About: You can rest easy with your animals in my care. I've spent years studying animal health, behavior, and nutrition, and I'm trained on basic animal first aid. I've petsit dogs, cats, rodents, birds, reptiles, and even crabs! I am flexible and communicative and willing to work. Please reach out - I can't wait to meet you and your pets! I currently have an open schedule with flexibility for pet care throughout the day. I start my day around 6am, so feel free to reach out for early-morning needs! I recently moved to the area and my apartment does not allow pets (except my guinea pigs, luckily!), so I currently only offer house visits. I will always respect your home, space, and pets. Let me know of any special accommodations or anything else in the house that might require my attention.

About: Proud dog-owner for the past three years! Grew up in a house cosplaying as a petting zoo- cats, frogs, dogs, hamsters, you name it! Extremely flexible, willing to adapt, and excited to get to know your pets! Just a teacher trying to make enough money to have a career of not making enough money #fortheloveofthegame I currently teach full-time, so evenings and weekends provide the most availability. However, with summer around the corner, my availability will be expanding! After mid-May, I will have availability from 3:30 PM onwards. I currently live in an apartment in West Harlem with my 4-year old mutt. She warms up to most doggos, but an intro would be necessary! The apartment is near multiple parks, and I am located in a walkable area.

About: I absolutely love animals. I grew up with a cat before my family adopted a senior dog and got a puppy. I’m able to administer medication to pets, as we did that with our senior dog, but have also cared for our (no longer) puppy his entire life. I helped train him and helped him understand fetch, which he now loves. Additionally, I often cared for my grandma’s cat both when she couldn’t and just because I love her cat. I’m currently in grad school and intern a few days a week, however I am free for at least some period of time every day of the week! I’m available Monday and Friday evenings after 5pm, Tuesday and Thursday evenings after 6:30pm, Wednesdays all day until 5pm, and all day on both weekend days. In someone’s home, I’m always respectful of their limits with their pets. If at a friend’s, I always make sure to ask whether it’s okay if their pet can be on the couch, given a treat, etc.

About: I’ve been caring for pets and animals since as far back as I can remember! Once I got my very own pets (a dog and two cats) outside of my family home, it became a whole new world of understanding what it takes to train and care for fur babies. My sweet Aussie, Poppy, like most, is high-energy and anxious, but getting her at just 8 weeks old gave me the opportunity to dive into the world of dog behaviorism and training. She has come leaps and bounds from the over-excited, reactive pup she was, and the work that goes into helping a dog feel more calm and confident in the world means a lot to me. I've worked with dog trainers and have researched for countless hours to understand how and why dogs and cats behave the way they do to give my own the best lives possible, and I would love to take the same care with your own fur baby! I have a flexible WFH schedule on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as weekend availability, that gives me the opportunity to fit in extra walks / visits with new fur babies! I'm comfortable administering medication, crating dogs, cleaning litter boxes, etc. as needed! If it has to do with the day-to-day for cats or dogs, it's all good with me! I do appreciate detailed instructions to make sure that I take the best possible care to follow the routines you already have in place with your pets :)

About: I grew up with animals. Dogs and cats specifically have always been apart of my life. I am able to keep up with with the youngest peppy puppy or slow down to meet the pace of a senior dog. I am not fazed by much and happy to provide the same love and care that you would give to your animal. I am a freelancer with a very flexible schedule. I have the ability to work with you on potential last minute needs and care for your pets. I am very comfortable caring for animals weather it be a quick check at the home ot in an more outdoor adventure. My goal is to give your animal the care they care they need in the environment that works best for you and them.

About: I've always been around animals growing up, from dogs to birds to horses, and everything in between. My neighborhood often sought me out when they needed a sitter, or just someone to stop in and throw a ball around. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes, and love learning about their individual personalities! I am comfortable taking animals on long walks, or keeping furry friends company while their family is away. Staying overnight does not bother me whatsoever, or dropping in at multiple times during the day. I know how special pets are and value their companionship. I look forward to working with pet owners and getting some animal love that I have been lacking in my life for a while! I'm a senior and college, which is a little crazy, but my schedule is very flexible and I am always willing to work with owners to make something work! I want your pet to feel as comfortable with me as with their family. When house sitting, I'm a stickler for details and ask lots of questions so that I can make the sitting experience comfortable for pets. I'm active and can keep up with pets that have high energy, but can also be a stay at home TV watcher for those types of pets as well!

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have always enjoyed being around them. While I’m new to professional pet sitting, I’ve cared for friends’ dogs and am confident with walks, feeding, playtime, and maintaining their usual routines. I also have extensive professional experience as a teacher of young children, which has developed my patience, responsibility, and ability to follow structured routines. I believe these are all caregiving skills that translate well to caring for pets, as well as having a professional attitude while doing it. I will care for your pet as I would any small being in my care and am happy to provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind! As for right now, I am between jobs and looking for extra cash, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pet. When caring for a pet in the clients home, I would treat their space with the same respect and care I would want someone to show my own home. I will follow any instructions you leave closely, and respect your space as I would want mine to be. I also understand that inviting a new person into your home can feel stressful! Not only because of your pet, but because of your personal space as well. I want you to feel completely comfortable while you’re away, and I will do everything I can to earn and maintain your trust through clear communication and respect!

I walk my dogs everyday at least 3 times a day, and when I am dog walking for clients, I will give them as many walks as they need, for at least 20 minutes.

About: Howdy! My name is Natalie and any dog I've met I have loved like my own. Growing up I had my fluffy 90lb Labradoodle and two sweet guinea pigs. Aside from my own pup, neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk and feed their dogs and care for their cats. I currently have a full time job where I have to go into the office Monday-Thursday but an available for walks and drop-in on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I live in a small apartment in Brighton MA across the street from a wonderful reservoir and less than a mile away from several parks! I am a very active person so would be a great host for an athletic or active dog! However, if your dog is less active, I can easily bring my activity level to where your dog is happy and comfortable. I allow pets on my bed and couch, unless you prefer them not to.

Lindsay is simply wonderful! We were in a pinch and looking for a new dog walker, and she was great- she arrived on time, considerate of our property, was thoughtful and asked several questions, which clearly meant that she was thinking about Maxie and his needs. She's also easy to coordinate with, and very clear and prompt in her communication. She did a test walk with Maxie and a real walk today, and it went perfectly! They both had fun and we are back to feeling completely happy and safe in the knowledge that Maxie is in caring and reliable hands.

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
