“I’m so happy that I found Eddy and his amazing service! I was super nervous to leave my dog as I had never boarded him before, but I was sent countless pictures and updates on how he was doing and it made me feel so much better. I could tell he had so much fun by the way he has been sleeping all day upon his return. I would definitely recommend Eddy and will use his services again!”

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! We had the pleasure of leaving Max for the very first time in the care of Hyesoo , and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment we booked with Hyesoo she kept us updated with lots of pictures and videos, which made us feel at ease while we were away. Max came back happy, well cared for, and clearly enjoyed his time with her. We’ll definitely be using Hyesoo again in the future, and we highly recommend Hyesoo to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter!”

“Ann and her husband took incredible care of our dog. She sent updates and photos regularly while we were away. She was also very accommodating with the drop off and pick up schedule, and was able to accommodate a last minute schedule change. It’s clear that Ann and her husband are dog lovers and go and beyond in their care. We will definitely use them again!”

“Loveliest couple and some real dog pros. They were so good with my pup and shared tons of photos while we were away. We absolutely use them again and again.”

“Joseph took great care of my little Frenchie back in January. I had to change my plans quickly due to my pup going into heat super early and a few days before our trip. It was stressful to try and find someone quick that I could trust with my literal child but Joseph made it SO much easier even accommodating pick up and drop off. He sent me lot of picture updates and kept me well informed when she was having tummy issues (due to her heat). I tend to worry about my pup a lot due to her breed and the strict routine I have to make sure she is healthy (if you have a Frenchie you know lol).”

“Thank you so much, Michiko and Cliff, for taking such incredible care of our Suki while we were away. Your love, patience, understanding, and daily updates made all the difference and gave us complete peace of mind. We are truly grateful for everything you did, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 🙏🐾”

“Jing was an absolutely ideal sitter for our very active Vizsla pup. She sent adorable photos keeping us updated throughout the stay, and we could tell that she took such great care of her. We will definitely be asking her to watch our Korra again. Thank you so much Jing!”

“Grace and Andrew were so great with our pup! We got lots of photo updates, and it’s clear our lil guy was given lots of attention and care. We’ll definitely be booking with Grace and Andrew again in the future!”

“John is the best sitter we could ask for! Our dog loves him and he spoils her with affection and lots of walks. We have now trusted him with a short trip and now a much longer trip. He provides great updates and makes us feel at ease leaving our baby. I would recommend him to any dog owner!”

“François is an absolutely amazing individual with dogs. He has a really big yard, a patio and the woods nearby which kept my pupper happy. More so than that - this was the second time I’ve boarded him with François, and around this time my dog was too eager to go with him. He’ll emotionally invest into your dog, ask important questions and your dog will have fun! 10/10 recommend, and will come back.”

“Jennifer did an absolute amazing job with my big baby!! This was my first time leaving my pitbull with someone who’s not family or friends for a weekend. I was so nervous at first and Jennifer made me feel so comfortable with all of the updates over the weekend! I highly recommend her and can’t wait to use her again in the future! Top notch dog sitter”

“Kate instantly made myself and Louie feel welcome and comfortable for his weekend stay! She sent me pictures and updates each day and I could tell Louie was happy and well cared for when I picked him up. I will definitely book her for future stays and highly recommend her!”

“Our 2 dogs stayed with Nally for a week while we were away. She offered to meet us prior to the booking, which I took her up on since I don’t like to book blindly and we had never met. Her communications were always prompt and she sent pictures while we were away. She was very flexible with coordinating pick up and drop off. Both of my guys came back happy and tired! They were happy to have some other dogs to play with too. I would not hesitate to re-book with her.”

“We had such a great experience with Robert, Jen, and their lovely family! They took care of our King Charles Cavalier, Osler, for a week and treated him like one of their own. He was well-fed, taken out frequently for potty breaks, and we received thoughtful updates with photos 1–2 times a day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Their two daughters were so sweet with Osler, and he got along really well with their two friendly dogs. It was clear he had a wonderful time and felt right at home. We’re so grateful for the care and attention they gave him — we wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again!”

