“Royce cared for our older Cavalier for the first time while we were away for a week, and she exceeded our exceptions! Toby sometimes needs a little extra help, and she was patient and skilled in handling him during her drop-in visits and also excellent at communicating with us. We would have her care for Toby again without hesitation!”

About: I’ve had cats since I was 8 years old. With the 16 years of experience with cats, I believe every fur baby needs a home away from home. Like with every pet parent, I strive for the best with my cat. If you choose me to watch your fur baby, I will provide the best and safest environment for them. Do they need a room to themselves? You got it. Has explosive diarrhea? I have cleaning supplies. Medical issues? Another way to keep me on my toes. I hope you consider me as a prospective aunt to your kitter cat or doggo and can’t wait to fill up my camera role with adorable pictures. I look forward to hearing from you 💕 I am a grad student at Brandeis University. My classes are usually over by 2 pm, so after then I’m usually at my apartment caring for my cat and completing schoolwork. So needless to say, I have a lot of flexibility within my schedule for your pets individual needs. If I am doing home visits, I would like to visit the clients home a day or two prior to the arranged visit(s) to understand the animals needs and to see if we would be a good fit. I believe it is important to establish an understanding with the animal in question before I frequent the premises so there isn’t any unnecessary stress for your pet. In regards to boarding, I have a medium sized apartment that would be good for any cat or small-medium dog. There are multiple grassy areas for bathroom breaks and walks around the premises. You will have to provide me with your animals usual schedule (times for bathroom breaks, when and how much time are committed to walks, feeding times, etc.) so I can build my set around them and their needs
About: I love to work with pets. I love to taking care of pets, feeding, walking, playing with them. Also I have a CPR Certificate, my insurance and anything you need to trust in me and leave your beloved friend under my supervision. With my your pet will be really happy, will receive love will have fun and care. Taking pets to walk is my passion, I enjoy a lot walking with those furry friends by my side. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays when I am off. I live in first floor in a big apartment. So taking care of pets in my home is not an issue. The Waltham Common is near so we can walk in nature freely.

“Took really good care of my fur babies and was conscientious and tidy in my apartment. Loved the updates and photos! I will definitely re-book and it made me very comfortable in a stressful work event that I knew my cats were taken care of, especially my newly diabetic cat!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities. I’m patient, attentive, and quick to learn each pet’s routine, and I always treat every pet like my own. I currently work web/graphic design freelance part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility for drop-ins, walks, and playtime throughout the week. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I love staying active and spending time with animals. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I pay attention to details like locked gates, proper leash handling, and monitoring behavior to ensure pets feel safe. I always follow owners’ instructions closely regarding feeding schedules, training rules, and health needs.

“Avery was awesome! She watched my kitties for multiple days while I was traveling and I came home to very happy and content cats. She brushed and played with them, and gave their oral medications every morning. She always sent a detailed description of each visit with lots of photos. I will be rebooking Avery in the future!”

“My cat warmed up to her right away even though she can be shy with strangers! I got multiple pictures from every visit of her happy as a clam. She’s also a special needs cat so it was really comforting to see her so well taken care of!”

About: I've loved dogs my whole life and grew up caring for two of my own. I fed them, bathed them, took them on walks and park trips, traveled with them, and handled vet visits and meds. As I got older, friends began asking me to watch their dogs, and those jobs always turned into repeat invitations, which I take as a great compliment. For the past six months, I've volunteered walking dogs at a senior living community, which has taught me to be patient, gentle, and attentive to each dog's unique needs. I follow whatever routines or priorities an owner has, and make sure every dog gets the love, activity, and safety they deserve. I'd be excited to meet you and your pup to see if I can be of help! I'm currently doing school online, so have a lot of flexibility with my schedule! I share a car with my husband so my availability can be flexible with sufficient heads-up. I'm an early-bird so any time really works for me! When caring for your dog in your home, I treat your space with the same respect I'd want for my own. I'm there to focus on your pet's needs, follow your routines, and keep everything running smoothly. I stay focused on what I'm there to do, giving your dog responsible care and making sure they get what they need.
“Anna was absolutely wonderful in taking care of our two kitties. She also was kind enough to bring in any packages on our porch. I really appreciated the photos and updates along the way. We'll definitely turn to Anna for our future trips :) Thank you so much!!!”

About: I have been teaching elementary school for 11 years. During the year, I am available for pet care in the evenings or on the weekend. In the summer, I am available anytime as I am taking this summer off! I have always owned a dog, and couldn’t imagine living without one. I currently have a mixed breed 60 pound dog who is fear reactive of new dogs and strangers. I spend countless hours training and working with him so that he can enjoy life to the fullest. I adopted him from a kill shelter in Georgia 5 years ago. I have lots of experience with different breeds and behaviors, and believe there’s no such thing as a bad dog. I am patient and kind, and look forward to working with you and your dog so that all of their needs are met. During the school year, I am available mostly just on weekends but could help on evenings as well. For the summer I am available whenever needed. I am available to go on multiple walks with your dog and care for your dog in whatever capacity you need. I am comfortable with all sorts of dog tools and devices if that’s something you utilize as well.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Waltham
Michelle was the absolute BEST with our little pup while we were out for a few hours. He’s just 11 weeks old, so he’s a bit needier than the standard drop in. Michelle took the challenge on willingly as a recent puppy mom herself, ensuring she understood his routine thoroughly so she could replicate it. Her kind nature, clear communication, and thorough updates helped us relax and enjoy our first real night out since bringing our puppy home. Will 100% book with Michelle again!

We are so thrilled to have discovered Carol! She is knowledgeable, caring, and was so great with our dog. We'd only had our dog Josie for 1.5 months and it was our first time away since adopting her. Carol came for drop ins and went above and beyond to make sure that Josie felt comfortable throughout the trip. She kept us updated with photos and details and gave us such peace of mind while being away. We can't wait to book Carol again!

We had a great experience with Annette! She took the time to come beforehand and learn our guinea pigs’ routine, which we really appreciated. She was reliable, attentive, and took great care of them while we were away. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend!

Kathleen saved us in a pinch. We had a change in plans about a month before a trip. We usually board our dog and use friends for cat sitting. Our dog is often not friendly to strangers so we needed a housesitter. A few other leads on Rover fell through or didn't have a car. We had a meet and greet with Kathleen and that was all it took. The 2x/day drop-ins worked perfectly and kept both animals safe and sound during a very snowy week. Kathleen is great, you won't be disappointed.

Maria was amazing! Murphy is anxious around new people so can sometimes be difficult but she was patient with him - exactly what he needs! She was on time and made sure to send me pictures of Muprhy on their walk. So nice to have someone be able to let Murphy out and know he’s being well taken care of!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
