About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have always had them as part of my life, so being around animals feels very natural to me. My last dog, a 12-year-old schnauzer mix with complex needs, recently passed away, and caring for her through her senior years only deepened my patience, attentiveness, and understanding of dogs who need extra support or routine. I really love animals and treat every dog like my own—with kindness, calm energy, and lots of care. I understand how important it is to feel completely comfortable leaving your pet with someone, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m available for morning walks and drop-ins and would love to help care for your pup!
“Ani was in great communication before the booking and made sure she had all the info to take care of my cat. My cat can be pretty skittish and came right out to be pet, and she’s the most important judge! I’ll definitely use Ani next time I go away!”

About: I am a lifelong dog lover and animal person. I grew up riding horses and spent years at the barn caring for the horses, dogs, and cats. I've had my own dogs and taken care of other people's. I would love to take your dog for walks and spoil them with love! I am also licensed in my town and have pet sitting insurance outside of Rover's insurance. I have a flexible job and work from home most days. I can fit in walks or be around the house with your dog. I have a secure and good sized fenced in yard and live near a dog park as well if your dog is okay with other dogs. I balance spoiling dogs with lots of love, treats, and pats with making sure dogs get whatever individual care they need including feedings, exercise, and medications if needed.

My experience has taught me the importance of patience, attention to detail, and providing loving care to pets. I work part time so I am mostly free in the mornings and evenings Monday 9-2; 7-9 Tuesday 9-2; 7-9 Wednesday 9-11:30; 7-9 Thursday 9-2; 7-9 Friday 9-2; 7-9 I can also do weekends if available Whether it’s walking, feeding, or playtime, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Also, I take time to understand each pet’s unique personality, needs, and preferences.

About: Hi, I’m Sabrina! I’ve been caring for pets for 8 years, and nothing makes me happier than getting to know each animal’s unique personality. I work with both dogs and cats and have experience with everything from tiny puppies to slow‑moving seniors, from shy kitties to big, energetic dogs. I grew up in a family that owned two Shar‑Peis, so I’m very comfortable with stubborn, reactive, or strong‑willed breeds. I understand body language, thresholds, and how to build trust with pets who need a little extra patience. Whether your dog is still learning manners or your cat prefers a quiet observer, I meet every animal where they are. I currently have a very open schedule, so pet care fits easily into my day. I’m home most of the time and can adjust to your pet’s routine, whether you need morning, midday, or evening visits. I care for pets in their own home so they can stay relaxed in a familiar space. I follow your routines exactly, keep your home secure, and double‑check doors and gates before leaving. I’m respectful of your space and send updates so you always know your pet is safe and comfortable.

“Carol is a wonderful Rover. Great communication and reliability. With a younger high energy dog, having someone like Carol helps immensely during the work week.”

“Stephanie took great care of our cat for 2 weeks during our trip. She was very attentive, carrying and pampered our cat. I am sure our cat is now best friends with Stephanie and will demand Stephanie back. Stephanie was very proactive and responsive in her communications, she kept the cat happy and helped with watering the plants and keeping his litter clean. A 5 star review for a 5 star cat caretaker!”

“Alyson is incredible. I've had a lot of dogwalkers over the years and I find her to be extraordinary. Alyson is communicative, friendly, and I trust her judgement completely. She came on time, took great care of my blind special needs dog, and even went above and beyond to bring in my trash cans from the curb. Thank you Alyson!”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life. I have cared for many of my own, neighbors', and friends' pets throughout my life. I love getting to know different dogs and their personalities, walking, and playing with them. I'm a local college student with a pretty flexible schedule especially in the summer and during school breaks. I am willing to accommodate for off hours. I have experience with difficult and anxious pets, as well as different sizes of dogs. I'm a pretty active individual, but also love to chill on the couch if that's more your pet's speed.
About: I’m not just a dog lover—I’m a proud dog mom of 9 years! I know how much your pup means to you because I feel the same way about mine. I bring the same care, attention, and love to every walk and drop-in as I do with my own dog, Dobby. I currently have a hybrid work schedule and work from home Mondays and Fridays. So Mondays and Fridays are pretty open. Tuesdays and Thursdays I would be available after 6pm so please feel free to message me if interested. Weekends I am available! When I drop in to care for your pet, I treat your home and your furry friend with the same respect and love I give my own. I always follow your care instructions closely—whether that’s feeding, potty breaks, playtime, or medication. I keep things calm and comforting for your pup, so they feel safe and happy.
“Peaches, my little old Yorkie, took to Jess immediately and they enjoyed a nice walk in the neighborhood. I appreciated her promptness in arriving on time, and her photo that she took of Peaches. Highly recommend!”

