“My dog was so excited to go back to Todd’s for an overnight stay. He had the best time whenever he goes there, gets plenty of walks, lots of attention, and comes home such a happy camper. Todd is a trusted sitter for us and I will continue to book with him whenever I need somewhere for my dog to stay!”

“Julie was absolutely wonderful! Our dog can be quite anxious, but we could tell by his demeanor when he came home that Julie made him feel very comfortable and cared for! We'd love to have Dodge stay with Julie again, and we are very grateful for the updates and great care Dodge received!”

“Guillermo is fantastic. He was attentive to our old pup and wonderfully responsive to us. He is kind and calm, and it was clear our dog felt so comfortable and content. Our dog had an upset stomach and Guillermo was gracious and amazing at taking the extra steps to give him canned food and medicine. He sent great updates and pictures, I wish I had found him sooner and look forward to having him care for our dog again.”

“Leaving our four month old puppy Juno for a few days was not easy for us but Elvia and Stefan were fantastic. We loved getting photos throughout the day and Juno had a blast playing with other dogs. They were very responsive to my messages and I loved that they treated our puppy like part of their family. Would definitely take him back next time we are away or just for daycare so that he can play with other dogs in a safe and loving environment!”

“Michelle was fantastic! We were lucky she was available to take care of our dog for an extended weekend. Tito came back home a happy pup! We would happily book again.”

“Chi took absolutely amazing care of my fur baby. She took him on walks, to the dog park and played with him in her home. Winston is still a puppy so he has a lot of energy. Chi kept him entertained by playing with him and throwing his favorite toy around so he could fetch it. If you need an awesome, attentive caregiver Chi is your person.”

“Miranda was great! She took great care of Leo and followed all my instructions for him. I think he was very happy to stay with Miranda! I would definitely recommend her for dog care!”

“I boarded my dog with Ismael for 6 days over the holiday. He took great care of him, sent daily pics, and was a good communicator about drop off/pick up. I highly recommend!”

“Ozzi had such a great time with Yang and her family. They welcomed him into their home and took great care of him. We received photos and videos every day to keep us updated, which was very appreciated. He will definitely go back on our next time away!”

“Had a great experience boarding my Golden Retriever with Christina! From the initial meet & greet I could tell Christina was competent, professional, and caring. Leading up to and throughout the boarding she was communicative and sent multiple pictures daily, so I know my dog had a great time. Drop-off and pick-ups were easy. Overall really pleased with the boarding service and will be boarding with Christina again soon!”

“Shuhua helped us out in a pinch last minute to board our dog same night, and we are so happy with the attentiveness shown - it doesn't get much better for our shy and sleepy greyhound girlie than an elevator to avoid the scary stairs, a soft couch, lovingly-shared boiled chicken and peeled apples, and a fresh new green space she gets to sniff around. We've already booked a second day due to our needs, and will absolutely reach out again in the future if needed! So glad to establish a connection to a nearby sitter that is so comfortable for our pet.”

“Thank you again John. Walking dogs in a dense urban setting is not without its challenges. John is so experienced with this and we can head out of town without concern for our dog when he's in John's care.”

“Kaitlyn was incredible! Not only did she accommodate Annie on super short notice after a last minute cancellation, but she took phenomenal care of Annie and made sure she was as comfortable as possible during her stay. Provided regular updates, gave Annie her medication on time, and gave her plenty of exercise. Couldn’t recommend Kaitlyn more!”

“Meadow had a great stay! We were so relieved to have found the perfect place for her to go while we went away and we will always book Michael whenever we need to leave her!”

“Hyesoo and her family were absolutely AMAZING! I can’t leave enough stars! Hyesoo sent me many pictures and videos as well as a detailed schedule daily. She was so accommodating and made the stay for our pup absolutely wonderful and worry-free on our end. I would highly recommend her!!”

“Meichen & Tyler are fantastic and did a great job of taking care of our Frenchie. Lots of updates, walks in the park, and great communication make them super easy to work with and we appreciated all their help.”

“Holly was wonderful! Milo had a great stay with Holly and her family, and loved the company of her adorable doodle River. She sent daily photos and was very easy to communicate with. I felt at ease knowing that Milo was well taken care of. Highly recommend!”

“This was Olive's (Pembroke Welsh Corgi) second stay with Andrew and it was a complete success. When I dropped her off, she greeted him with an enthusiastic butt wiggle (the Pembroke Corgi doesn't have a tail) and she went in eagerly. We received excellent videos of her and she returned to us in perfect condition....on schedule with eating and elimination. Also, the house is on an excellent dog walking street...dead end with almost no traffic but right off Route 60 so easy to find.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Belmont
Heidi took excellent care of my young dog, Pia! At first, Pia was a little bit nervous when we dropped her off, but Heidi quickly sent us updates about how well she was adjusting to the new environment. Heidi would frequently go on nice, long walks that could fulfill my high-energy dog's needs, and she sent us updates throughout the duration of my family's trip. Juni was also a lovely friend to Pia, and it was nice to see Pia make a good friend. Heidi is trust-worthy and professional, and I would most definitely use Heidi's services in the future. I highly recommend her services for any pup! Thank you so much Heidi! :)

Chi took absolutely amazing care of my fur baby. She took him on walks, to the dog park and played with him in her home. Winston is still a puppy so he has a lot of energy. Chi kept him entertained by playing with him and throwing his favorite toy around so he could fetch it. If you need an awesome, attentive caregiver Chi is your person.

Paul is just the best. He is always the first person whose availability we check when we are traveling. All three of our dogs have loved going to Paul's for a staycation while we are out of town. We get frequent updates throughout their stay and the pups come back to us happy and healthy. You can tell how much Paul cares about animals and how intentional he is in making sure their every need is met. I cannot recommend highly enough! Would give 6 stars if it were possible.

It's always hard to leave your dog behind while on vacation but I instantly felt as ease as soon as I dropped my baby boi off. He had an amazing time and the daily photos and updates were much appreciated. And because he was so well taken care of, I could fully enjoy my trip. I highly recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
