“Lilith and her family are so nice and sent so many great pics of Snooki. I could tell she was well cared for and loved while we were gone. The home is pristine and in a great neighborhood for pups. Will definitely leave Snooki with Liliya again!”

“Kaylee was awesome with our ~90lb dog. She always sent pics and updates. We were never worried during our vacation because she kept us posted. Our dog gets very nervous when we leave and so she added extra treats to his food to make sure that he eats. It was very kind of her. Her dog and cat were comfortable with our big dog as well. Highly recommend her. Will certainly go to her again.”

“Julie watched our dog Winnie for a week while we were in Ohio, and she was absolutely great. She was very personable, kept us updated the whole time on how Winnie was doing, and sent plenty of pictures, which we really appreciated. I was a little worried because Winnie can be a lot to handle sometimes, but Julie did amazing with her and Winnie clearly loved her. We would definitely use her again and highly recommend her!”

About: I got my first dog when I was 10. She was a puppy when I got her and was the love of my life. She taught me responsibility, patience, love, gentleness, and kindness. In my adulthood I fostered a sweet dog for two years before I had my children. Now I’m a single mom who is looking to help care for your dog during the times my children are not with me. I’m a single mom on a parenting schedule. I would care for your pet on the weekends my children are with their dad. During that time I would be readily available and have a lot of flexibility. I can easily come to your home and care for your pet as requested. I live in a single family home with a walking trail across the street. No fenced yard.

“Sarah made sure Watson enjoyed his stay and even made new friends. He was happy to see me at the end but not frantic--a sign that he felt comfortable there. I was grateful to be able to relax on my trip knowing he was in good hands with a caring family. Would definitely leave him there again!”

“Michele and her family were warm and friendly towards our dog Polly. Polly enjoyed the company of Michele’s pets. And Michele took Polly on long walks and she seemed happy and relaxed when we picked her up.”

“Even though I have never left my dog with a pet sitter before and was nervous about leaving him, Yulia put my mind at ease when I met her. I would definitely leave him with her again.”

“We're hapoy to share that Dexter had an amazing 4-night stay with Kavita! She went above and beyond, keeping us updated regularly. What truly impressed us was her attentiveness to Dexter's specific needs - she quickly picked up on his resource guarding issue and handled it with care. Unlike other sitters, Kavita's insight and expertise made all the difference. After 5 years of using various pet care services, we can confidently say this experience was one of the best. We highly recommend Kavita's home as a warm and welcoming haven for your furry friend - it's truly a home away from home!”

“We boarded our dog and cat for a week. Likun is very experienced and attentive in taking care of both cats and dogs. We received daily updates and she also replied to our messages very promptly. Her Border Collie is so sweet and gentil. Our puppy was really happy she has a mature big sister and perfect playmate! The home is well equipped to take care of multiple pets and her backyard is perfect for dogs to play in.”

“Jennifer took such good care of Archie and his special medical needs. He did not seem stressed at all. She sent me updates multiple times daily. I would highly recommend her.”

“Yick was communicative, caring, and so responsible with our hollie. They went out of their way to handle her pick up and drop offs and made the whole travel plan work out completely without any stress.”

“Arnav and his family took excellent care of my dog Bongo. He sent us regular photos, was quick on communication, and was flexible when our return flight was cancelled. Bongo came home tired and happy. I hope I have another occasion for Bongo to stay with Arnav!”

“Aline was amazing! She was very easy to communicate with and kept us updated throughout the entire time. We really appreciated all the photos she sent—they showed how happy and comfortable Coco was. She paid attention to every detail and made sure our baby was safe and happy the whole time. Coco had such a great time with her! I will definitely book Aline again in the future. Thank you so much, Aline!”

“Elaine is wonderful! This was my first time using Rover and being new to the area, my dog is still adjusting and can have some separation anxiety. Elaine sent photos and text updates, so I knew he was doing well! I felt really comfortable knowing he was relaxing in her home instead of in a kennel. Thank you, Elaine!”

“Gabriel was great!! He was able to accommodate our two dogs very last minute (since our return flights were cancelled and we needed a new sitter) and then again he was very flexible to continue looking after our dogs when our flights were rescheduled multiple days later by the airlines. We appreciated the great communication and our boys were tired when we picked them up which is not an easy feat for our Australian Cattle Dog puppy! he definitely gave them lots of exercise and attention. Would definitely recommend and will be keeping his contact handy!”

“I strongly recommend Michiko and Clifford. I truly appreciate how well they took care of Juju. She always looked so happy in the photos they sent me. Juju seemed comfortable, relaxed, and joyful the whole time. They took her on wonderful walks around the neighborhood, to the hills, parks and through nature. I feel so lucky to have found them. Thank you so much for everything”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Acton
We had a great experience with Marla and her husband. It was our first time leaving our 2 kitties (11 month old siblings, Bella and Bozo) and we were wary about having them stay at someone else’s home vs having someone come to our house. We only had them for about 2 months before leaving them. We weren’t sure how they’d react to being away from home with new people and other cats. Marla had a separate room that the kitties have as their own if desired. They were brought right into the separate where they were able to familiarize themselves with their new surroundings and different smells of a new place and other kitties. Marla’s cats were kept in their bedroom so as to allow our kitties time to adjust. It didn’t take long for them to begin exploring their new environment. We left them feeling very comfortable knowing that they would be taken well care of. Apparently, our initial fears were all for nothing because they settled in quickly and seemed to enjoy themselves. We received pictures daily that eased our worries while we were away. They had perches to sit on and watch the birds outside and there were a lot of toys and scratching posts to enjoy. I highly recommend Marla to anyone who has never left their cat before, and to anyone who has left their cat before and may not have had a good experience. BK
Kaylee was wonderful with my pup, Allie, who took to her right away. Allie tends to be anxious and appreciated Kaylee‘s calm and gentle approach. Kaylee administered her meds and kept her on her usual schedule and she kept me posted on how Allie was doing while I was away. I would highly recommend Kaylee.

I’m always jealous of my dog when I drop her off for boarding with Evan. The setting is so beautiful with the pond right there, beautiful tall trees and plenty of trails for adventures. During the week Evan sent pictures multiple times a day and quickly responded whenever I reached out. I really appreciate that he only takes one dog at a time because my dog is big and can be a lot to handle. Would recommend 10/10.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
