“Vista had so much fun during daycare with Junho and Boki! Junho was very communicative of how Vista was doing, making sure she had everything she needed to enjoy her days, from her food, to play and outside time. It is clear that he truly loves dogs and I would recommend him to anyone looking for someone with a kind heart to care for their pet.”

He is a great dogsitter and I can tell Miso loves going to daycare ☺️ I would highly recommend Arman to anyone looking for a good dogsitter. Thanks!!”

About: I'd love to welcome your dog into our family (with 2 kids, ages 9 and 12) for daytime visits or overnight stays. I am working primarily from home, my calm Beagle-Mini Pin mix Sarah—affectionately called "the meagle"—enjoys having canine companions! With a lifetime of dog ownership experience, I'll ensure your pet receives expert care and plenty of entertainment, including regular walks in our nearby park. Whether you need daytime hosting, walking services, or overnight care, I'm happy to help. I am working primarily from my home office, so I will be available to walk, play with, and keep your dog company throughout the day. I provide at least three daily walks on a nearby walking path, plus additional indoor and supervised backyard play time (on leash, as our yard is unfenced).
“Shuhua took very good care of my dog pepper while I was moving apartments. My chi was instantly in love with Shuhua and you can tell that she cares about your pets too. Will definitely be rebooking in the future!”

“Adrienne took great care of Quin for daycare. Many walks throughout the day as well as updates and pictures. Followed care instructions closely. Will have her care for him again!”

“My dog Bojji had such a great time! He was taken care of so well and he had so much fun he didn’t want to leave. He had so much fun he was wonderfully tired and went into a deep sleep when we came home!”

“Cardinal had so much fun at his small-dog play date!! I appreciated that Betsy took time for a thoughtful meet and greet so that I was sure he would feel comfortable! I was very happy that he could enjoy time outside of his crate with other dogs in a warm and caring environment! Will definitely book again!!”

“Emma took such great care of Arya and she was so happy with her stay! Emma sent updates and pictures to me of my baby girl and kept me updated with any changes. I would definitely recommend her!”

About: Use my Promo code IZZYG96950 to get $40 off your first booking! I’ve always loved dogs 😁. I like to think I’m very reliable and genuinely care. I’m careful, gentle, and always caring (I don’t believe in harsh discipline.) I have experience with anxious dogs and I like to think I’m good at helping dogs with it. I myself have some anxiety 😂, so I get it. I’m open and flexible to accommodate whatever you or your dog needs. I’m also well versed in dog speak, so I’m able to know what your dog is trying to tell me from its body language 😋. I always keep my schedule up to date so you know when I’m available 😄. I’m also getting my qualification for dog training! So soon I’ll be able to train your dog if you’re looking to do that 😉. I’m very flexible with time. I’m free all day every day with a few in person/zoom appointments some days 😁. For the rare times I’m not home, my nanny is! (And she of course loves dogs. She has 2 of her own 😁.) She works 7am-4 or 5pm. So if I’m out in those hours there will be times where the dog will be alone for a few hours but I try to keep it no more than that 😊. You’ll let me know what your dog needs. My house: I have a big house/nice big unfenced yard I can walk the dog around on leash, and a small portion of the yard fenced to let them out. I’ve decided for (kind of arbitrary unrealistic anxious 😆) safety reasons, even though it connects from a doggy door and is completely closed off, I’m always gonna be out there with the dog just to make sure everything’s cool. The fence (real/wooden not electric) is totally stable, and I just put rocks in places that I wanted extra coverage 😊, so your dog is absolutely not getting out 😂. All of my neighbors have dogs. They’re all fenced/electric fenced in and very well behaved. Except there’s one down the hill that barks sometimes but usually it’s quiet enough you can’t hear it. She a sweetheart her name is Sparky 😁. If your dog has trouble with other dogs I’ll make extra sure to stay away from that house. When I walk the dogs up my hill it’s the other direction anyways. There are also no cats around. There are a ton of bunnies and squirrels and stuff but I’m strong enough with dogs to hold them back I’ve never had a problem. I have experience with/know how to handle strong dogs💪. Walking: There are a ton of woods/paths right next to my house, you can look around on the map for yourself. Some places I love to walk are Audubon, Hay road, and Snake hill (it’s just a name don’t worry 😅.) Supplies: While I’m walking a dog I carry poop baggies, water and a water bowl, and a ball/toys (even though I never let the dog off the leash when we’re out on a walk.) When I board or doggy day care I use the same things. I have other dog supplies too like bathing stuff, a leash, food/food bowls etc in case you forget your stuff 😁.
About: Hello! My name is Natsuko and I live in Watertown with my fiancée Carson and dog Luna. I’ve lived with and cared for dogs since I was very young, and I’ve gained lots experience with dogs with a wide range of personalities and needs. I’m comfortable with puppy care, including basic leash manners and crate training, and I focus on consistency and positive reinforcement so dogs feel secure while learning. I’ve also lived with dogs who have anxiety or past trauma, and have experience slowly building trust and bonds. I am currently a remote freelancer and this set up gives me great flexibility to spend quality time with my dog Luna during my workday. She LOVES other doggos and would love to play with and go on walks with a new friend! We typically go on short pee breaks once every three hours and go on two long walks every day. My schedule is very flexible so I am confident I can accommodate for the bathroom/walk/eating schedules of any dog in my care. We live in a very walkable neighborhood in Watertown with the Fresh Pond loop a quick walk away! There are many options to take dogs out for a short or long walk. In our home, we have nice open spaces for dogs to play with each other and with toys. Since we have a dog of our own, we have dog proofed our whole home. Our dog Luna loves playing with other dogs and has had no issues with socializing. If a dog in my care needs a break from playtime or gets overstimulated, we have options to separate the dogs if needed since Luna is crate trained and we have many rooms for the dogs to use.
“Banapsha and Sid were so wonderful with me and Zephyr. I had a last minute request for daycare and they were willing to take us on short notice.. They really went the extra mile to make sure my pup was well taken care of. Banapsha was so kind to keep me updated every few hours with pictures and updates of Zeph. Zeph looked like he had a blast the entire time playing ball and tug. I'm definitely a bit of a helicopter mom when it comes to my pup and Banapsha was up to do a meet and greet beforehand so as to put me at ease since this was our first time together. She asked tons of questions and really took the time to take note of my pups quirks. I could really tell how much she absolutely loved pups and how well Zeph took to her when we met. So so grateful to have found someone I can trust to take care of my pup when I'm away. Ill definitely be back again soon!!!!”
“She is an amazing sitter! She gave frequent updates throughout the day, and really appreciated that she went above and beyond by sending a lot of pictures. Also, I really appreciate her flexibility. If you’re in Boston, highly recommend her as your pet sitter. Go Greta (and Juniper)! 🫶✨”

