“This is the second time Jennifer has watched our pup Tashi. She was also able to watch his buddy Murphy, a 13 year old Wheaten Terrier. Murphy is an older pup and needed additional care with more frequent potty outings, 3 different daily hand fed medication, and extra belly rubs! Jennifer did it all and more. She is great with the pups and reached out frequently with questions to ensure things were done correctly. She sends photos and updates through the day. It is so nice and relaxing to know your pup will be well taken care of when you have to be away from them.”

“Yagmur was fantastic with our pup. She really gave her such a fun overnight - long walks, hang time, and play time in her fenced in back yard. Plus Yagmur is so warm and friendly so it was a pleasure to communicate with her!”

“Yi was fabulous! She took great care of our ragdoll kitten, Pudding. She is incredibly responsive and sends multiple pictures and videos every day. I would highly recommend her and look forward to booking again in the future!”

“Big thanks to Robert and Jen for taking care of Cheerio over the weekend. They are very kind hosts and love dogs. They sent photos of Cheerio playing, walking, chilling, we were so happy during our trip that he had lots of fun at Robert's home. We will come back for sure.”

“Although the snowstorm was at its best, Aga took care of Kana. We were so happy, that we found Aga for our very spontanous weekend away where we couldn't take our pup Kana with us. So it was wonderful to see, how good he had it at Aga, how he could play outside in the snow as well as feel cozy at home. Aga has sent us several photos that showed how comfortable Kana was. Also, the communication was great from the beginning, prompt and absolutey uncomplicated. I would definitly recommand Aga for dog boarding. Thank you so much for taking care of Kana and leaving is without any worries.”

“We needed a sitter for our dog for a last minute trip we planned. This would be for 18 days. Finding a sitter was no easy task. Thankfully, Evan was available. Everything about our transaction was smooth and easy. He has an older dog, Luke who got along great with our younger and energetic Johnny. We received regular check ins and pictures during our trip. Jonny's stay with Evan was everything we could have hoped for. Really, I cannot heap enough praise. I would definitely consider Evan for another assignment the next time we need a sitter.”
““Excellent”experience with Su. He gave daily updates with photos. Really cared about Koda and reached out when things came out. Highly recommended him to family and friends. Definitely use him again !! Thanks for taking good care of our dog.”

“This was Brady’s 2nd time with Hong. When I dropped Brady off, he was so glad to see them again! Hong sent us daily reports and photos. Most of all, they really seem to love our dog. Thank you so much for the excellent care!!”
“Laurie was great! Our 3 year old dog had a great 3 night stay at Laurie's house. I could tell she was well cared for and loved getting pictures throughout her stay. Highly recommend and will book with her again.”

About: I have a 5-year-old border collie. He’s very friendly and loves to play with other dogs. I live in a town house so I don’t have a yard per say. I typically take my dog to parks/fields in Ashland to hike or run around. I typically walk my border collie about 4 miles a day as well. I work remote so I am usually home. Available 7 days a week. I usually go to the gym for a few hours each day but try to be home for my dog to keep him active as a herding dog (border collie) I will do 2 long walks per day typically (2 miles each). I will also take my dog and yours hiking or to a field/park but not a dog park. I can go to a fenced in field if needed for your dog. Mine doesn’t need a fence.
“Gomer had a great time staying with Holly and having River as a play/house mate! Gomer was exhausted when we got home and I could tell he had fun staying for one night at Holly's. I so appreciated how Holly kept me updated on Gomer, was extremely responsive and overall, a pleasure to meet. I definitely plan to call Holly again for Gomercare!”

“Sarah and family (humans and dogs) made my pup feel like family! He got to play and cuddle all day long and we got cute pictures throughout the weekend. They were patient with his puppy behavior and their love for dogs is so special! We will happily leave our pup in their care again!”

“Eric was quick to respond and agreed to watch Wally at the last minute, which was super helpful. He was attentive to Wally's needs and sent photos throughout the day, keeping us updated on his stay. Eric has a super cute dog who seemed easygoing even when Wally got a bit exciteable at pick-up/drop-off. We would absolutely have Eric watch Wally again. Thank you!”

“Samantha was so easy to work with and took great care of my senior small pup. I appreciated all of the photos and updates! I like how private Samantha's house is and how big the yard is. Thanks Samantha!”

“Cathy and family were awesome. The meet and great was easy and comfortable, and Cathy was extremely responsive. Our trip was extended and they happily kept our dog for an extra night. We will absolutely be working with Cathy again! Highly recommended.”

“This is the second time we have Monet at Marissa’s place. She took a great care of Monet. And from Marissa’s photos, we could tell that Monet was enjoying the stay so much! Thank you!”

“This was Seamus first visit to get acquainted before we board him in July. Alex was most welcoming and within minutes of dropping Seamus off somewhere for the very first time in his 10 months, I received photos of a very happy boy with his new friends. Highly recommend and I am grateful they are so close to my home.”

We couldn’t be happier with Bo & Xaiosong! They take the best care of our dog Fergus. We get pictures & videos everyday and he looks happy. He is fed and walked multiple times and anytime I message I get a response quickly- even during our last trip which was overseas!! Fergus can sometimes be a bit nervous away from home but he was very comfortable and Bo & Xaiosong’s is our 1st choice. HIGHLY recommend!!

Yagmur was absolutely amazing and we would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone! She was so caring and took care of our two dogs as if they were own. Yagmur was very communicative and provided excellent updates that kept us assured throughout our entire time away

Paige was great!!! This was our first time using this service and we could not be happier. She checked in with us daily with pictures and updates. Our dogs are older so we did not know how they would do. She was so good with them. It was very comforting to know they were in such good care while we were away. We would definitely book with her again!

Ryan and his family were excellent! Brady began feeling under the weather before a big trip and couldn’t attend his usual boarding. Ryan took him in on almost no notice and made Brady feel right at home. We got updates on Brady’s walks, daily activities, how he was feeling and nice pictures of him in their home. Appreciate you taking such good care of him!

Emily was a great find!! We were visiting Natick and she took amazing care of our 7-month-old puppy. She has a really clean place for the dog; she is accommodating of specific feeding routines/ sleeping needs of the dog. She also took our dog on walks a few times and sent us multiple pictures over the course of our booking, so we were in the know all the time. She was very responsive before and during the booking, answering all our questions. Highly recommend anyone looking for a dog sitter in this area.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
