“Jennifer did an absolute amazing job with my big baby!! This was my first time leaving my pitbull with someone who’s not family or friends for a weekend. I was so nervous at first and Jennifer made me feel so comfortable with all of the updates over the weekend! I highly recommend her and can’t wait to use her again in the future! Top notch dog sitter”

“Isabella was extremely responsive and communicative! She took on a tall task of watching after not only my dog, Muzzy, but 3 other dogs simultaneously, all while also taking care of her baby. Isabella kept us updated with videos throughout the day. I would definitely ask Isabella to care for Muzzy again in the future.”

“We chose Stefan and his family for our dog's first stay through Rover.com and couldn't have been happier. Stefan was extremely responsive, and he and his sons took great care of our dog Otis while we were away for the weekend. They sent us pictures of Otis throughout the stay and we can tell they really gave him a lot of time, love, and attention while he was with them. We'll definitely plan to request Stefan's help again!”

“We had a great experience with Elizabeth and Rodrigo! There was daily communication as well as photo updates — our dog looked right at home! We had total peace of mind while we were away. Murphy already can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!”

“Lincoln had a great time staying with Kira and her family! Lincoln was there for a long time and got lots of play and attention. Kira sent multiple updates daily so I knew he was in good hands. I would highly recommend Kira!”
“Ashley and her family were lovely and warm and we felt immediately comfortable leaving our dog. He got along well with their dog and I could tell he was also very comfortable in their home. My pup is a high energy dog, not for everyone, but I really appreciated how Ashley seemed to like him for who it is and enjoyed the crazy parts of his personality! He came back to us in perfect health and happiness. So lucky to find her and we’ll definitely be bringing our dog back - if we can get on her calendar!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, especially dogs. I grew up with a family dog for 15 years and was always surrounded by dogs through friends and extended family, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. I have hands on experience with daily care, potty training, and understanding dog behavior, and I’m confident handling everything from high energy pups to more relaxed, older dogs. While my background is primarily with dogs, I bring that same attentiveness, patience, and reliability to caring for cats, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their own space. Pet care fits well into my daily routine. I work a standard eight hour day, so pets would have some alone time during work hours. Before and after work, I make sure they get plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care. I also have roommates who can help with a midday check in or let pets out if needed, which helps break up the day. I’m very mindful of keeping pets comfortable, sticking to their routines, and making sure they feel cared for even on a work schedule. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities, and I adjust my approach based on the environment. In my own home, I make sure the space is clean, pet safe, and free of anything they could get into. I keep a consistent routine for feeding, walks, and playtime so pets feel settled and comfortable. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, routines, and any specific preferences. I make sure pets stay in secure areas, keep doors and gates closed, and maintain a calm, familiar environment. I also pay close attention to behavior and energy levels to make sure each pet feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for.

“Izzy was absolutely amazing! My dog has anxiety and is reactive with other dogs but she was great with him. She kept me updated on how he was doing and any issues he had. She took wonderful care of Wally and I’ll absolutely be using her in the future. Genuinely my only complaint is that she doesn’t charge enough for the great service she gives!”

“Paul is just the best. Very communicative and makes pick up & drop off super easy. Love the frequent picture updates of our dog’s staycations. Gives us peace of mind that Thomas is getting constant care and attention when we’re out of town. Thankful to have found Paul on Rover and I know Thomas is, too! Highly recommend.”
“Cindy was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Bear! She was able to accommodate a last-minute request, which we really appreciated. Throughout his stay, she sent daily updates with photos and videos so we always knew how he was doing, and she responded quickly to all of my messages. It was clear that she genuinely cared about him and spent lots of time giving him attention and snuggles. Bear was very well cared for, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was with her. We will definitely be reaching out to Cindy again in the future and would highly recommend both her and her brother to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

“Yi was fabulous! She took great care of our ragdoll kitten, Pudding. She is incredibly responsive and sends multiple pictures and videos every day. I would highly recommend her and look forward to booking again in the future!”

“Jo and Adam did an incredible job taking care of our dog. They were great about communicating and sending plenty of pictures while they watched our puppy. We absolutely plan to use Jo and Adam again in the future.”

