“Eveline offered drop-in visits throughout a week for my cat while I was away. She was super reliable and punctual with her visits and provided immediate communications. My main ask was for her to clean the litter box, but she also offered to hangout with my cat and gave him brushing sessions! Eveline was also super accommodating and reliable for picking up and dropping off my keys.”

“Alissa was wonderful! I wasn’t worried about Buster at all while I was away because of her detailed reports and photos from each visit. Will definitely be booking with her again.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats big little and everything in between! I love going on walks, playing catch, and giving lots of pets and love. I have experience giving medications, and dealing with elderly pets as well as the little kitties and puppies! I currently work as an Afterschool teacher and PCA, and am busy 11-6 on weekdays for the school year. However, my mornings and late evenings are open. I am also free weekends! I am able to stay with your animals while you are away, or check in on them for walks or play time during the day. Whatever you need!
“Julie is great! Very reliable and respectful. We left our keys at home and she on a weekend, while it wasn’t her working day, waited for us to go and get the spare keys from her. Also our cats loved her!”

About: Hi! I'm Brooke, and I'm here to help you out with your four-legged friends :) As a full-time graduate student and part-time employee at a local café, my schedule is always changing—but I make time for what I love! I've grown up with cats and dogs my whole life and have missed their company since moving to Boston for school. Most of my experience is limited to a long-term gig watching 3 rambunctious huskies, but I also have some experience taking care of dogs with severe anxiety and cats. I understand that these aren't just pets, they're family—I treat them with the utmost respect and care when I work with them. I'm currently a full time graduate student and part time worker, looking for the opportunity to earn some additional income in a flexible environment and cute company. I have experience visiting other homes to feed, let out, walk and play with dogs while their owners are off on holiday or other business, usually for 30 minutes to 1 hour at a time and multiple times a day. To a lesser extent, I've also done some short-term overnight care, for both dogs and cats.

About: Dogs have been a constant part of my life, as I’ve grown up with 2–3 dogs in my family. Being around and caring for them has always been something I genuinely enjoy. As a teacher, I’m also looking for a way to earn some extra income, and I know that spending time with animals is something I find relaxing and rewarding after a busy day. I’ve dog-sat for family friends on multiple occasions, including caring for dogs with specific routines and tight feeding schedules. I understand how important it is to stick to a pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m responsible, patient, and attentive, and I truly enjoy spending time with dogs. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, giving them plenty of attention, or simply keeping them company, I want every dog in my care to feel safe and loved. I’m also comfortable following specific feeding instructions and making sure pets receive the care and attention they need throughout the day. For me, pet sitting isn’t just about making sure a dog is fed and taken care of—it’s about treating them like family and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I am currently working a M-F work schedule. Monday: 7:30-1:30 Tuesday: 7:30-4 Wednesday: 7:30-5 Thursday: 7:30-4 Friday: 7:30-4 When caring for a pet in a client’s home, I make it a priority to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. I’ll follow any specific instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and other daily routines. I know that pets can feel more comfortable when things stay familiar, so I do my best to make their time without their owners as stress-free as possible. I’m also respectful of my client’s home and will make sure everything is left clean and as I found it. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind while they’re away. My goal is to care for every pet as I would my own.
“Lavendar was professional and super caring towards our cats! She was flexible with scheduling and very responsive when I would reach out via text. I highly recommend her!”

About: I've been accustomed around pets my whole life. Currently I am an owner of two cats and two dogs, so I have good experience with both animals who are each very different in their own right. Very flexible and eager to see your pet! :) Currently I am a incoming MCPHS student studying to get my Doctorate in Pharmacy. I am mostly open later into the afternoons typically after the times of 2-3p.m. Every Tuesday I am not free as I have D&D. Raising my pet I always taught them to be smart, as in when my cat was a kitten I would always press on his paws, and now he can open up doors and containers. For my dog i've thought him to come to me and be able to signal for his wants and needs; however for pets that were not of my own I was vigilant with them. Checking and making sure they were constantly with me whenever I would shift my attention and focus elsewhere. I always follow the schedules that owners have for their own pets; as throwing that out of sync wouldn't just throw the pet, but also their owners schedule too. We all have scheduled times with our pets whether we realize it or not, my job will be to keep that norm when you might not be able to.
About: I’ve been surrounded by pets my whole life. Anything from cats to dogs to sheep and to chickens. I’m assuming I won’t be looking after sheep or chickens, but you never know! Pets are such an important part of our lives. They are a priority and they should be treated with so much love, care, and attention. I am looking forward to earning the chance to establish long term relationships with you and your fluffy and energetic friends. I work full time during the week as a school teacher taking care of and educating little humans. What a surprise that I want to do the same with your pets! I am available after school (around 4:30) during the week and anytime on the weekends. During the summer I will have more availability! I am all about safety and trust. As I have stated, I work in a school and safe and trustworthy relationships are important. I will provide your pet with company and care when I am working with them. I am also someone who is willing to take care of the space I am in. I am always teaching my students to clean up after themselves and respect the space they are in. I will do they same with your space and the resources that I will use in your space to care for your pet.
About: Proud dog-owner for the past three years! Grew up in a house cosplaying as a petting zoo- cats, frogs, dogs, hamsters, you name it! Extremely flexible, willing to adapt, and excited to get to know your pets! Just a teacher trying to make enough money to have a career of not making enough money #fortheloveofthegame I currently teach full-time, so evenings and weekends provide the most availability. However, with summer around the corner, my availability will be expanding! After mid-May, I will have availability from 3:30 PM onwards. I currently live in an apartment in West Harlem with my 4-year old mutt. She warms up to most doggos, but an intro would be necessary! The apartment is near multiple parks, and I am located in a walkable area.