“Lincoln had a great time staying with Kira and her family! Lincoln was there for a long time and got lots of play and attention. Kira sent multiple updates daily so I knew he was in good hands. I would highly recommend Kira!”
“Thank you for taking care of Doodle -she’s not the easiest dog to handle but thank you for being so incredibly responsible, always on time, and cares for her well-being. I highly recommend Steven to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable pet sitter!”

“We had a great experience with Winn when he watched our dog, Sirius. He was really communicative and on top of everything, from the meet and greet to updates to drop-off/pick-up. He asked all the right questions to understand Sirius's needs and what would make Sirius feel most at home, and we felt really comfortable leaving Sirius with him. Sirius seemed to enjoy his time as well - we would definitely recommend Winn to others needing a dog sitter!”

“My English Bulldog, Bea Arthur, recently stayed with Michael for about 10 days due to my own medical emergency. I had boarded her locally after being admitted to the hospital and it quickly became clear my recovery would take a few weeks rather than a few days; Bea had stayed with Michael about a year ago for a weekend, when he was in his previous location and it went so well I hoped he could help me out. Within a few hours, we had a plan that included him picking her up in Boston and taking her back to his property in CT until I could take care of her again. It was such a relief knowing she was in his capable hands. Of course I missed her terribly, but I never worried for a minute about her time with Michael. He updated me daily with pictures and descriptions of her activities. If you are going on a vacation or have a personal issue you need to resolve, I give Michael the highest recommendation. The relief and peace of mind you will feel is better than you can imagine. Thanks, SK”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brighton
Eddy was fantastic! We knew from the initial meet and greet - one of our girls can be very hesitant to meet new people but he was patient and kind and spent time letting her get comfortable. Great communication, dependable, and tons of pics throughout their stay. Our girls came home happy and well cared for, and we appreciated the updates while we were away. Highly recommend and will definitely book again.
Kathy is such a wonderfully warm person and even though my dog is used to his space and alone time, I had no reservations about leaving him with her and the other pets in her home. She sent photos so I could stay up to date, and when I was sick on returning from my trip, she was so helpful in getting my dog back home. 100% recommend :D

Paige was fantastic taking care of Ellie. It was our first time leaving her and felt super comfortable with Paige immediately. We were sent pictures, videos, updates everyday which helped put our minds at ease. 10/10 experience and will certainly be rebooking again!

Mia was great with communication and took wonderful care of Winnie (Winnie is sweet and low energy, but she is a senior dog so needs different care than a younger dog). Lots of great pictures and updates put my mind at ease. I’d be happy to book with Mia & Taowei again

Arman and his partner made my dog feel right at home immediately. My dog has several behavioral and health issues, including separation anxiety, aggression, IBD and IVDD, but they were able to cater to all her needs, including changing their schedules around so that she wouldn’t have to be alone. They’re so compassionate and love dogs, and they’re intelligent, communicative, meticulous, and so thoughtful.

Junho might be the best sitter in the North Cambridge area. When it comes to caring for your dog, the most important aspect is genuine love and care. You can tell that your dog is having a blast by checking the constant photos and live updates from Junho. As you can see from those photos, it's easy to tell how much love my dog was given during this stay. Furthermore, Junho was really flexible in fitting my schedule, which was out of the ordinary due to having a baby. If you need someone to take care of your dog, it's Junho

Leah and Lex were wonderful! They coordinated with my other dog sitter for the drop-off because I had to hire 2 dog sitters during my long stay for scheduling reasons. I was stressed about it but they made sure the transition was seamless. Ladoo had a great time at both places.

Rida was an amazing sitter. She and her partner took incredible care of my cat while I was away for 2.5 weeks. Rida was always quick to respond, and the daily updates/photos gave me so much peace of mind. My cat is usually a bit shy, but it was obvious how comfortable he became with them. Next time I need a sitter, they’ll be the first people I reach out to.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
