“Zilalai goes above and beyond to provide love and care for our Husky. She is so accommodating and flexible with our needs and requests and we always feel so confident and relaxed with our dog in her care. We are so grateful for her!”

About: Hi there! I'm a reliable, compassionate dog lover who understands that every dog deserves patience, kindness, and individualized care. I know that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I don't take that responsibility lightly. My goal is to make both you and your dog feel comfortable, safe, and confident every step of the way. I believe dogs are family, and I care for every dog as if they were my own. Whether your pup is energetic and loves long walks, prefers a slower pace, or simply enjoys companionship, I'm happy to adapt to their unique personality, routine, and needs. I pay close attention to details, including feeding schedules, medications, preferred walking routes, potty breaks, and any special instructions you provide. I'm attentive during every walk and visit, always keeping your dog's safety as my top priority. I'll make sure they have plenty of exercise, affection, fresh water, and positive attention while they're with me. I understand that consistency is important, so I do my best to maintain the routine your dog is already familiar with. Communication is also very important to me. I'll keep you updated with photos, messages, and details about how your dog's visit or walk went, so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I want you to know that your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. Whether your dog loves to play, explore, cuddle, or simply enjoys a calm, reassuring presence, I'm committed to providing a positive experience filled with patience, love, and respect. My goal isn't just to walk dogs—it's to build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners based on trust, reliability, and genuine care. I cared for my miniature Sheltie from his energetic puppy years through his senior years, including helping him navigate severe rheumatoid arthritis with patience, love, and compassion. That experience taught me how important it is to be attentive to each dog's unique needs. I strive to provide every pet with thoughtful, reliable care, treating them like family because that's exactly what they deserve. I would be honored to care for your furry family member, and I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! I recently transitioned from my full-time role as a paralegal at a law firm in downtown Boston and am dedicating my time throughout July and August to caring for pets. This allows me to offer a flexible schedule and give each dog the time, attention, and care they deserve. Whether your pet needs a walk, companionship, or extra attention while you're away, I'm happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. My goal is to provide reliable, attentive care that gives you peace of mind and keeps your dog happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I have a fully fenced yard and live near several parks in Brighton's Oak Square neighborhood, providing plenty of opportunities for safe outdoor exercise and enrichment. I don't currently have a dog of my own, as my beloved Sheltie passed away two years ago, which means any dog in my care will receive my full attention. Whether I'm caring for a pet in my home or in a client's home, I prioritize keeping them comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions, and any special care requests. I believe consistency helps dogs feel secure, so I take the time to learn each pet's personality, preferences, and needs. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and low-stress environment where your dog feels cared for, happy, and at home while you're away.

About: I’ve been watching neighbors and friends pets for as long as I can remember! Anytime a furry friend needed a companion I was the one to call. I work full time but am only in office Tuesday and Wednesday. I will gladly stop in anytime after 6 pm on those days otherwise I WFH Monday Thursday and Friday and can stop in three times a day then! I will be glad to walk your dog or just come check on them in your home! I can crate them or do whatever you would feel best about!
About: I’ve been caring for pets and animals since as far back as I can remember! Once I got my very own pets (a dog and two cats) outside of my family home, it became a whole new world of understanding what it takes to train and care for fur babies. My sweet Aussie, Poppy, like most, is high-energy and anxious, but getting her at just 8 weeks old gave me the opportunity to dive into the world of dog behaviorism and training. She has come leaps and bounds from the over-excited, reactive pup she was, and the work that goes into helping a dog feel more calm and confident in the world means a lot to me. I've worked with dog trainers and have researched for countless hours to understand how and why dogs and cats behave the way they do to give my own the best lives possible, and I would love to take the same care with your own fur baby! I have a flexible WFH schedule on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as weekend availability, that gives me the opportunity to fit in extra walks / visits with new fur babies! I'm comfortable administering medication, crating dogs, cleaning litter boxes, etc. as needed! If it has to do with the day-to-day for cats or dogs, it's all good with me! I do appreciate detailed instructions to make sure that I take the best possible care to follow the routines you already have in place with your pets :)
“Despite not getting to do a meet and greet (last minute walk!) Yeojin followed my instructions perfectly and took great care of my boy! We appreciate your last minute help!!”

“Ana Beatriz is wonderful and I highly recommend her. My dog instantly loved her and she does a great job at motivating him on walks (sometimes he's a bit lazy). She also communicates very well and provides great updates.”

