“François is an absolutely amazing individual with dogs. He has a really big yard, a patio and the woods nearby which kept my pupper happy. More so than that - this was the second time I’ve boarded him with François, and around this time my dog was too eager to go with him. He’ll emotionally invest into your dog, ask important questions and your dog will have fun! 10/10 recommend, and will come back.”

“Thank you Alex so much for taking care of Moab during July 4th weekend. Alex accommodated short notice boarding and very flexible with pickup/drop off time. Tons of update pictures he sent throughout the days. No issues with the stay whatsoever. I trust Alex caring for my senior dog. I will definitely use Alex next time when I’m out of town. No doubt!”

“Thank you Victoria for taking wonderful care of our dog Eddie. It was a pleasure to meet her family during the meet and greet. I was very grateful for the photo updates. Eddie was happy and very well cared for and they made him feel right at home. Thank you again. Victoria is kind, warm, gentle and loves dogs.”

“Hyesoo is amazing with dogs! We left our very clingy mini dachshund with her for 6 nights. Our dog loves constant attention and has endless energy, but Hyesoo took such great care of her, and she absolutely loved staying with her. Hyesoo sent us lots of photos and videos throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We could tell Peanut was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We wouldn’t hesitate to leave her with Hyesoo again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

“Phillipa is an amazing dog sitter! The updates every day were very much appreciated and we will definitely consider her again for any future needs.”

“Ben is great! He kept me updated through the entire stay and gave my pup Potato lots of attention! He even made it easy for my dog & I to meet him before the booking. I highly highly recommend Ben to watch your dog! I will be using him whenever I am out of town!”

“Chloe seemed to have a great week at Andrea's. She came home tired and happy. There were 2 other dogs there and they all seemed to get along. Andrea sent me pictures. I'm very pleased.”

“Lyn was great with my puppy Pixie-Fluff! She sent pictures, gave her cuddles, and made sure she got some exercise and outdoor time. Pixie Fluff can’t wait to see her again.”

“Alex is the best! My dog has been sick and Alex took good care of her and was attentive. My dog was on meds & she made sure she took her pills. Strongly recommend Alex!”

“Yick -hong is fantastic. My dog has some stranger danger, so I’m always nervous with new boarders, but he seemed to feel right at home. Lots of pics and updates, highly recommend.”

“Our goldendoodle stayed with Amanda for a week while we were away and had an amazing time! Amanda took our pup for several walks on the beach, which she LOVES, and even taught her a new trick! Amanda is very responsive and sent frequent updates and pictures, and she has a great energy. I know our dog was in good hands with her. I would 100% trust Amanda with our pup again.”

“It's always hard to leave your dog behind while on vacation but I instantly felt as ease as soon as I dropped my baby boi off. He had an amazing time and the daily photos and updates were much appreciated. And because he was so well taken care of, I could fully enjoy my trip. I highly recommend.”

“Julie kept our two dogs for a long weekend and was absolutely fabulous. We were nervous leaving our younger dog (who has some anxiety) in a new place with someone new for the first time but it couldn’t have gone better. Both dogs seemed totally happy and at ease when we picked them up. I genuinely think they didn’t want to come home! We will certainly be using Julie again.”

“Carlos & Nina took care of my 8 month pup and they were amazing . Kind , professional and excellent communication which alleviates my anxiety .”

“Had a great experience with JP for boarding my pup Korra over the holidays! He took great care of her, was easy to communicate with, and my pup seemed to have a fun time with his family and dog. Thank you so much!”

“Tyler and Meichen were awesome with Milo! They kept sending us pictures, took him for multiple walks and it was clear he was super happy and having a great time. They really took great care of him, and we felt so at ease knowing he was in good hands. I’d totally recommend them to anyone looking for dog sitters—they’re the best!”

Mayra was very lovely to work with and was SUPER flexible and accommodating. I was kind of a pain in the butt given all my schedule changes 😂. But she was more than happy to accommodate with watching Kira. Took a load of stress off knowing my pup was in good hands and i didnt have to worry. She also provided tons of pictures and kept me up to date on how she was doing. Definitely recommend her to anyone!

She took good care of Minnie while I was away for over a week. Everything went smoothly, and I had no issues during her stay. Communication was fine overall, although I would have appreciated more regular updates and photos without having to ask. Overall, she was reliable and I would consider using her again.

Sana took fantastic care of our dog, Toby! Since this was Toby's first stay with her, I really appreciated how she took the time to ask about his routine. She provided wonderful daily updates and kept communication smooth throughout. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Katherine was amazing! We got to set up a meeting beforehand and she was very open to everything and responsive! Our dog, Lena, is a very shy girl around new people, but she warmed up to Katherine super quick! We got plenty of pictures/updates during the stay and will definitely be going back!

Junho might be the best sitter in the North Cambridge area. When it comes to caring for your dog, the most important aspect is genuine love and care. You can tell that your dog is having a blast by checking the constant photos and live updates from Junho. As you can see from those photos, it's easy to tell how much love my dog was given during this stay. Furthermore, Junho was really flexible in fitting my schedule, which was out of the ordinary due to having a baby. If you need someone to take care of your dog, it's Junho

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