“Ismael is great with all kinds of dogs. He took very good care of coco while we were out for a week. He shared lot of pictures daily and made sure coco gets very good attention especially with his food habits and allergies. Coco had a lot of fun all the dogs and bonded very well with Ismael Justin a week. We are very thankful and would surely use Ismaels help in future.”

“Charlie had a great stay with Christina! I was nervous leaving Charlie and Christina sent photos throughout the stay so I could see what she was up to. Charlie had lots of walkies and snuggles and enjoyed her visit.”

“Leo came back happy from his stay with Em and Robert! They were so friendly and listened to all the requests and quirks that Leo has. They were also flexible with drop off and pick up time. I would absolutely recommend!”

“Yulia and her family took very good care of Skye. We are sure that Skye received lots of love and attention. Yulia updated us with some lovely pictures. Thank you so much for taking good care of Skye. See you soon, again!”

Eddy was fantastic! We knew from the initial meet and greet - one of our girls can be very hesitant to meet new people but he was patient and kind and spent time letting her get comfortable. Great communication, dependable, and tons of pics throughout their stay. Our girls came home happy and well cared for, and we appreciated the updates while we were away. Highly recommend and will definitely book again.
Kathy is such a wonderfully warm person and even though my dog is used to his space and alone time, I had no reservations about leaving him with her and the other pets in her home. She sent photos so I could stay up to date, and when I was sick on returning from my trip, she was so helpful in getting my dog back home. 100% recommend :D

Paige was fantastic taking care of Ellie. It was our first time leaving her and felt super comfortable with Paige immediately. We were sent pictures, videos, updates everyday which helped put our minds at ease. 10/10 experience and will certainly be rebooking again!

Izzy was absolutely amazing! My dog has anxiety and is reactive with other dogs but she was great with him. She kept me updated on how he was doing and any issues he had. She took wonderful care of Wally and I’ll absolutely be using her in the future. Genuinely my only complaint is that she doesn’t charge enough for the great service she gives!

Margaret took great care of Tatum while we were abroad, and we really appreciated knowing he was in good hands. Tatum looked happy, relaxed, and well cared for when we picked him up. Margaret is kind and has a calm personality. She isn't someone who sends frequent updates on her own, but whenever we reached out, she always responded promptly and sent photo. Every picture showed Tatum looking happy and content, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We're grateful for the care Margaret gave Tatum and would happily book with her again. Thank you, Margaret!

Katherine was amazing! We got to set up a meeting beforehand and she was very open to everything and responsive! Our dog, Lena, is a very shy girl around new people, but she warmed up to Katherine super quick! We got plenty of pictures/updates during the stay and will definitely be going back!

Arman and his partner made my dog feel right at home immediately. My dog has several behavioral and health issues, including separation anxiety, aggression, IBD and IVDD, but they were able to cater to all her needs, including changing their schedules around so that she wouldn’t have to be alone. They’re so compassionate and love dogs, and they’re intelligent, communicative, meticulous, and so thoughtful.

Junho might be the best sitter in the North Cambridge area. When it comes to caring for your dog, the most important aspect is genuine love and care. You can tell that your dog is having a blast by checking the constant photos and live updates from Junho. As you can see from those photos, it's easy to tell how much love my dog was given during this stay. Furthermore, Junho was really flexible in fitting my schedule, which was out of the ordinary due to having a baby. If you need someone to take care of your dog, it's Junho

Leah and Lex were wonderful! They coordinated with my other dog sitter for the drop-off because I had to hire 2 dog sitters during my long stay for scheduling reasons. I was stressed about it but they made sure the transition was seamless. Ladoo had a great time at both places.

Our 9 year old pit bull mix lived with Anneta for 10 days while we were away on vacation. Anneta sent us photos and videos everyday and did a wonderful job taking care of our dog. I was a little nervous because our dog can be aggressive towards other dogs and is also quite strong. Anneta handled her with ease and our dog loved Anneta. Anneta was very responsive, reliable and loving. I would not hesitate to hire Anneta again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
