About: Hi, my name is Meghan! I have loved animals my entire life and have always been the person who stops to say hello to every dog, cat, and animal I meet (while always respecting their boundaries). My love for animals started as a child when I spent my school years reading every animal book I could find and watching every animal movie and documentary I could. That lifelong passion has grown into a career caring for pets and learning what makes each animal unique. I have over 4 years of professional animal care experience, beginning in dog daycare in 2022 and currently working as a Veterinary Assistant in an emergency veterinary setting. Through my experience, I have cared for dogs and cats of many ages, breeds, personalities, and needs from playful puppies and kittens to adult pets and senior companions. At home, I care for my own pets, including Thor, my 12 year old Chihuahua mix, Xena, my 8 year old Lab/Hound mix, and Sage, my 11 year old cat. Caring for my own pets has taught me the importance of patience, routine, understanding body language, and recognizing that every animal communicates differently. My experience includes: • Puppy, kitten, adult, and senior pet care • Medication administration (oral medications, eye drops, and injections) • Diabetic pet care and pets with medical needs • Understanding animal body language and stress signals • Providing enrichment, playtime, exercise, and individualized attention • Helping pets feel safe and comfortable in their own environment I understand that pets are family, and leaving them with someone new can feel stressful. My goal is to give you peace of mind by treating your pets with the same love, patience, and care I give my own. Every pet has their own personality, routine, likes, dislikes, and comfort level. I take the time to learn what makes your pet happy and what helps them feel secure. You can expect clear communication, updates, and plenty of photos so you always know how your pet is doing while you are away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, enrichment, or simply relaxing in their favorite spot, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they are with me. I am currently an online student, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my day around the pets in my care. Whether I'm providing drop in visits, dog walks, or house sitting, I make it a priority to follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible. I always make sure pets receive the attention, exercise, companionship, and care they need while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special instructions before every booking. I follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and exercise routines carefully while respecting your home and your pet's space. With my professional experience in dog daycare and as a Veterinary Assistant, I understand animal body language and recognize signs of stress or discomfort. I use positive, patient handling and never force interactions, allowing pets to become comfortable at their own pace. You can also expect regular updates and plenty of photos throughout each visit or stay, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Ilana was an amazing cat sitter to our two cats. One of them required medical attention unexpectedly and she was so supportive and communicated with us every step of the way. She went above and beyond, even gathering extra supplies as the cats needs changed. Our family was so grateful that we had such great cat care while we were traveling internationally.”

“Olivia left thoughtful and detailed messages during her visits with my cat, which helped put me at ease when I was away from her for the first time. I had no idea my cat would hiss, and Olivia managed to handle it well. She even got toys out for JoJo when I forgot to put them out.”

“Peaches, my little old Yorkie, took to Jess immediately and they enjoyed a nice walk in the neighborhood. I appreciated her promptness in arriving on time, and her photo that she took of Peaches. Highly recommend!”

“Kay is a great cat sitter! She comes on time, shows our Ted plenty of love, and sends us detailed updates along with pictures. She is also super responsive to messages. Would definitely use her services again!”

“Elizabeth was extremely punctual and communicative. When Buster had digestive issues, she quickly informed me of what it happened and took care to make sure he was OK. 10 out of 10 would book again”

“Lauren took great care of our two cats while we were away for a week! She did twice a day visits, sent detailed updates + photos, and was very responsive to our input and the cats needs.”

“Michelle was so wonderful to our fur babies while we were out of town for a long weekend. She listened to and followed all directions well and catered to the needs of all three of our babies who have very different personalities! It was such a relief to know that they were all being checkin in on with such care during our trip. Michelle sent many photos, videos, and detailed updates after each visit which was very much appreciated. We will 100% book Michelle again!”

