“Where do we begin...this was a hard choice when trying to find someone to watch our fur baby for 6 days. He got to know Barb and a visit to her home for a meet and great. Then another visit for half a day. He was in heaven. Barb sent photos throughout the day. He was in a good mood and not anxious at all. Then we left TicTac in her care for 6 days. So many pictures came to us. He definitely has made new friends and was cared for so well. I highly recommend Barb 🌟”

About: I have extensive experience caring for cats from kittens to seniors, including administering oral medications. This includes my own cats and also family/friend cats. I have my own rescue pit mix dog who has needed some patience to build her confidence and I’m proud of the work we’ve done together in the 1+ years together. I’ve also worked as a kennel assistant handling meal times, medication, day cares, walks, and clean up. I have always loved pets, from hamsters up to big 100 lbs dogs. I will treat your baby with love and respect and understanding of their needs. I share pet care duties with my Fiance John who grew up with dogs and cats in his household and takes care of our two cats and rescue dog with me. We both work full time but I only work 4 days a week and John works 5 days but leaves later and gets home earlier than me. I handle the morning chores including pet meals and Phoebe’s first walk of the day. John handles the second walk of the day when he gets home from work and the second mealtime then. Night time, Phoebe always gets a walk before bed and cats get their last meal. On weekends and free days off together (I always have a 3 day weekend) Phoebe usually gets a trip out to a park, trail, or beach where she can either roam and get her running in. Phoebe gets playdates often with her dog besties who live nearby. Phoebe is crate trained and we have an extra crate on hand too as needed. Currently Phoebe and the cats roam free together when we’re at work because they’re trustworthy now but if a guest comes, we can separate rooms easily and use crates. In other clients homes, I will always follow the rules of the house. Dogs and cats alike will get lots of enrichment, walks, and playtime so everyone is satisfied and comfortable.

About: About Me: I am a dog parent myself, with a 25lb Terrier mix named Lemonade who my husband and I rescued from a shelter in Texas about 6 years ago. Lemon is my best friend and little shadow. I am usually anxious to leave her in the care of others, so I deeply empathize with other owners who just want their pet to be safe, loved, and cared for responsibly. I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have a particular fondness for small breeds, but I truly love them all! I have done overnight stays with dogs ranging from 5-45 lbs (Toy Poodles, Doodles, small Terrier breeds, pitty mixes to name a few) but also have walking experience with medium/large sized dogs such as Standard Poodles, Portuguese Water Dogs, Golden Retrievers and Lab/Boxer mixes. About: I was raised with two German Shepherds and ever since dogs have been my best friends. After their short lifespan, I moved into an apartment and have welcomed many dogs into my house for days and sometimes even months. Because I am mostly a stay-at-home student I am available to attend to any dog's needs and would love to welcome and love them just as much as you do while you are away. Unfortunately, I have many stairs leading to the apartment therefore if your friend is a senior dog or does not like stairs they have to be around 30 pounds so I can carry them upstairs. I am a full-time student from home, therefore, the furry company will be well appreciated in my life routine as well as benefit your pet. I have a fenced backyard which your pet will love. If your friend loves car rides, I would love to take it to dog parks, morning runs, and walks.

I had a white cocker spaniel named Rainbow (that was the first thing I thought of when I got him as a five-year-old). she sparked a lifelong love for pets since then I’ve carried for cats and dogs of many friends and family members. I can do doggy day care during the weekends and a few days during the week as well. I am able to on-board depending on a few factors and house sit. I have cared for dogs needing meds, diaper changes, extra lifts, & short walks that required a long time. I often had dogs that needed fresh or homemade food and lots of treats & love. Being retired I am often home working on projects. I also am fortunate to have friends all over the country. I go to their homes and care for their pets while they vacation. I currently have no pets. I live 50ft to the paths along the Charles River. It is a great place to walk dogs. We come upon small wildlife, other dogs and lots of joggers. Some dogs still get excited need some training and treats. I have spent hours out there sitting with pets.

About: I have extensive experience caring for cats from kittens to seniors, including administering oral medications. This includes my own cats and also family/friend cats. I have my own rescue pit mix dog who has needed some patience to build her confidence and I’m proud of the work we’ve done together in the 1+ years together. I’ve also worked as a kennel assistant handling meal times, medication, day cares, walks, and clean up. I have always loved pets, from hamsters up to big 100 lbs dogs. I will treat your baby with love and respect and understanding of their needs. I share pet care duties with my Fiance John who grew up with dogs and cats in his household and takes care of our two cats and rescue dog with me. We both work full time but I only work 4 days a week and John works 5 days but leaves later and gets home earlier than me. I handle the morning chores including pet meals and Phoebe’s first walk of the day. John handles the second walk of the day when he gets home from work and the second mealtime then. Night time, Phoebe always gets a walk before bed and cats get their last meal. On weekends and free days off together (I always have a 3 day weekend) Phoebe usually gets a trip out to a park, trail, or beach where she can either roam and get her running in. Phoebe gets playdates often with her dog besties who live nearby. Phoebe is crate trained and we have an extra crate on hand too as needed. Currently Phoebe and the cats roam free together when we’re at work because they’re trustworthy now but if a guest comes, we can separate rooms easily and use crates. In other clients homes, I will always follow the rules of the house. Dogs and cats alike will get lots of enrichment, walks, and playtime so everyone is satisfied and comfortable.

“*READ IF YOUR DOG (or let’s be real, you) HAVE SEPARATION ANXIETY!* I brought my 90 pound labradoodle, Chewbacca, to Michael’s for the week. I’ve had Chewbacca since he was 12 weeks old, he’s 4 now. It was me and him for a long time, and we’re bonded at the hip. He has separation anxiety when we’re parted. I have diagnosed anxiety, so I also get debilitatingly anxious when I’m separated from him. Finding a dog sitter that I trusted was a major challenge. Well, it was a challenge until I met Mike. Although Mike offered to pick Chewbacca up for us, we were in the area that day and dropped Chewbacca off. The first thing I noticed is that Chewbacca went right up to Mike without hesitation. After knowing Mike for only a half hour, Chewbacca showed less anxiety when I left than when I bring him to our longtime (and fantastic) groomer. Mike and his partner are -exceptionally- communicative. They sent me pictures each day and gave me consistent updates. Chew has a small skin tag on his elbow, and when he chewed it and a small wound opened, Michael immediately contacted me and treated it each day. Mike is attentive and is with the dogs all day, and when I visited the property, it was clear that it is more than equipped to house several dogs. The fenced in area is massive, and after looking at the pictures, it felt like Chewbacca was spending each day at the dog park. If your dog feels most relaxed when around other animals, this is the place to send them. I saw in a different review that a client may have felt misled by Mikes location being in Colchester. *I have had the complete opposite experience.* Mike was extremely transparent with his location and even takes the time to drive -two hours!- for pick up and drop off to make it easier for the client. No shade to that person, but I have to call out a bad take when I see one, especially for a business that’s run so efficiently and transparently. There is no doubt that I will be bringing Chewbacca to Mike for our next trip, and I encourage you to do the same.”
“Our dog Lincoln had an amazing time with Stefan and his family. I was very nervous to leave him, as we recently moved to Arlington. I shouldn’t have worried at all! Stefan eased my mind by sending me pictures and updating me on what he was doing. After a day, I started thinking that Lincoln was on a vacation! He got love, he played with other dogs, got exercise, and at night was snuggled in bed. His stay exceeded my expectations, and I would leave Lincoln with them anytime. He had a great time.
