“Alan and Ying were great! They took excellent care of Nori, and we had regular updates. Nori loves playing with their dogs and from updates, she had a ton of fun.”

“Paula was wonderful, quick, responsive, sent pictures and updates every day! Thank you so much, I will definitely call you first the next time we go away! Highly recommend!”

“Kristina is a dog pro! Alfredo loved her and I think she loved him back. :) I received lots of pictures and even a video. I did not worry at all about his care. Thank you Kristina!!”

“Shuhua helped us out in a pinch last minute to board our dog same night, and we are so happy with the attentiveness shown - it doesn't get much better for our shy and sleepy greyhound girlie than an elevator to avoid the scary stairs, a soft couch, lovingly-shared boiled chicken and peeled apples, and a fresh new green space she gets to sniff around. We've already booked a second day due to our needs, and will absolutely reach out again in the future if needed! So glad to establish a connection to a nearby sitter that is so comfortable for our pet.”

“Bridget was great! We appreciated the updates and photos while we were away—they gave us complete confidence that Willow was in excellent hands. Bridget was a prompt and clear communicator, and her attentiveness to our dog’s needs was genuinely appreciated. We would be delighted to work with her again!”

“Absolutely amazing job with my little Lexi! She sent lots of pictures and updates everyday. Lexi had a blast going on adventures with her new besties. So much so that she will be staying with Lorena next weekend too. 10/10 experience, would highly recommend.”

About: I've been a dog lover my entire life and had one of my own until recently. Having dogs in my lives has brought me immense joy! I will treat and care for your dog as if they were a part of my family. I am very reliable and responsible, and I have transportation available for pick-up and drop-off if needed. I would be delighted to take care of your pet! I work from home most of the times and have a pretty flexible schedule! I usually walk my in the morning and before sunset every day, each around 30 minutes, but could increase the frequency if your dog needed! I have a fenced yard, and there are 2 dog parks near my house, I usually let my dog plays there. The dogs in the park I meet are all super friendly! Besides, I have plenty of toys and treats in the house.
“Hong made me feel really comfortable leaving my pup with him. He was super organized about my dog's needs at the meet and greet, provided plenty of updates and pics during the stay, and was overall a pleasure. I knew my dog was in good hands while I was away!”

“Nalix was great with my boy Bentley, very understanding and a true dog person. I was provided pics, which I always appreciate and was glad to see my boy looked happy. My dog is a senior and Nalix was very patient and kind with him, I felt very assured while I was away for a couple of days.”

“Rebecca is absolutely wonderful and we are so lucky we found her to help take care of our dog Winnie when we were out of town. She went out of her way making sure Winnie felt loved and took great care of her for us. She kept in touch with us and we did not worry for a second knowing Winnie was in great hands. I cannot recommend Rebecca enough!”

“Arianna took great care of my pup for two weeks while I was out of the country. She sent pictures daily and was great about keeping me up to speed about any health issues. Will contract her again for my next trip”

About: I’m a proud dog parent to my 4-year-old dog, Simba, so I have firsthand experience with the daily care, attention, and love that dogs need. Caring for Simba has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, regular walks, playtime, feeding routines, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I’ll care for your pet with the same love, attention, and responsibility that I give Simba. 🐾❤️ I stay at home mom so I can give full attention, follow routines and take out for walks. we also have a yard where dogs can play I have a fenced yard, and a friendly goldendoodle who can give your dog company. My goal is to help every pet feel happy, relaxed, and cared for while their family is away.

Kim is one of the kindest and sweetest people ever. She took excellent care of my pups, communicated well, and sent photos throughout the day. She has earned my trust, and I plan to use her as my dogs’ primary dog sitter. Thank you for taking care of Lucky and Petunia; they had such a great time and will miss you and your family!

She took good care of Minnie while I was away for over a week. Everything went smoothly, and I had no issues during her stay. Communication was fine overall, although I would have appreciated more regular updates and photos without having to ask. Overall, she was reliable and I would consider using her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
