“Whitney took incredible care of our girl, Luna, while we were out of town. She gave us regular snuggle updates and helped Luna feel safe and cared for in our absence.”

“Zelun was so good with our dog. We will definitely be using zelun in the future. He sent lots of photos and had great communication. He also brought Iggy on many adventures each day like the park and nice walks!”
About: I have 2 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes. I’m comfortable administering medications and have experience working with anxious pets, ensuring they feel safe and at ease. I use positive reinforcement techniques and tailor my care to each dog’s unique personality and needs. Your pup will be in loving, attentive hands! I have completed the Red Cross Pet First Aid course in order to be prepared for any events that may occur. I work a flexible, remote job so I am available to tend to your babies as needed! My daily schedule starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 10:30 p.m., but I'm flexible to your needs! I have a large, private porch with plenty of potty spots for your baby, as well as a park within a 5 minute walk if that is what your pet needs. My dog, Juniper, will be a great companion for yours!
“Butchie and I had a greatbexperience with Paige. She is very responsive. She took the time for a perfectly brief meet & greet. Made suggestions on what to bring as this was Butchie's first stay with a non-family member. It could not have gone more smoothly. I'm sure we'll be back!”

“Hyesoo and her family were absolutely AMAZING! I can’t leave enough stars! Hyesoo sent me many pictures and videos as well as a detailed schedule daily. She was so accommodating and made the stay for our pup absolutely wonderful and worry-free on our end. I would highly recommend her!!”

“Julie was a fabulous sitter for our girl Ruby while we were away. We got updates, pictures and appreciate that Ruby was getting lots of love and attention. Ruby greatly enjoyed her “vacation” with Julie and we would definitely book with her again.”
“Sean is worthy of the 5 Star rating. I was in a pinch and needed a sitter a few days before my trip. Sean came through and was able to accommodate my big boy, Finn. Upon attending the meet n’ greet between our dogs (Holly and Remington), Sean sensed I was little nervous. However, he demonstrated not only confidence and knowledge about canine behavioral traits, but also show my boyo love, affection, and care even while juggling his own dogs. Early during my trip, I checked in on Finn often.. But after a few days I felt very peaceful that Finn was in great hands and hand many friends to play with. It was a very comforting experience, for both Finn and myself.”
About: I adore dogs but with a busy career and a teenager with bazillion sports, I prefer to get my dose of canine love through dog sitting! As an educator by trade, I treat the dogs I care for with lots of love. Dogs don’t talk back and it is so much more pleasant 🙂 I am an educator by trade and have summers off, so I’m looking to add some local dog sitting gigs while I have extra time off. I have two small balconies in my condo, and have boarded dogs in my home for up to 6 weeks while dog mom travels. I also do drop ins and have much more flexibility in the summer.
“Yick -hong is fantastic. My dog has some stranger danger, so I’m always nervous with new boarders, but he seemed to feel right at home. Lots of pics and updates, highly recommend.”

“We are so lucky we found Laura! She was wonderful with Biscuit. She was flexible, communicative, helpful, and great with our pup! We would absolutely recommend her to anyone.”

“Sara is a lovely pet caretaker!! She took care of my elderly tiny toy dog for 3 weeks and did an amazing job. I really appreciated her consistent updates and pictures. Highly recommend her!”

“This was our first time using Garrett to watch our pup and we absolutely would do it again! He was attentive, communicative, and flexible. He also handled our anxious dog excellently, being gentle with her but also making sure she got her exercise and play in. Above all, he treated her like a member of the family.”

“Gina was so wonderful! She was so good with Gremlin, who is a big pittie and can be a lot to handle. She also went above and beyond and dropped him back off when I was having car trouble. Sent pics, super sweet and communicative, would recommend and rebook!”

“Kathy was so accommodating and responsive! And she sent pictures of Frankie all day long to keep us posted. It was Frankie’s first experience in a house with cats so we were a bit worried, but everything worked out great and all the animals lived in harmony. We will definitely book again!”

Tons of update pictures he sent throughout the days. No issues with the stay whatsoever. I trust Alex caring for my senior dog. I will definitely use Alex next time when I’m out of town. No doubt!”

“Rachel took such good care of our dog Jax and provided plenty of updates and photographs. We will definitely ask her to watch Jax again and would highly recommend!”

“Lorena and Jahn were very good to my dog. They sent me lots of pictures of him everyday. It made me feel better because I’ve never done this before. They were awsome. I definitely would recommend them. They are really nice people.”

We had a wonderful experience! They took excellent care of our dog and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We really appreciated the frequent updates and photos—they kept us informed and reassured that our pup was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. It was clear our dog received lots of attention and affection throughout the stay. We would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter!

Holly took great care of my dog Koda! She was very sweet, understanding, and patient. I could tell she has experience catering the different dogs needs and personalities, and has the ability to accommodate them and make them comfortable. Koda is a little anxious, and I think she did great with him and made us both very comfortable! She was also very flexible when I realized I was arriving from my trip a little later than expected. Overall great experience, thank you Holly!

Lee and her family did an amazing job taking care of Lugano! They treated him like he was part of their own happy family, and it was clear he was very loved and well cared for while we were away. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such great hands. We would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
