“Michaela was wonderful with Jerry while I was away for about ten days over Thanksgiving. Her mom, Carmen, handled pickup and drop-off and was incredibly kind and clearly loves dogs. Their home is warm and welcoming, and I felt comfortable right away after meeting them at drop-off. I received updates every couple of days with photos and videos, which made it easy to relax while I was away. Pickup and drop-off were smooth, communication was great, and Jerry came home happy. He may still miss Carmen a little. I would absolutely book with Michaela again.”

“Nally and her husband take amazing care of my anxious, reserved little dog. They send regular pics / video updates and take the dogs on multiple unique, exciting walks everyday, play with them and show them affection. We are so grateful for Nally’s service!”

“Melodi is amazing! My 7-month-old Mini Aussie came back home so happy after spending 5 days at Melodi's. She is super flexible, communication with her is super easy and she definitely knows how to take care of our little friends! This was the first time I was leaving him and she made sure I had regular updates and send a ton of pictures - I really appreciated it. I will recommend her a lot and will definitely use her services again! Thank you Melodi!”

“This is the second time we have Monet at Marissa’s place. She took a great care of Monet. And from Marissa’s photos, we could tell that Monet was enjoying the stay so much! Thank you!”

“Alan and Ying took care of our dog like their own. From drop off to pickup everything was smooth and easy to communicate. We were updated daily with messages, photos and videos. We cannot be more then happy and will definitely leave our dog with them again.”

“Brooklyn watched our Sydney for a quick overnight. She was very kind and responsive. Very accommodating of our pup's schedule and needs. We felt very at ease knowing she was in good hands”

“Anna watched my 11 year old pup Jersey while we went out of town for a few days. She helped me get very comfortable by sending frequent photos and videos with updates. She even went to pick up food after discovering I hadn’t packed quite enough for his extended stay. I will definitely be back and highly recommend. Thanks for taking such great care of my boy!”

“Great experience! Joseph was awesome, he went above and beyond, to ensure my great dane was well cared for while we were out of town visiting family. Joseph kept us updated with messages and pictures. Once again, thank you for taking care of our child ? in our home - we wouldn't have found a better dog sitter! We definitely will use Joseph again in the future. ?”

“Izzy was absolutely amazing! My dog has anxiety and is reactive with other dogs but she was great with him. She kept me updated on how he was doing and any issues he had. She took wonderful care of Wally and I’ll absolutely be using her in the future. Genuinely my only complaint is that she doesn’t charge enough for the great service she gives!”

“Gina did a wonderful job taking care of Theo! I appreciated her communication and updates! It made me so happy to so see that Theo was content and comfortable with her.”

“Sydney and her partner took great care of our dog, Giuseppe. She was willing to do a meet up before the visit to go over his routine and asked thoughtful questions about his temperament to set the visit up for success. She was quick to respond to any inquiries on how he was doing and flexible with pick up/drop off. Highly recommend.”

“Our dog, Marty, loves staying with Michael! Michael is excellent about communication and keeping us posted with photos and updates, which we always appreciate. It’s such a relief to be able to “board” our dog and know that he’s basically on a vacation of his own. He comes back happy and tuckered out, and runs to Michael with excitement when he sees him. Would highly recommend!”

“Katherine was amazing! We got to set up a meeting beforehand and she was very open to everything and responsive! Our dog, Lena, is a very shy girl around new people, but she warmed up to Katherine super quick! We got plenty of pictures/updates during the stay and will definitely be going back!”

“Big thanks to Robert and Jen for taking care of Cheerio over the weekend. They are very kind hosts and love dogs. They sent photos of Cheerio playing, walking, chilling, we were so happy during our trip that he had lots of fun at Robert's home. We will come back for sure.”

I couldn’t be happier with the service Hyesoo provided to my dog Randy. If I could give her 6 stars, I would do that! Hyesoo took care of Randy as he was her own dog. She updated me daily with pictures and videos and added always a nice message to reassure me Randy was doing well. I highly recommend her and I will definitely use her dog sitting services again in the future.
Sunil took wonderful care of our dog, Brownie, while we were away\. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and treated Brownie like one of her own\. She made sure Brownie got plenty of walks and even cooked chicken for her dinner, which was such a thoughtful touch\. Throughout our time away, Sunil kept us updated with messages and photos, giving us complete peace of mind knowing Brownie was happy and well cared for\. I truly appreciated her communication, compassion, and dedication\. I would highly recommend Sunil to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter\. We will definitely use her again\!
Hannah is a repeat dog sitter for us. We trust that she will always take good care of our dog. She called when he was scared and shaking, and we were able to determine what was triggering his issue (not anything Hannah did) so I feel she is very responsible when something unexpected happens.

Eddy was fantastic! We knew from the initial meet and greet - one of our girls can be very hesitant to meet new people but he was patient and kind and spent time letting her get comfortable. Great communication, dependable, and tons of pics throughout their stay. Our girls came home happy and well cared for, and we appreciated the updates while we were away. Highly recommend and will definitely book again.
Paige was fantastic taking care of Ellie. It was our first time leaving her and felt super comfortable with Paige immediately. We were sent pictures, videos, updates everyday which helped put our minds at ease. 10/10 experience and will certainly be rebooking again!

Caroline, her dog Butterscotch, and their family took great care of my dog Bao Bao. He’s a shy, slightly nervous fellow and it was his first time boarding without his late big sister, but he had a lovely time. Caroline sent photos and updates daily. I’m really glad Bao got to stay with a nice family with a dog and a yard instead of some mass boarding setup. We will definitely check with Caroline before any other sitters in the future!

Arman and his partner made my dog feel right at home immediately. My dog has several behavioral and health issues, including separation anxiety, aggression, IBD and IVDD, but they were able to cater to all her needs, including changing their schedules around so that she wouldn’t have to be alone. They’re so compassionate and love dogs, and they’re intelligent, communicative, meticulous, and so thoughtful.

Junho might be the best sitter in the North Cambridge area. When it comes to caring for your dog, the most important aspect is genuine love and care. You can tell that your dog is having a blast by checking the constant photos and live updates from Junho. As you can see from those photos, it's easy to tell how much love my dog was given during this stay. Furthermore, Junho was really flexible in fitting my schedule, which was out of the ordinary due to having a baby. If you need someone to take care of your dog, it's Junho

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
