Dog Whisperer: trusted by the wary
The neighborhood calls me the "dog whisperer" because there’s lot of rescues who will come to me. There is some debate among folks if the dogs think I am a person or a fellow play mate. Success: I will be a “good auntie” – play and take care of them but a stern voice for safety with passing cars or your no sofa rule. If there’s a nearby nature trail, then I would love to let them sniff around. Experience: I grew up with a Samoyed and trained him to heal on the leash. I am a good alpha because I use a deep voice when needed and will wear them out with play. I was trusted to dog sit when a friend went to Ireland for a week. I will be consistent with the family’s rules.

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Melissa from Rover. She took amazing care of our dog Luna, who was recovering from knee surgery and needed special attention. Melissa followed our instructions for Luna’s physical therapy three times a day, and kept us updated with photos and messages through the Rover app, which really gave us peace of mind. On top of that, she stayed at our house while we were away and left it spotless. We even came home to a sweet note and a flower on the counter. Melissa truly went above and beyond, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter.
Melissa was great with our dog Benny! We booked last minute and she accommodated our early morning departure and late arrival due to flight delays. This was the first time we have left him , so we were nervous, but Mellissa sent pictures and texts which set our minds at ease. The house was left in excellent condition. We would not hesitate to book with Melissa again!
Melissa took very good care of Louie - sleeping and just hanging out with him. He seemed quite content and calm when I returned. The house looked in great shape when I returned. I would recommend her highly.
As always, Melissa was amazing caring for Raya for over a week.
This was at least the 4th time (I lost count) Melissa has taken care of our beloved attention seeking, affectionate, squirrel chasing beautiful dog. Melissa is kind and thoughtful. She proactively offered extra days when our flight was cancelled due to snow! She takes extraordinarily good care of our dog. I can’t praise her enough!
Melissa was great! She watched our beagle last minute for an entire day, who is often shy and scared of strangers and she warmed right up to her. We felt good knowing our girl was in such great care. We would definitely recommend and book Melissa again!
