“Guillermo was awesome. He was flexible with our drop off and pick up times, sent us plenty of updates and our pup came home exhausted from his stay (the best possible outcome!). I would totally book with him again.”

“Lorena was great with our little puppy! She gave lots of updates and was very patient when he had a few accidents indoors! Would absolutely trust her again!”

“Nainika took such great care of my terrier, Penny! Sent me updates and videos. I highly recommend Nainika as a pet sitter. She was responsive to my messages right away. Thank you Nainika for caring for Penny!”

“Alex is the best! My dog has been sick and Alex took good care of her and was attentive. My dog was on meds & she made sure she took her pills. Strongly recommend Alex!”

About: I have one dog and have fostered over a dozen others, including various breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have experience working with super energetic dogs and reactive dogs and love training! I am home for the summer, and I am available all day, because I am working from home! My schedule is very flexible so let me know what works best for you :). Safety is always my number one priority. I have lots of experience reading animal behavior. Please tell me what I should know about your pets or before coming to your home, and if there are any precautions you would like me to take in order to keep your pets happy and healthy! I will always keep dogs on leash, and keep water and treats with me. Will send updates and picture/videos too!
“Alan and Ying were great with my dog once again. They sent a bunch of videos of him playing and it was clear he had a great time. They were very accommodating with an early pick up time.”

“Gina did a wonderful job taking care of Theo! I appreciated her communication and updates! It made me so happy to so see that Theo was content and comfortable with her.”

“Lyn was friggin awesome at watching Jo! She kept me updated with pictures and videos of what the two were up to, and even got him into game of thrones. I definitely recommend her to anyone. She’s super responsible and a great sitter.”

“Deirdre took wonderful care of my dog over the holiday weekend. I had no worries about him knowing she was with him. She made it very easy and is extremely reliable. I will most definitely book with her again for future needs.”

“Julie just watched my shihpoo Jasmine for the first visit. Jasmine and I recently relocated from Virginia to Massachusetts and she is experiencing severe separation anxiety. I had to make a trip out of town and Julie's expertise showed brilliantly. She was like a second mom to my precious pup and fulfilled my every hope and dream. A blessing indeed. Who can put a price on peace of mind?”

“Even though I have never left my dog with a pet sitter before and was nervous about leaving him, Yulia put my mind at ease when I met her. I would definitely leave him with her again.”

“Meichen and Tyler took a great care of my slightly senior dog while we were on our vacation. She sent daily updates and kept me up to date of all the walks and activities. At the start our dog had a few accidents due to her being nervous, but they were super understanding. Another thing is that Meichen is super super responsive! I really appreciate their care for our dog.”

“Aly was extremely helpful when watching my cat. Made sure to keep me updated, even asked how often I’d want updates. Great environment for a dog or cat, accommodated all of my requests and I could tell my cat was happy and entertained there”

“Sean is simply the best! He’s so good with Bailey, takes him on many hikes and walks and snuggles with him. Bailey wags his tail when he sees Sean, and can’t wait to go back. Thank you, Sean! Bailey will be back.”

“First time booking Winn, but very impressed! Easy and flexible communication, and I appreciated the chance for a meet and greet before the booking date to touch base in person. Will definitely be booking Winn again!”

Rowan was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind, caring, and treated Danny like he was her own for the entire 5-day stay. I really appreciated all the updates and the care she gave him. We would absolutely book with Rowan again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter!

Frank absolutely loved his stay. He got to play with other dogs, we got constant pictures throughout the stay of him. He seems comfortable and happy the entire time, and I am sure was sad to be leaving. He was picked up and dropped off at our house so it was SO easy and for a very reasonable rate. We will definitely be using Shuai again in the future when we are traveling and can't take Frank with us.

I’d give Su 100 stars if I could! My two dogs stayed with him while I was visiting my sister, and he took such good care of them and provided detailed updates with information and photos about how they were doing. They loved utilizing his fully fenced backyard and going for walks with him. I had full peace of mind when they were with him, and couldn’t recommend him more!

Barb was fantastic with Murphy. We were out of town for 5 days and she sent daily photos and updates the whole time, which put us completely at ease. You could tell from the pictures alone that Murphy was relaxed and happy, very comfortable with Chiquita, Barb, and everyone else in the household. It's clear Barb genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. We'd book with her again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
