“Yick -hong is fantastic. My dog has some stranger danger, so I’m always nervous with new boarders, but he seemed to feel right at home. Lots of pics and updates, highly recommend.”

“Ann took wonderful care of Daisy for over a week. From the start, she was warm, kind, and very easy to communicate with. Ann and Jim created a great environment for Daisy, and we always felt she was in good hands. Ann made sure Daisy got plenty of time outside, including long walks and lots of opportunities to explore. It was clear that she genuinely cared about making sure Daisy was happy and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend Ann to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable sitter.”

“Yulia and her family took very good care of Skye. We are sure that Skye received lots of love and attention. Yulia updated us with some lovely pictures. Thank you so much for taking good care of Skye. See you soon, again!”

“Robert and his family were amazing with our Kailee. We loved the regular communication and photos. We will definitely ask Robert to watch Kailee again in the future.”

“Cindy was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Bear! She was able to accommodate a last-minute request, which we really appreciated. Throughout his stay, she sent daily updates with photos and videos so we always knew how he was doing, and she responded quickly to all of my messages. It was clear that she genuinely cared about him and spent lots of time giving him attention and snuggles. Bear was very well cared for, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was with her. We will definitely be reaching out to Cindy again in the future and would highly recommend both her and her brother to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

About: I have a dog of my own, so I know the deal. Walking my dog and hanging out with her is the best part of my day, and I would love for your dog to join. Weekends are my focus and I’m free for shenanigans and long walks! I have my own dog so 3-4walks on the weekend is our normal. I would consider weekdays, but we would have to talk because I work full time on site M-F, so during the week they would have a 20-30min morning walk and 1-2 afternoon walks. I have a well mannered dog friendly dog at home and I would care for your pet like I would mine…which means a lot of attention. Dogs would have to be able to do 3 flights of stairs or be pick-up-able
“Michelle took exceptional care of my very nervous and anxious dog. I received daily pictures and updates while I was away letting me know how my pup was doing. Would absolutely book Michelle again!”

“Yi was fabulous! She took great care of our ragdoll kitten, Pudding. She is incredibly responsive and sends multiple pictures and videos every day. I would highly recommend her and look forward to booking again in the future!”

“John is the best sitter we could ask for! Our dog loves him and he spoils her with affection and lots of walks. We have now trusted him with a short trip and now a much longer trip. He provides great updates and makes us feel at ease leaving our baby. I would recommend him to any dog owner!”

“Yi was great - treated Maxi like a family member taking him around with them on outings and strolls! Got lots of updates and photos and I’ll definitely ask for Li to mind Maxi again!”

“Isabella is amazing at taking care of Marvin and Mellow. We shared our concerns when it came to us being nervous but she gave us loads of reassurance and kept us up to date. This was our second time with her, and she was great! No complaints.”

“Patrick is so helpful and accommodating! He accepted my urgent booking with just one day's notice and really helped to solve my issue. Pamela was well taken care of and happy when I returned. I couldn't be more grateful for Patrick's flexibility and excellent care. Highly recommended!”

“Arnav was fantastic - great communicator, flexible when our plans changed, and he clearly took great care of our pup. Most importantly, our pup came home happy and calm.”

“Ismael was fantastic! You could see at arrival that he likes dogs very much. During Mel and Luna’s stay at his place we got many pictures with very happy dogs. It made us very comfortable to see our dogs so well taken care. We will certainly come back and leave Mel and Luna with him whenever is needed.”

“Ponyo is a little anxious pup especially if meeting for the first time. Dohwee was patient with Ponyo and during the second visit, Ponyo had fun time with Dohwee. Very patient and caring! Will come back to him again”

“Victoria is AMAZING!☺️ by far the best Rover sitter we have used and we will definitely be booking her again and again! She watched our 2 dachshunds (one is 5 years old and the other is a 10 month old puppy) and she did such an amazing job with both of them. She is super bubbly, personal, and loving to the dogs she takes care of. She took our dogs to the dog park every day and sent us tons of picture updates. I felt very safe, comfortable and informed the entire time she watched them. We also had some last minute drop off and pick up time changes and Victoria was super accommodating and nice about it. 10/10 would recommend her. Thank you Victoria ???”

“Aurora took our dog for his first rover experience. She was very communicative and sent pictures of my happy pup. She eased our fears of leaving him with a new family. We'd love to utilize her again if the need arises!”

“Greta was very kind, patient, communicative and accommodating! Lots of updates and pics throughout my dogs stay. Plenty of walks and park time. He seemed genuinely happy to be there!”

Jingjing was a fantastic dog sitter! I used her for the first time and I will 100% be using her for my next trip. She is very experienced with dogs of all sizes and has a great large fenced in yard which my high energy little guy loved to run around in. Jingjing was very responsive and sent daily pics which helped put my mind at ease! I give her the highest marks for recommendation!

Andrew was the absolute best with our stubborn yet still timid bulldog Ellie! With the need to find a patient and experienced overnight dog sitter for a 3 night family trip, Andrew felt like an angel in disguise sent (via Rover) to help :) Communications were prompt, initial visit was full of helpful convo and ultimate drop off and pick up was a breeze. During vacation pics/videos thoughtfully sent by Andrew helped ease our worry (as this was our first time ever travelling without Ellie). We are so grateful to have found a caretaker match for Ellie and we look forward to working with Andrew again soon. Highly recommend ❤️

Andreas took great care of Iggy! He was very flexible with drop off and pick up times and sent regular pictures and communication. He made sure Iggy got lots of walks and playtime, and it was clear from the pictures that Iggy was comfortable while were gone. Thank you!

Our 7 year old dog Blaze did very well with his first stay away from home with Paul M. Blaze was calm during drop off and at pick up. He was calm meeting Paul M. Paul sent updates and pictures throughout the stay. All communication before and during the booking was very timely. Paul reported keeping feeding and walking schedules as requested. Blaze was on track with everything up on return home. Thank you so much Paul M.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
