Owen was being taken good care of. Would highly recommend!”

“Alison treated our cat very well while we were away. She was able to give him his medicine with no issues and sent us lots of photos of them playing. Our cat can be a bit feisty, so it was great to see her manage him so well.”

About: I've had animals in my life all my life! I've cared for fish, bunnies, hamsters, gerbils, cats and dogs. I have a very open schedule, especially in the summer and will take careful care of your pets! Please note that during the summer I may need to bring a 10 year old with me for visits. I am local and currently have a very open schedule. During the school year I work until 3pm but am usually free in the evenings for walks and check ins. I make sure to follow your instructions to the letter-you know your pet best of course! They will get all the attention and love they deserve. And I will send photos!

Sue was really excellent with my 2 kitty’s! I took a week vacation out of the country and Sue did such a great job watching my cats and it really set my mind at ease. They both have different needs and Sue took the time to make sure they each had what they needed! She even won over my shy cat which is not an easy task! Highly recommend!

Bryana is the best! I loved getting the Rover Cards and photos while I was away and seeing how happy Kira was with her new pal! It was also a relief knowing that Bryana was giving Kira her medicine (followed by a treat!) each day! Highly recommend Bryana and look forward to booking her again for my next trip!

Lauren filled in for me pretty last minute for a week of pet sitting my cat, and I am forever grateful she did! She did an excellent job keeping me informed and enticing my cat downstairs with treats. Thank you so much, Lauren, and I hope we can work together again!!

Taylor did a fantastic job doing drop in visits for our three cats over a holiday weekend. She handled food, litter, and medicine as we requested and gave us super thorough updates and cute photos! Made our travel so much easier to know our cats were in good hands :)

I’ve booked with Avery multiple times and she has always been great to work with! I had some last minute changes to my work travel, and she was able to extend the booking. She always sits with my kitties for a bit and gives them some company while I’m away, which I love! Highly recommend

J was amazing with my cat, Alfie! This was my first time leaving him for longer than an overnight, and I was so nervous about it. But she was very communicative and sent lots of photos while I was away. She also accommodated a last minute change to his care - ear drops - and was nice enough to bring my mail in and make sure things were tidy before I came home. Alfie has historically always been weary of guests in the house but he really took a shine to her and let his social butterfly personality free! So she gets a glowing review from both me and Alfie ☺️

Our sitter responded right away and we had the meet and greet a couple weeks later. It all went very well - she had to call me because of a question with the house lock and I appreciated the call. Sandra was great, loves cats and even my shy cat came out and greeted her.

Isabella was thoughtful and her care for animals is evident. She sent along plenty of pictures and detailed updates with each check-in, which helped put me at ease when I was away. She is reliable and communicates well. Anyone would be lucky to have Isabella watch their pet!

Shannon did a really wonderful job caring for her cat while we were on vacation. She was responsive, thoughtful, easy to work with, conscientious about taking care of the cat and other logistics, and also was kind enough to take out our recycling bin one day so we didn’t miss our biweekly pickup. She is one of our go to cat sitters and we would highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