About: After two decades in the food industry, I’ve cultivated lasting friendships built on trust and reliability. Those friends have recognized my genuine passion for animal care, leading them to trust with care of their pets My schedule is open if I don’t have any more bookings, I am all yours. I am prompt and I am thorough with any task I undertake. Safe, cozy and love. They will get attention they deserve, playtime and photo updates. I follow the routine closely, so they feel happy, secure and right at home.

“Lulu took amazing care of our cat and provided detailed updates after each visit along with pictures and videos while feeding, giving insulin injections, cleaning up after, and spending time with Callie. We look forward to booking with her again!”

About: Howdy! My name is Natalie and any dog I've met I have loved like my own. Growing up I had my fluffy 90lb Labradoodle and two sweet guinea pigs. Aside from my own pup, neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk and feed their dogs and care for their cats. I currently have a full time job where I have to go into the office Monday-Thursday but an available for walks and drop-in on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I live in a small apartment in Brighton MA across the street from a wonderful reservoir and less than a mile away from several parks! I am a very active person so would be a great host for an athletic or active dog! However, if your dog is less active, I can easily bring my activity level to where your dog is happy and comfortable. I allow pets on my bed and couch, unless you prefer them not to.
“Sarah is amazing! We've booked her twice and both times have come home to a happy and healthy kitty. Our cat absolutely loves her, and we feel so secure knowing she is taking care of him while we are away.”

About: I am a mother to a 5 year old Siberian Husky who has a lot of energy and loves to be outside. My favorite thing to do is to take him on 1 hour long walks to the Paul Revere Park and the North Point Park usually twice a day. We also love walking the Charles River Esplanade. I’m currently in grad school and have availability between classes. I would love to take your dogs on a refreshing, energetic, fun long walk or run. This would be without my Husky of course. I grew up with dogs my whole life, and have a lot of experience with a variance of breeds, weights, and temperament. I’ve also taken dog training classes with my husky. I look forward to helping you out with walking your pups! I know our dogs are our babies, so I’m excited to give them a wonderful time outside. I have availability between 12:30pm and 5:00pm Monday though Friday. Weekends may be flexible. I just have a lot of free time that I wouldn’t mind spending walking doggies. I will be on time to pick up your pet and will have a patient kind manner so they sense safely and comfortability. I am comfortable with crating your pet if needed and filling up food/water if needed.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Brighton
Tess looked after my puppy for me while I was at work this summer and I couldn’t think of a better person for the job! She was so communicative and detail oriented, took great notes on his eating and bathroom schedule. My roommates continuously commented on how sweet she was with him and how well he did with her! I couldn’t recommend her more!!

Amanda was punctual, communicative, and clear about what my dog Charlie was doing. Most important, she was sweet and kind to Charlie, giving her belly rubs and love. I appreciated her kind demeanor and how responsible she was in leaving everything the way I requested. I would request Amanda with enthusiasm next time I need someone to come walk and watch Charlie!
Ella was amazing to work with. She was super responsive and took excellent care of Blue. I loved how much feedback she gave in her rover cards. It was such a weight off my shoulders to know Blue was in good hands while I was away. I will definitely ask Ella to watch Blue again in the future.

Sydney is amazing!!! She has lots of experience working with dogs and it shows. Mine can be a bit rowdy at times but she had them sitting and calm within like a minute of being there! She’s super sweet and communicative as well. We would 100% use Sydney again. I had 0 concerns after meeting her and our experience was great!

It’s hard to tell who has more fun when Megan walks Clare! Today, they explored far beyond what I booked Megan to do. We ‘ve been relying on Megan for two walks each time we call on her, and she’s very responsible, considerate, and loving to Clare, always adding tummy rubs and topping off her food and water before she leaves.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
