“Meichen and Tyler took a great care of my slightly senior dog while we were on our vacation. She sent daily updates and kept me up to date of all the walks and activities. At the start our dog had a few accidents due to her being nervous, but they were super understanding. Another thing is that Meichen is super super responsive! I really appreciate their care for our dog.”

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life. I got my first dog when I was 10, and I’ve always had cats growing up. Over the years, I’ve cared for friends’ dogs while they were away or needed occasional help, and I even took in a friend’s Husky for an extended period. I enjoy going on walks and have a great walking path right next to my apartment, so your dog will get plenty of exercise and attention. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I am a high school dean throughout the school year and am on break all summer! I will be home for the next few weeks and can be completely dedicated to your pet! Once the school years starts I am back home by 3:30pm and stay home for the most part. I live alone in a quiet, pet-friendly apartment with no children or other pets, so your pet will have my full attention in a calm, safe environment. My home is cozy and secure, making it a comfortable place for pets to relax. I always follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions you provide. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with respect and make sure their pets feel comfortable by keeping their routine as consistent as possible.
“Bridget was great! We appreciated the updates and photos while we were away—they gave us complete confidence that Willow was in excellent hands. Bridget was a prompt and clear communicator, and her attentiveness to our dog’s needs was genuinely appreciated. We would be delighted to work with her again!”

“We had a great experience with Elizabeth and Rodrigo! There was daily communication as well as photo updates — our dog looked right at home! We had total peace of mind while we were away. Murphy already can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!”

“Paul is just the best. He is always the first person whose availability we check when we are traveling. All three of our dogs have loved going to Paul's for a staycation while we are out of town. We get frequent updates throughout their stay and the pups come back to us happy and healthy. You can tell how much Paul cares about animals and how intentional he is in making sure their every need is met. I cannot recommend highly enough! Would give 6 stars if it were possible.”

“Belinda was wonderful with our furbaby and sent us an update each day. She was very accessible by text and easy to communicate with. Our dog got along well with her dog, Sloane, who is a sweetie. Also, she has the perfect fenced in yard for the dogs to play! We will certainly work with Belinda again!”

“Pamela was a fantastic caregiver for our dog, Elke. I got regular updates and photos while we were away. She even went the extra mile and replaced a harness that Elke chewed when there was a severe thunder storm! I would highly recommend her!”
“Kathryn was amazing with our dog Freya! She was friendly and flexible, which made everything easy from start to finish. Freya immediately felt comfortable with her and it felt like I was just dropping her off at a friends house for the weekend. We got updates throughout the weekend and could tell Freya was happy and well cared for. Highly recommend Kathryn to anyone looking for a warm, reliable sitter!”

“Coco had a great time with Su and enjoyed her vacation at his house. Su kept us updated daily and honestly I don’t think Coco wants to come home with us at the end of the week. Su is totally trust worthy and easy to work with. I won’t be looking for any other sitter to leave my daughter with but him! Thank you for being so loving and caring to Coco!”

“Kaisi was AMAZING! So communicative and she took extraordinary care of our high-energy dog. She brought him to parks nearly every day! And she took so many lovely pictures of our pup. Can’t wait for Kaisi to take care of our dog again soon.”

“Digger is a repeat visitor to Emily and Robert’s and I’m not so sure he wanted to leave this time! Thanks for a wonderful stay- we’re happy to have reliable local care for our pup.”

“Ismael was kind and communicative and sent some pictures. Our energetic dog got to play with other dogs which he loves to do but doesn't get to do much of with us. He came back tuckered and happy. Highly recommend.”
“Kenna did a great job at looking over Chico for a weekend! Chico is a bit antisocial and can be a little standoff-ish with other pups but Kenna handled him well! 10/10 Just book!!”

“We really appreciate and trust Ashley! She takes such good care of our pup. This time, Boone unfortunately had some sensitive stomach issues when we left him, we felt so badly but she was so communicative and took such good care of him! Your pup will be in excellent and loving hands with her.”

“Shuhua is such an amazing dog sitter. She treats my dog with such care and love, send me tons of pictures and updates, that I feel completely stress free when I’m traveling. My dog is in great hands!!! Maybe better hands than mine! :)”

“Maeve greets Leo like he is her family member! He happily runs in and is at home immediately. She texts me photos every day and is accomodating when my drop off and pick up times are in flux. Great dog sitter!”

“We had great experience with Nalix dog sitting our 14 year old Shitzu. Nalix took great care of our dog, keeping daily communication and pictures. She even put booties on her when it snowed so she’d feel more comfortable going on walks. We highly recommend Nalix for your next vacation.”

“Isabella did a great job in minding Marvin and Mellow. My cats are usually nervous at first, but settled down really well throughout their stay. She kept us in the loop with loads of photos and videos. By the end, our cats were content and I would definitely book her again!”

Jingjing was a fantastic dog sitter! I used her for the first time and I will 100% be using her for my next trip. She is very experienced with dogs of all sizes and has a great large fenced in yard which my high energy little guy loved to run around in. Jingjing was very responsive and sent daily pics which helped put my mind at ease! I give her the highest marks for recommendation!

Katherine was amazing! We got to set up a meeting beforehand and she was very open to everything and responsive! Our dog, Lena, is a very shy girl around new people, but she warmed up to Katherine super quick! We got plenty of pictures/updates during the stay and will definitely be going back!

Junho might be the best sitter in the North Cambridge area. When it comes to caring for your dog, the most important aspect is genuine love and care. You can tell that your dog is having a blast by checking the constant photos and live updates from Junho. As you can see from those photos, it's easy to tell how much love my dog was given during this stay. Furthermore, Junho was really flexible in fitting my schedule, which was out of the ordinary due to having a baby. If you need someone to take care of your dog, it's Junho

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
