“We are truly grateful for Cathy’s loving care of our baby, PJ. We love him dearly and are thrilled that we have found someone who can take care of him and love him as a member of their family. The daily photos and updates eased our worries.”

“Our cat seemed to have better time with Bo & Xiaosong than with us, which actually is better than we could ever have hoped! We received photos and videos of Toto during his stay, which was great. We would definitely rebook with them in the future!”

“Marissa took very good care of Conan, who is a bit anxious. He even did well with Marissa's dog, which she did in a controlled and easy way, which we loved because he needs some positive socialization. She took him for walks, and kept us informed, sending texts and pics. Would definitely recommend and use her again!”

“Yi was fabulous! She took great care of our ragdoll kitten, Pudding. She is incredibly responsive and sends multiple pictures and videos every day. I would highly recommend her and look forward to booking again in the future!”

“Carmen was amazing with Mochi! Being the only dog in the house meant she received plenty of personalized attention, and Carmen kept us updated with pictures throughout the stay.”

“Natasha is a wonderful person, so calm and organized. Our meet & greet with her went so well, and I was at ease leaving our dog with her while we traveled! While we were out, she provided regular updates and photos, which was so nice. Our dog was happy and relaxed during her stay with Natasha, even though it was her first time away from home! Thank you so much, Natasha! ❤️”

About: I've been a dog lover my entire life and had one of my own until recently. Having dogs in my lives has brought me immense joy! I will treat and care for your dog as if they were a part of my family. I am very reliable and responsible, and I have transportation available for pick-up and drop-off if needed. I would be delighted to take care of your pet! I work from home most of the times and have a pretty flexible schedule! I usually walk my in the morning and before sunset every day, each around 30 minutes, but could increase the frequency if your dog needed! I have a fenced yard, and there are 2 dog parks near my house, I usually let my dog plays there. The dogs in the park I meet are all super friendly! Besides, I have plenty of toys and treats in the house.

“Ismael was a great find on Rover! We were traveling to MA from out of town, for a soccer tournament. Ismael took excellent care of our Mamba! He was sending us pictures and updates on how Mamba’s day was going. Mamba seemed very happy to have other dogs to socialize with. Would recommend Ismael to anyone who travels in his area! Thank you!”

“Sarah was great with Baci! Very attentive to details and my care instructions, checked in with photos, and communicated well. She’s a nice person and so are her kids, and I will definitely have her sit for Baci again. Thank you Sarah!”

“Liliya and her family took great care of our dog Luna while we were out of town, and we felt very comfortable that Luna was in great hands with them. We also loved getting lots of updates and photos. We will definitely be calling them again the next time we’re away. :) Thank you Liliya!”

“Lyn was great with Odin! He was immediately comfortable with her and it was clear she loves dogs/ knows how to take good care of them. Lyn was super easy to communicate with and was flexible with drop off/pick up times. Definitely recommend.”

“This was at least the 4th time (I lost count) Melissa has taken care of our beloved attention seeking, affectionate, squirrel chasing beautiful dog. Melissa is kind and thoughtful. She proactively offered extra days when our flight was cancelled due to snow! She takes extraordinarily good care of our dog. I can’t praise her enough!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wayland
We felt very comfortable and secure leaving our senior dog with Bridget for a long weekend. Bridget was highly communicative and kind. Marbles has a couple specialized needs that she easily accommodated (i.e., twice daily pill administration and avoidance of other dogs). Marbles tends to be anxious when without us but I could tell she felt at ease with Bridget from the pictures that she shared with us. We will rebook for sure!

Emma was fantastic to work with. Very kind and flexible. Easy to communicate with and very responsive. She sent so many cute pictures of our dog, Gus, during his stay. He looked like he was living his best life in her care. She seems to really care about the animals. We will definitely book stays for Gus with her again. Thank you Emma!

Ryan is incredibly responsive and we felt really comfortable leaving our dog with him. He asked all the right questions and was so glad to learn about Piper’s quirks. He kept us updated everyday and we know she had a great time. What a relief! Ryan helped us feel relaxed enough to really enjoy our vacay time! Thanks Ryan!

Paige was great!!! This was our first time using this service and we could not be happier. She checked in with us daily with pictures and updates. Our dogs are older so we did not know how they would do. She was so good with them. It was very comforting to know they were in such good care while we were away. We would definitely book with her again!

Jennifer and her family were great! Our dog Rosie had a wonderful time playing with her dogs, running around the fenced yard, and snuggling on the couch. She came home happy and tired. Communication and drop off/pickup were easy. We’d definitely book with Jennifer again!

This is the second time our dog, James, has stayed with Iana, his favorite sitter. She sent us a video and many pictures daily, keeping us updated on how he was doing. James looked so happy and relaxed, clearly enjoying himself in a familiar and loving environment. We will definitely ask her to take care of him again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
