“Paul has watched our pups many times over the past few months. He always keeps us in the loop about their days and we love receiving picture updates! They always seems happy (and tired!) when they come back home : )”

“Julie did an amazing job taking care of our cat, Cal! He is usually shy and fearful of strangers, but she was incredibly patient with him and soon coaxed him out of his shell. Julie also did a great job of sending us a constant stream of pictures and updates. I highly recommend her!”

“Kathy was so accommodating and responsive! And she sent pictures of Frankie all day long to keep us posted. It was Frankie’s first experience in a house with cats so we were a bit worried, but everything worked out great and all the animals lived in harmony. We will definitely book again!”

About: I have been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old and have always been surrounded by them. Growing up with dogs, I understand their needs, behaviors, and how to make them feel comfortable and loved. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs needing extra care. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate pet care throughout the day. Whether it’s morning walks or midday check-ins. I can adjust to meet your pet’s needs. Weekends and weekdays are both available. I provide a safe, comfortable, and pet-friendly environment where dogs can feel at home. I make sure they have plenty of space to relax, play, and follow their usual routine. I prioritize their safety by keeping a clean and secure space, always supervising playtime, and ensuring they get the care and attention they need.
“Guillermo was awesome. He was flexible with our drop off and pick up times, sent us plenty of updates and our pup came home exhausted from his stay (the best possible outcome!). I would totally book with him again.”

“Sean was an awesome sitter! My dog has built up some fear around meeting other dogs, but Sean was patient and watchful when introducing our dogs. He made sure Opal was comfortable and introduced his two dogs one at a time. During Opal’s stay, Sean was consistent about sending pictures and/or videos which put my mind at ease while I was away. By the end of the trip, Opal had become best friends with Sean’s puppy! I’m so thankful for his patience, knowledge of how dogs may act if they have some PTSD when meeting new dogs, and for his willingness to keep Opal well exercised. I highly recommend booking with him!”

“Pamela and Yocheved were amazing with Susie. They provided excellent care, spoiled her, and provided notes and observations about her when I came to pick her up. They were amazing. 10/10.”

“The Whitney family welcomed Koyuki with open hearts and treated her like a member of their own family. They took wonderful care of her and kept us constantly updated on how she was doing, which allowed us to enjoy our trip with complete peace of mind. We would absolutely love to ask the Whitney family to take care of Koyuki again in the future.Thank you so much!!”

“Mars had a wonderful time with Ann & Jim! They sent lots of photos, took him on adventures at the fells and walks featuring lots of fetch! He was happy to be there and came home tired and happy 🤗”

“Elizabeth and Rodrigo took amazing care of our dog while we were away for 6 days. He’s getting older and can be a little anxious, but he was totally comfortable in their home. They sent us tons of photos too, which we loved since we missed him. I’d absolutely recommend them as dog sitters.”

“Adonis was with Julie for a 2 week stay and had a blast! He quickly settled into her house and almost immediately took ownership of protecting her from all squirrels and other animals outside the house. He loves to play and Julie was awesome about sending us pictures of his stay with her. She was great with his food and even went the extra mile to feed him alternate food when he was not eating one day. Adonis bonded with Julie and we would love to have him stay with her again!”

“Our dog Gus has stayed with Sue many times and he absolutely adores her! Almost as much as we do :) She is amazing with him and we always know he’s in great hands when he spends time at her house.”
“Bridget was fabulous. Blue had some digestive issues. We communicated with Bridget ahead of time and she was extremely supportive and helpful. She administered new food and medicine while Blue was there. She is an absolute pro and awesome to work with!”

“Meichen & Tyler are fantastic and did a great job of taking care of our Frenchie. Lots of updates, walks in the park, and great communication make them super easy to work with and we appreciated all their help.”

“Mimi and her family were wonderful!!! So accommodating, relaxed, professional. They were the first people we’ve ever left him with and we didn’t worry once! Mimi sent us so many pictures so we were constantly reassured of his happiness and wellbeing. Thank you so much!!!”

“Jing has watchedy dog multiple times in the past few months. My dog absolutely loves staying with her. She gets tons of exercise, plenty of time outdoors, and gets along great with Jing's dogs. Jing has also been especially helpful when I was dealing with travel delays by being both flexible and assuring me my dog was taken care of”

“Kevin was an incredible Rover sitter to board my dog with. He accommodated us last minute and had more organized systems than anyone I've ever boarded with on this site. He sent detailed reports every day about my dog's day with great pictures - I was showing these reports to everyone I was with for my entire trip! I could tell my Meri was in good hands with him. She was exhausted after I picked her up - always a good sign. And his dog is very quirky and sweet. They have a good setup lifestyle and house-wise. Definitely recommend Kevin as an intentional and detail-oriented dog walker.”

“Miranda is great! She responded to my request very promptly and communicated clearly. The drop off and pick up went smoothly. I was very happy to receive photos of Snoopy daily. The most important thing is snoopy was very well cared for. Thank you!!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Waltham
Sean is the best! I was boarding my 1 year old dog for the first time, and Sean made me feel so comfortable leaving her with him. He updated me the whole weekend with photos and videos of her having so much fun with the other dogs. My dog came down with an ear infection a few days before her stay with Sean, and she required ear drops during her stay, and he had no problem providing her with extra care and attention. I am so grateful to have found Sean, and I will definitely be using him in the future for both daycare and boarding!

Holly took great care of my dog Koda! She was very sweet, understanding, and patient. I could tell she has experience catering the different dogs needs and personalities, and has the ability to accommodate them and make them comfortable. Koda is a little anxious, and I think she did great with him and made us both very comfortable! She was also very flexible when I realized I was arriving from my trip a little later than expected. Overall great experience, thank you Holly!

My dog stayed with Sam and his fiancée Morgane for a 2.5-week stay and I can't recommend or thank them enough. Right before the stay my dog had a Lyme's disease flare up which required rest and medication. I was nervous about leaving him for so long while sick, but felt at ease during drop-off when Sam assured me it was no big deal. They sent me lots of updates (including videos of how Ozzie was doing) and made sure I had the communication I needed/wanted, and that Ozzie got all his meds. They were both so easy to coordinate pickup/drop off with, and Ozzie had a great time with lots of play (once better) and attention! Thank you Sam and Morgane - Ozzie can't wait for the next "vacation"!

We had such a great experience with Yick-Hong and Yueh! They were incredibly transparent and communicative throughout — always reachable and quick to respond. We really appreciated that they asked for our consent before taking Brie anywhere, which made us feel respected and at ease. They sent thorough updates with a great mix of photos and videos, including how she was eating and going to the bathroom, so we always knew exactly how she was doing. Would absolutely rebook — highly recommend!

Aya was an amazing sitter. She communicated with me the whole time and I didnt have to ask for pictures because she already sent them! She was very responsive and understanding. I will be going back. Bluey loved her. Im very grateful she was able to watch her. Thank you Aya!

I had a great experience boarding my cat for a last minute weekend away. They made sure my cat was comfortable with a separate room (since he has dietary restrictions), equipped with a cat tree, bed, bowls, and litter box. They were able to administer his medications easily. Communication was consistent & I got photo and video updates throughout. I was able to have an anxiety free weekend and my cat got a vacation too! I will definitely book next time I need a sitter.

Lee and her family did an amazing job taking care of Lugano! They treated him like he was part of their own happy family, and it was clear he was very loved and well cared for while we were away. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such great hands. We would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