“Dante took my girl Nessie on a walk, and he was great to work with! He was sure to ask thoughtful questions to make sure he knew Nessie and her preferences before their walk, which I appreciated!”

“She was very kind and accommodating. Communication with her was very easy. We were able to schedule in an additional walk. My dogs seemed to have had a good time.”

“We are delighted to have Natalia regularly walk our doggo Maxie because not only is she reliable, but she's also obviously caring and compassionate. Her photos and notes after the walks are testimony to her involvement and care. She was also very understanding and flexible when our first week together went completely awry because of unforeseeable issues at my end. She's a breath of fresh air, and I'm very happy that Maxie gets to experience her affection every afternoon!”

About: I am a recent college grad spending some time on my own, but greatly missing my pets! I have experience with all kinds of animals including medically complex pets, seniors, puppies, doodles and other hairy friends, and more! I am a part time intern working about 20 hours per week looking for some friends to fill my downtime. I can look after your animals any time of day with this flexibility. Good for weekdays and weekends! I follow a strict schedule with animals. Feeding routines, walks, treats, and training are all scheduled and followed to a T in my household. This makes it easy for me to apply these in other households.
“Sydney is absolutely great with our dog Jack! She’s always on time, provides updates, and genuinely enjoys her time with him. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for dog walking services!”

“Even though Cali was timid/anxious when Katherine arrived she was able to take the time to make sure she was cared for! Much appreciated and would definitely recommend!”

“Cori was great with my 80lb pup for walks! She was flexible in scheduling, sent me lots of pictures so I knew she was being well taken care of, and was available for a quick meet and greet a few days before walking her. She is responsible and sweet. Highly recommend and will definitely use again!”

About: I don't just love my cat, Pinto, I also respect him as a living being. I don't push his buttons and I'm constantly working to make him feel more safe and comfortable. Your pets will receive the same love and attention from me! I'm taking a hiatus from my fulltime job and I just moved to a new area of the city, petsitting will allow me to get out and explore the neighborhood and meet cute creatures! I'm good at following instructions and respecting pets' spaces, I'll be checking in with the owners and giving constant updates. I take my cat's safety seriously and I do worry a lot, I have a camera to monitor him when I'm at work, and before I leave I remove any objects that could possibly harm my cat.
“Hannah was great! I had to go out of town for a conference and we needed someone to take our dog Riley out during the afternoon for a break and a walk. Great communication, and very easy to work with. I'm sure Riley can't wait for the next time I have to go out of town so he can see Hannah again!”

About: As much as I love playing with puppies I have a fondness for senior dogs. I have spent more time caring for senior dogs and enjoy being around them. I worked nights and was always available for vet appointments. My dog Nicholas went to aquatherapy often and my Pug did acupuncture. I have cared for dogs needing meds, diaper changes, extra lifts, & short walks that required a long time. I often had dogs that needed fresh or homemade food and lots of treats & love. Being retired I am often home working on projects. I also am fortunate to have friends all over the country. I go to their homes and care for their pets while they vacation. I currently have no pets. I live 50ft to the paths along the Charles River. It is a great place to walk dogs. We come upon small wildlife, other dogs and lots of joggers. Some dogs still get excited need some training and treats. I have spent hours out there sitting with pets.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Brighton
This is the second time Kira has walked my pit bull mix, Bebe, and she’s been amazing both times! The first time, it was extremely hot outside, and she stayed a little longer after the walk just to make sure Bebe was doing okay. Today, she was able to walk Bebe again even though I reached out at the very last minute. She also fed her, which I really appreciated. She’s incredibly sweet, reliable, and Bebe seemed to love her. I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again whenever I need someone to take care of Bebe. Highly recommend!

Hannah was wonderful to work with. I have on very social dog and one that is very anxious. She did a great job working with both dogs and their individual needs. Hannah is responsive, communicative, and responsible. She sent numerous photos and updates, and wasn’t afraid to ask questions in the moment. I will definitely book with her again.

Leilani is a wonderful dogwalker. When she came for a meet and greet, Junie liked her right away. Leilani listened carefully to all instructions and was warm and friendly. She walked Junie three times in two days, sending pics and updates each time. She seemed to enjoy her time with Junie, and made sure to give Blue some love too while she was here. I will absolutely request Leilani to care for Junie and Blue in the future.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