“I could not be happier with Maria and Caesar. My dog, Gary, can be a nervous little guy but by day 2, he was already happy to see Caesar at drop off and Caesar was excited to see him too! Maria sends me pictures and updates every day Gary is with them which gives me peace of mind while I’m at work. They’ve been really flexible with drop off and pick up times and have even accepted last minute bookings. I can’t say enough good things about Maria and Caesar and if Gary could talk, I’m sure he would say the same.”

About: A lot of my experience comes from caring for my girlfriend's two dogs, who are basically my two best friends—a Japanese Chin and a Lhasa-Poo. Whenever her parents are out of town, I'm usually the one taking care of them. We've even watched them for weeks at a time while their family was traveling, so I'm comfortable with everything from feeding and walks to playtime, keeping them on their routine, and making sure they get plenty of attention. I've also known our Lhasa-Poo since she was a puppy. When she first came home, my girlfriend and I spent that entire first week with her, helping her adjust to a new environment, keeping her company at night, and making sure she felt safe and comfortable. More than anything, I'm just a huge dog lover. Whenever I go back home to India, I spend a lot of my time hanging out with the neighborhood stray dogs. They've become part of my visits home. I know every dog is different, and my goal is always to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I'll care for your dog the same way I care for the dogs in my own life: with lots of attention, affection, and plenty of updates so you know they're doing well. I work from home, so I'm around throughout the day and have a very flexible schedule. That means I can take dogs out for regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and make sure they're never left alone for long. I love staying active, so I'm always happy to fit in extra walks or outdoor time if your pup enjoys it. I also welcome boarding on most weekends, unless I'm out of town, which isn't very often. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, gets plenty of attention, and sticks to their normal routine while you're away. I live in a very dog-friendly apartment, and I'm very used to sharing my space with dogs. I help care for my girlfriend's two pups regularly, so having dogs around the house is something I'm completely comfortable with. In my home, dogs are welcome to roam freely and make themselves at home—they're welcome on the couch and in any room unless you have different rules you'd like me to follow. I know every dog has their own routine, so I'm happy to stick to whatever they're used to, whether that's crate training, scheduled feeding times, or specific walking routines. Once again, my goal is to make your dog feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you're away.

My girl Petunia always has a great time at Jun Ho's!! He takes wonderful care of her, and treats her like he treats his own dog, Boki (including giving her some fresh chicken at mealtime). I would recommend Jun Ho to anyone - we're lucky to have such a wonderful dog sitter we trust and count on.

Laine took great care of Chloe during her doggy daycare stay! We really appreciated the chance to meet beforehand, which gave us confidence that Chloe would be in good hands. Laine also kept us updated throughout, and it was clear Chloe had a great time. We’d definitely book with Laine again and highly recommend her!

Susan was able to watch Max on short notice, responded to me super quickly when I submitted the request, and took wonderful care of Max! She sent me pictures throughout the day and my mind was at ease knowing he was having a great time. It is so comforting knowing he was well taken care of!! Thanks so much Susan!

I had a wonderful experience with Jina and her husband! This was my first time using a pet sitter since moving to the U.S., so I was quite nervous. They responded to all of my questions very quickly and proactively kept me updated on how Shong was doing, along with sending photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that Shong felt comfortable and had a great time with them. I truly appreciated their kindness, attentiveness, and communication throughout the entire experience. I will definitely choose them again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring and reliable pet sitters.

Mia was absolutely wonderful with our 8 week old puppy ❤️ She took such great care of him and made the whole experience completely stress-free despite an early morning drop off. She kept us updated all throughout the day with regular check-ins and adorable photos, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was happy and well cared for. She was great a responded in a timely manner as well. She was also incredibly flexible with pick-up time, which we really appreciated 😌!! Mia is kind, communicative, and genuinely caring, and it was obvious that she treated our puppy like one of her own. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be booking with her again. I highly recommend Mia to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate Rover sitter 🐾💕

This was our first time using Eddy, and after a meet and greet we felt comfortable with him instantly. Winnie had the absolute best time — running around the fenced-in yard with the other dogs and truly living his best life. Eddy was incredibly communicative throughout the stay and sent us plenty of photos, and Winnie was smiling in every single one. It made us so happy knowing Winnie was happy, well-fed, and being so well cared for while he was there. The complimentary pick-up and drop-off was also so appreciated and made everything incredibly easy. Eddy made us feel completely comfortable from start to finish, and we wouldn’t hesitate to use him again. Highly recommend!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Watertown commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