“Scooting is typical of Mae, inconsistent but common. Ill keep an eye on her, it could be a sign of a vaginal issue. Thanks for your help today. My train back to Boston, 30 minutes in, is heading back to NY due to an electrical issue. If this turns out to be an issue that requires me to stay in NY tonight, would you be available tomorrow AM to walk and feed them? I dont want to confirm any plans until I know what Amtrak is going to do. I’ll request the booking through Rover when I know.”

About: Plenty of experience with all types of pets! I have been around dogs and cats all of my life and I currently own an AMAZING corgi named Macy. I am very comfortable around all dogs whether they are small or large. I love dogs and will definitely take wayyyy too many pictures of your fur babies. Your pets are your children and I am more than equipped to meet their needs. I lived with 4 dogs before so I’m very used to watching more than 1. Keeping your pets happy is my priority!!! I typically work 8-5pm at Texas a&m and I’m free outside of that! Depending on how close you were I could potentially let the dogs out at lunch. Your pets typically feel most comfortable in their own environment so while I can’t keep them at my house with my current housing restrictions I am more than willing to house sit so that they can feel at ease while you are away.
West Newton dog parents share their Rover experiences
Michelle was the absolute BEST with our little pup while we were out for a few hours. He’s just 11 weeks old, so he’s a bit needier than the standard drop in. Michelle took the challenge on willingly as a recent puppy mom herself, ensuring she understood his routine thoroughly so she could replicate it. Her kind nature, clear communication, and thorough updates helped us relax and enjoy our first real night out since bringing our puppy home. Will 100% book with Michelle again!

We are so thrilled to have discovered Carol! She is knowledgeable, caring, and was so great with our dog. We'd only had our dog Josie for 1.5 months and it was our first time away since adopting her. Carol came for drop ins and went above and beyond to make sure that Josie felt comfortable throughout the trip. She kept us updated with photos and details and gave us such peace of mind while being away. We can't wait to book Carol again!

Kathleen saved us in a pinch. We had a change in plans about a month before a trip. We usually board our dog and use friends for cat sitting. Our dog is often not friendly to strangers so we needed a housesitter. A few other leads on Rover fell through or didn't have a car. We had a meet and greet with Kathleen and that was all it took. The 2x/day drop-ins worked perfectly and kept both animals safe and sound during a very snowy week. Kathleen is great, you won't be disappointed.

Maria was amazing! Murphy is anxious around new people so can sometimes be difficult but she was patient with him - exactly what he needs! She was on time and made sure to send me pictures of Muprhy on their walk. So nice to have someone be able to let Murphy out and know he’s being well taken care of!

Grace did a great job taking care of my senior cat Dagny. She is still very active, although shy, yet Grace was able to make friends with Dagny, treated her and even got to groom a bit. She followed my particular feeding instructions perfectly, and kept water filled and litter clean. Grace has quick response communication, and shared some great pics of my girl during her visit. I highly recommend Grace for her care and professionalism.

Kelsey was amazing and Bicky loved spending time with her! She’s very accommodating of all requests and kept us updated through pics and texts. Even though it was a drop in visit, she spend the time playing with Bicky for a bit before leaving. Will definitely recommend and looking forward to working with her again! Thanks Kelsey!