“Jessica was great! Booked a drop-in with short notice. She was responsive, flexible, and showed a care and understanding for my pooch's well-being as well as any concerns I had”

About: I have been around dogs all of my life, once I was able to properly hold a leash there was no stopping me from hanging out with our 4-legged furry friends! I am a frequent dog walker for coworkers, friends, and family. I also have dog sat on multiple occasions for coworkers, friends, and family whenever they needed me. Most importantly I rescued a very active and very spoiled French Bulldog 6 years ago and he has made my love for dogs even stronger somehow! As much as I love dogs, I also love cats! I will make friends with any sort of animal if I am able to! I work a hybrid schedule for a corporate office. I am in the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, and I work from home the other 3 days. Monday, Thursday, Friday I take personal walks on my lunch break as well as after 5pm and would love for a furry friend to join me! Saturdays & Sundays I am open as well! Happy to walk your pup wherever in the neighborhood or area, we'd get out steps in! I have walked dogs in the past ranging from 15lbs, all the way up to 120lbs!
“Maria was amazing! Murphy is anxious around new people so can sometimes be difficult but she was patient with him - exactly what he needs! She was on time and made sure to send me pictures of Muprhy on their walk. So nice to have someone be able to let Murphy out and know he’s being well taken care of!”

About: I am a 28 year old dog lover who has had dogs my whole life! I have had multiple bichons as a kid and have spent a ton of time with a variety of family friends breeds! I have trained our dogs growing up with my family and spent a lot of time walking and keeping them busy throwing the ball around as my mom was a writer. I joined Rover to help save up for my September 2027 wedding and are hoping to help out some families with their pets while getting some exercise! Thanks so much for considering! I am an accountant who works 8-5. My break (when I would walk or drop in) is from 12-1. I would also do so before & after work. I have lots of experience with pets and am happy to safely care for your pet however you specify! We crate our pets at night, our yard is fenced in, ETC,
“Although we’ve only had one visit so far, I can already tell Winston loves playing with Natalie! He was sleeping hard the moment after she left. I’d highly recommend her to anyone.”

About: Plenty of experience with all types of pets! I have been around dogs and cats all of my life and I currently own an AMAZING corgi named Macy. I am very comfortable around all dogs whether they are small or large. I love dogs and will definitely take wayyyy too many pictures of your fur babies. Your pets are your children and I am more than equipped to meet their needs. I lived with 4 dogs before so I’m very used to watching more than 1. Keeping your pets happy is my priority!!! I typically work 8-5pm at Texas a&m and I’m free outside of that! Depending on how close you were I could potentially let the dogs out at lunch. Your pets typically feel most comfortable in their own environment so while I can’t keep them at my house with my current housing restrictions I am more than willing to house sit so that they can feel at ease while you are away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Newton
Longfei and Luning were very responsible, attentive, and clearly cares a lot about cats. They followed the instructions carefully, kept me updated and made sure my cat was comfortable and well cared for. I felt very reassured having them look after my cat and would definitely book again.

Shannon did a great job watching our cat for a week. She was very responsive, conscientious, and considerate in her communications and in her care for our cat. We really appreciate having someone as reliable as Shannon and will definitely be asking her to cat sit for us again!

Brianna did an amazing job watching my cat while I was away for the weekend. She provided pictures and comments during every visit and was quick to respond if I had any questions. Brianna did a great job making me feel comfortable leaving my pet in her care. Will definitely rebook!!

Hannah took such great care of our cat, Luna, while we were away. She sent us daily updates with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear she genuinely cared about Luna and knew exactly how to make her feel comfortable and happy. She played with her, gave her lots of attention, and kept everything clean, including doing an excellent job with the litter box. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat. I highly recommend Hannah to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and thoughtful pet sitter!

Jess has been such a great addition to my dog's life! Nellie is an anxious girl who can be reactive on lease. Jess has not only embraced working with Nellie, but has been patient and creative in providing Nellie with the best possible experience. She is flexible with my schedule and provides clear and consistent communication. Can not recommend enought!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
