“Leaving our dog with Liliya was easy and comfortable. She communicated well and sent us photos throughout each day. Most importantly our dog seemed happy and well cared for when we picked her up! We will definitely be back next time we need a dog sitter in her area!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Emily. She was very flexible with my schedule, the communication was amazing. Mostly importantly she was wonderful with Stella. She kept me updated with photos and messages and you could see Stella was loving her time with Emily. I would not hesitate to book another stay.”

“So glad I found Paige. She cared for our 2 small dogs for 10 days and gave us daily updates with pictures which greatly eased our worries. One of our dogs gets very anxious when not at home but she was very patient with him which helped him to settle in at her comfortable and dog friendly house. She was very flexible and easy going about accommodating their needs. I highly recommend Paige, she is wonderful and I will be using her again.”

“Wanda seemed really kind and caring from the second Koda met her! She took care of him for a week while we were on vacation and it seems like he had a great time playing with Wanda’s pup, Casey. It would be nice if Wanda provided more daily updates, I had to ask a few times to see how he was doing. Overall, Wanda seems like a very kind and reliable sitter.”

“Jen and Robert are just amazing dog lovers who went above and beyond to make our precious fuzzy family member comfortable and happy! They are super great with providing photos and updates daily! This definitely made us felt better about leaving her behind when we were away. They were super loving and caring for our dog and shared their advice on foods, plus great tips on caring for dogs. We definitely will trust them to take care of our cutie again!”

“Fancy had a great time with Yulia & her kids! He came back happy, happy, and tired!! His coat was also very soft and fluffy, so he definitely got some good brush outs! Yulia and her kids are very sweet and I will definitely trust them to watch fancy for me again!”

“Kim is great. Our dog took to her right away and was immediately comfortable in Kim’s home and with her two lovely dogs. Kim kept in touch with us and sent numerous pictures. We highly recommend Kim as a dog sitter.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Cheryl. I would trust her with any pet of mine. She is very communicative and was wonderful with Robi. I would definitely book her again and recommend her to others.”

“Marissa was great with our kiddo/pup Sunny. I know my pup had a great time playing around with Marissa's pup as well. She kept us informed with daily messages and pictures. Would book with Marissa again in a heart beat!”

“Jess was an amazing pet-sitter. The walks and family time were just what our dog loves. He came home happy and well-rested and not exhausted like he usually does when boarded at a kennel-type facility. He enjoyed the love and attention he received, as well as the interaction with the other dogs. We will definitely be using Jess again!”

“Barbara and her partner were wonderful with my little dog. I always worry about her when I travel, and Barbara sent me photos and updates every day, which I greatly appreciated as it showed me she was doing well. Thank you again!”

“Aly was extremely helpful when watching my cat. Made sure to keep me updated, even asked how often I’d want updates. Great environment for a dog or cat, accommodated all of my requests and I could tell my cat was happy and entertained there”

“Yasmine took care of my dog according to my request. She sent me pictures and a see-promoter for any of my communications. I would definitely use her services again.”

“Kayla was amazing!! She was so responsive and communicative and sent me lots of update and pictures, which was great. It was clear Honey had a great time there and felt very comfortable. It was a relief to not have to worry at all and felt safe knowing she was in good hands.”

“Yagmur was fantastic with our pup. She really gave her such a fun overnight - long walks, hang time, and play time in her fenced in back yard. Plus Yagmur is so warm and friendly so it was a pleasure to communicate with her!”

“We couldn’t have been happier with Jing! Traveling for a week without your pet can sometimes take away from the trip itself when you think about your dog staying with someone new. I can assure you that this was not the case for us! Jing kept us updated every day with photos of our dog’s time with her and her family. We felt so at ease while we were away knowing that she was being so cared for. I would highly recommend Jing to watch your pet if you’re in the market for an excellent pet sitter. We can’t wait to bring her back!”

“Julie did an amazing job taking care of our cat, Cal! He is usually shy and fearful of strangers, but she was incredibly patient with him and soon coaxed him out of his shell. Julie also did a great job of sending us a constant stream of pictures and updates. I highly recommend her!”

About: My wife and I both love animals and dogs. However, we are not at the stage in our lives where we are ready to commit to our pet yet. We want to spend time with dogs and animals, and this is sort of our way of doing this. We both grew up around animals. My wife has owned her own dog when she was younger and often sits her brother's dog. I have experience taking care of neighbor's pets, but have also raised exotic animals like peacocks, pheasants, cows, sheep, and etc. I am an IT working professional and really like going on walks and small hikes. I work from home which enables me to spend quality time with the pet throughout the day. I am mainly doing this because I love animals and spending time around animals. But as of now, I am only offering boarding services where I host your pet in my home. When we connect we can talk in detail about your needs, you pets needs, and etc.
The median cost per night for pet boarding in Wellesley is $60
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wellesley
Kim took such great care of Louie! I could tell right away that she was a true dog lover. She sent several pictures and checked in with me over the duration of the stay. She instantly eased my anxiety as I hadn’t left Louie for an overnight stay in a while and I could tell he was comfortable and happy. I would highly recommend Kim!

This is the second time our dog, James, has stayed with Iana, his favorite sitter. She sent us a video and many pictures daily, keeping us updated on how he was doing. James looked so happy and relaxed, clearly enjoying himself in a familiar and loving environment. We will definitely ask her to take care of him again!

We are so grateful to Emily for taking such amazing care of our dog, Aria, while we were on vacation. From the moment we dropped Aria off, we knew she was in great hands. Emily was warm, attentive, and clearly experienced with dogs, Aria settled in right away! Aria enjoyed her daily walks and playing in her fenced backyard. Throughout the stay, Emily kept us updated with sweet messages and photos, which gave us peace of mind and showed just how happy and comfortable Aria was in her home. It was clear she treated Aria like one of her own. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and wouldn’t hesitate to leave Aria with Emily again. Highly recommended!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
