“Monica took care of my little (rescue) rat terrier overnight. She did an excellent job! My dog is anxious and Monica was very attentive to her needs. She sent pictures and kept me informed about my dog's experience throughout the stay. I am looking forward to my next booking with Monica!”

“As always, Danielle was amazing and Ninja loved her time there. She regularly updated me on how Ninja was doing with pictures and is excellent with communication all throughout Ninja’s stay.”

“Guillermo took care of our dog Amos for nine days. He was an exceptional care provider. He went above and beyond taking Amos to the vet, giving his prescribed medication and even returning to the vet for a refill. Amos had plenty of walks. We received many pictures of Amos which my family really enjoyed. I would definitely re-book with Guillermo.”

“Thank you Barbara and Jenn for taking great care of Bonnie. We knew she was safe and having fun while we were away and are very thankful to have had that peace of mind!”

“Paul was an excellent host/sitter for my 13 year old Jack Russell. He spent time with me and Benny upon drop off. I instantly sensed his expertise and comfort with her. I was at ease leaving her with him. Paul understood my concerns for my dog while in his care. I liked his confidence and handling Benny during this meet and greet on this first 24 hour stay. Paul sent a couple of texts and a pic of how things were going and I appreciated his matter of fact information sharing. I was totally pleased with this first experience of leaving Benny with an unfamiliar person and home. Couldn’t have gone better for all involved. Definitely will try for Paul for any future needs and I highly recommend Paul to others.”

“Thank you for looking after our dogs! Ling and Ye sent lots of photos of our two midsize labradoodles on walks and getting cuddles during their stay. And they came home calm and relaxed afterwards - a sign that they were happy while during their stay. Our dogs can get nervous around large male dogs, but their dog Brody (large labradoodle) is a gentle giant who immediately got on with our dogs, but also gave them their own space. We appreciate Ling and Ye's kindness towards our dogs!”

“I cannot thank this family enough for the incredible care they provided. In a moment of high stress—when my wife went into labor at the last minute—they stepped in and looked after our senior dog, Otoko, without hesitation. Otoko is 16 years old and has a variety of medical issues that require a lot of patience and specialized attention. They didn't just "watch" him; they treated him like a member of their own family. They were incredibly attentive to his needs, taking him for gentle walks and even hand-feeding him to ensure he was getting his meals. Throughout the stay, they sent frequent pictures and videos, which gave us such immense peace of mind while we were at the hospital. Knowing he was being so well-loved and attended to allowed us to focus on our new arrival. If you are looking for sitters who truly love dogs and will go above and beyond for a senior pup with extra needs, look no further. They are an extraordinary family!”

“Janette and her family were so welcoming and loving with my dog, Ridley. We got lots of updates and photos of her enjoying her stay, and felt completely at ease leaving her in their care.”
“Finley was fantastic! They provided regular updates on Atlas and we got lots of photos. Atlas didn’t want to leave their house when it was time to go. Would highly recommend Finley!”

“Meli was a great sitter! She’s very friendly and attentive. She also has great communication and gave us plenty of updates. I can tell our puppy had a great time while staying with her 😊”

“Liliya and her family were great with Sophie. This was Sophie’s first experience staying with a sitter so I was a bit nervous how she would do. During Sophie’s stay Liliya sent many pics and updates about Sophie’s routine. This really put my mind at ease and Sophie seemed very content. I also love that Liliya, her husband and two young kids played a role in the sitting which means Sophie got lots of attention. I highly recommend Liliya! I will be using her again next time I travel.”

“This is the second time Jennifer has watched our pup Tashi. She was also able to watch his buddy Murphy, a 13 year old Wheaten Terrier. Murphy is an older pup and needed additional care with more frequent potty outings, 3 different daily hand fed medication, and extra belly rubs! Jennifer did it all and more. She is great with the pups and reached out frequently with questions to ensure things were done correctly. She sends photos and updates through the day. It is so nice and relaxing to know your pup will be well taken care of when you have to be away from them.”

“Ann and her husband took incredible care of our dog. She sent updates and photos regularly while we were away. She was also very accommodating with the drop off and pick up schedule, and was able to accommodate a last minute schedule change. It’s clear that Ann and her husband are dog lovers and go and beyond in their care. We will definitely use them again!”

“I would highly recommend Julie. She watched my golden retriever for a weekend while I was out of town. She send frequent updates and photos which I loved. Julie clearly loves dogs very much and that is evident in how well she takes care of them.”

“My first time on Rover and first time on an extended break w/o my pup, and I was not anxious, but very relieved to know that he was in such great care at Robert's family home. I received daily status updates with photos that made me glad to know that my pup felt comfortable being away from home. Robert & his family made this a 5-star experience and I 1000% recommend their services.”

“Elizabeth & Rodrigo always treat Gator as part of their family and I cannot express enough how much that helps my anxiety being away from him. I never worry about him knowing that he’s being loved & cared for! They always send plenty of updates and truly are the sweetest family. Gator & I are their biggest fans!!!”

“It's a return stay for Toto. He probably got more pampered by Bo & Xiaosong than from us. We received constant update videos, photos, and messages every single day. Bo & Xiaosong are great hosts. Thank you!”

“Yang has a wonderful caring family that loves animals. My dog can be scared and nervous about new people and other dogs but he loved Yang and her family. Because of my dog’s behavior, she agreed to do a trial stay. I appreciate how Yang kept me updated on how my dog is doing.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Concord
Phyllis and John are wonderful petsitters. They responded very promptly to the original request and every message afterward; were super flexible wrt drop off and pickup times; and took excellent loving care of our senior boxer. It was obvious she had a wonderful time with them.

Sandra and her husband are fantastic! They have a lovely place and clearly have TONS of experience with dogs. Ike stayed with them for a long weekend and I received regular updates and observations that clearly indicated with they were being attentive and caring. I would not hesitate to recommend them and secretly hope they don't decide to get another dog of their own so Ike can go back (shhhh).

I couldn’t be happier with the care my Newfoundland received! Jessie was absolutely amazing - she handled my big puppy with so much love and confidence. Communication was excellent from start to finish; I always felt updated and at ease knowing he was in great hands. My dog had an amazing time and came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I’d highly recommend Jessie to anyone looking for a trustworthy and genuinely caring sitter!

We had an excellent experience with Sawyer! Sawyer took amazing care of Luna, kept us updated every day with messages and adorable photos, and went above and beyond by dropping her off at our home when we arrived late. Truly thoughtful, reliable, and caring service—we couldn't have asked for more!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
