“Guillermo was awesome. He was flexible with our drop off and pick up times, sent us plenty of updates and our pup came home exhausted from his stay (the best possible outcome!). I would totally book with him again.”

“Our dog Gus has stayed with Sue many times and he absolutely adores her! Almost as much as we do :) She is amazing with him and we always know he’s in great hands when he spends time at her house.”
About: Having met so many pets over the years, all they require is patience for them to introduce themselves. And I can’t wait to meet yours. I can make time first thing in the mornings and at home during evenings. I can provide longer care hours on the weekends and holidays. I have a spacious two bed two bath apartment with a high railing balcony. I have two very friendly cats who are more like dogs than cats.
“My Wilson (Weimaraner) had a great 4-night stay with Sean and his dog, Remi. Sean is true dog lover and Wilson felt really comfortable and safe with him almost instantly (which is not a given with Wilson) at our meet and greet. Sean’s photo and video updates from their walks and hikes reassured me that Wilson was really well cared for. This was the first time I had someone take care of Wilson other than my friends, and I think I might have just hit the jackpot with Sean and Remi. I would highly recommend Sean and will employ his services again next time I need to travel for work.”

“We are very happy to have found Jing, someone who genuinely cares and loves our dog, Nara. It was Nara's first time boarding and a long duration of over a week. We were quite nervous but Jing had done everything to ensure us that Nara would be OK. And indeed, Nara was happy and well taken care of. We received photos with short reports daily. We'd highly recommend Jing and yes, we will use her service again. Thank you once again, Jing :)”

“Kristina is an absolutely exceptional dog sitter and human being. We were able to go out of the country with complete peace of mind. From the moment she met Coco, I sensed he was in loving and competent hands. She then exceeded all expectations. Tons of updates and cute pics everyday. Taking him to work on occasion, and even gifting him an adorable little polar fleece outfit. This woman is unreal—she’s an angel. We’ve already booked her for our next trip away.”

“Meichen & Tyler are fantastic and did a great job of taking care of our Frenchie. Lots of updates, walks in the park, and great communication make them super easy to work with and we appreciated all their help.”

“Eddie took great care of our dog. He was kind, patient, and you could tell he really loves the dogs he boards. He was also very professional and paid close attention to the dog’s needs, which gave us a lot of confidence that our dog was in good hands. He even offered pick-up and drop-off, making everything so much easier. The whole experience was smooth and felt like a premium service. It’s clear he takes his boarding business seriously and puts a lot of care into providing a great experience for both dogs and their owners. We’d definitely book with Eddie again and highly recommend him.”

“Bridget was fabulous. Blue had some digestive issues. We communicated with Bridget ahead of time and she was extremely supportive and helpful. She administered new food and medicine while Blue was there. She is an absolute pro and awesome to work with!”

“Ismael was fantastic! You could see at arrival that he likes dogs very much. During Mel and Luna’s stay at his place we got many pictures with very happy dogs. It made us very comfortable to see our dogs so well taken care. We will certainly come back and leave Mel and Luna with him whenever is needed.”

“Shuhua is very caring and takes good care of my dog. She is responsive and considerate- she always sent the photos of my dog to keep me updated. I recommend her.”

“Izzy was absolutely amazing! My dog has anxiety and is reactive with other dogs but she was great with him. She kept me updated on how he was doing and any issues he had. She took wonderful care of Wally and I’ll absolutely be using her in the future. Genuinely my only complaint is that she doesn’t charge enough for the great service she gives!”

“Julie is the best!! I was in a tough spot with a flight delay and she was so kind and accommodating helping to drop off my dog and checked in to make sure we got back okay to take care of Willow that that night. I’m sure Willow would have loved if the flight was delayed even more so she could spend more time with Julie because her life seemed full of adventures and love all week. Huge thanks to Julie would definitely love to have her watch willow again!”

“Greta was very kind, patient, communicative and accommodating! Lots of updates and pics throughout my dogs stay. Plenty of walks and park time. He seemed genuinely happy to be there!”

“Isabella was extremely responsive and communicative! She took on a tall task of watching after not only my dog, Muzzy, but 3 other dogs simultaneously, all while also taking care of her baby. Isabella kept us updated with videos throughout the day. I would definitely ask Isabella to care for Muzzy again in the future.”

“Thank you Alex so much for taking care of Moab during July 4th weekend. Alex accommodated short notice boarding and very flexible with pickup/drop off time. Tons of update pictures he sent throughout the days. No issues with the stay whatsoever. I trust Alex caring for my senior dog. I will definitely use Alex next time when I’m out of town. No doubt!”

“Our second boarding with Jo and Adam was as outstanding as the first! Our puppy Fig was happy as can be to see them again and came home in great spirits. Thanks so much Jo and Adam!”

“Sarah was great with my nervous hound girl Minnie. She was gracious enough to set up a meet and greet on short notice, and gave me peace of mind by communicating with me and sending photos of my dog when she was watching her. I was lucky to find Sarah and would use her again.”

Sana really came through for us by taking Pear last minute due to a cancellation from another sitter. She read my instructions carefully and took good care of Pear, asking reasonable questions whenever needed. She gave timely updates and communicated clearly. We are fortunate to have found her and will definitely use her again. Highly recommended!

Sean is a wonderful sitter! Our dog has stayed with Sean twice now and both times he has provided updates and accommodated any changes needed. He really cares about the dogs and makes sure they have plenty of outside time and playtime. We highly recommend and will continue to have our dog stay with Sean in the future!

Katherine was amazing! We got to set up a meeting beforehand and she was very open to everything and responsive! Our dog, Lena, is a very shy girl around new people, but she warmed up to Katherine super quick! We got plenty of pictures/updates during the stay and will definitely be going back!

Junho might be the best sitter in the North Cambridge area. When it comes to caring for your dog, the most important aspect is genuine love and care. You can tell that your dog is having a blast by checking the constant photos and live updates from Junho. As you can see from those photos, it's easy to tell how much love my dog was given during this stay. Furthermore, Junho was really flexible in fitting my schedule, which was out of the ordinary due to having a baby. If you need someone to take care of your dog, it's Junho

Kim is fantastic! Salty had a wonderful time with Kim. Salty was well taken care of, enjoyed his overnights, and got along well with Kim’s two dogs. Kim’s fenced in yard is a real plus. Kim was able to help me with my last minute booking and was very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times.

My dog stayed with Sam and his fiancée Morgane for a 2.5-week stay and I can't recommend or thank them enough. Right before the stay my dog had a Lyme's disease flare up which required rest and medication. I was nervous about leaving him for so long while sick, but felt at ease during drop-off when Sam assured me it was no big deal. They sent me lots of updates (including videos of how Ozzie was doing) and made sure I had the communication I needed/wanted, and that Ozzie got all his meds. They were both so easy to coordinate pickup/drop off with, and Ozzie had a great time with lots of play (once better) and attention! Thank you Sam and Morgane - Ozzie can't wait for the next "vacation"!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
