“Sarah was absolutely fantastic with our older aged GSD. Her retriever got along great with our dog and we were very pleased with the level of care provided for our pup when it came to food accommodations (our pup gets anxious when we leave and struggles to eat sometimes). Needless to say, Sarah went above and beyond and we couldn’t be more appreciative of the extraordinary care for our dog as well as all of the communication and photos she provided during the stay. Lastly, Sarah was quite flexible and accommodating with meet and greets, drop off times and pickup times. 10/10 and highly recommend! Thank you Sarah!”

“Maeve greets Leo like he is her family member! He happily runs in and is at home immediately. She texts me photos every day and is accomodating when my drop off and pick up times are in flux. Great dog sitter!”

“We boarded our two large pups with Sara for the weekend and it was a relief to leave them in the hands of someone with a lot of experience. They had a great time and came home exhausted from a lot of play time in the snow. We will definitely be booking more nights with Sara in the future. Thank you!”

“Thank you Riven for taking in Remi on such short notice. I appreciate the help so much!! Remi liked being there so definitely would like to have you sit for her again.”

“Livia was very cooperative of our flight schedules. She accommodated last minute schedule changes. Sent us pictures of the pet every day. Bella came back home very calm and composed. I will surely use Livia again for pet sitting.”

“Peter took great care of my dog, Ben for 9 days. Ben came home happy, well fed and a little tired which I expected. I received multiple photos and updates from Peter, who has a pleasant disposition and was very flexible with my adjustment of pick up time. I will use Peter again.”

“This is the 3rd time I’ve used Mary and she’s just great. Not only does she take great care of my dog, but she’s very flexible and accommodating. She is definitely my go to dog sitter when I’m up in MA.”

“Bridget was great! We appreciated the updates and photos while we were away—they gave us complete confidence that Willow was in excellent hands. Bridget was a prompt and clear communicator, and her attentiveness to our dog’s needs was genuinely appreciated. We would be delighted to work with her again!”

“This was the first time Mliss watched my nervous dog and he did great. Good communication with updates and pics each morning. I’ll definitely book with her again.”

“I would like to take a minute and say thank you to Mellisa and her family. My dog stayed twice with them and both times I was getting back happy and satisfied pet. Melissa and her family provided everything my dog needed: love, care and attention. They took my dog on regular walks, played fetch, and provided a lots of hugs. Every day during my dog's stay, Melissa sent me pictures and short updates on how my dog was doing. My vacation could not be more enjoyable without knowing that my dog in good hands and happy. I am highly recommending Melissa. If you care and love your dog, she is the right dog sitter for you.”

“Shea & Damien are literally the best! I am usually very over protective of my pets so it’s hard for me to find sitters but I have definitely found my go to! They made me feel so comfortable leaving my dogs with them & my dogs loved spending time with them. Fenced in yard & clean house - I’ll choose them every time. Thank you again!!”

“Excellent experience. Sara seemed professional, friendly, and very on top of things. She stayed in close touch about our little guy, and Kiwi seemed in good spirits both during his visit and after. I'd also specifically flag her location as a bonus—the house has a good yard and it's on a small, low-traffic side street, which always makes me feel better.”

“Yvonne was EXTREMELY caring & loving to our girl. Followed all of our instructions perfectly, gave dog lots of walk, tons of love & her little girl was SO sweet with our pupper — reading her stories, helping give her meds & even gave her a puppet show!! I would not hesitate to send our girl back to her - ultimate professional!!!”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up with multiple family dogs taught me early on that every dog has their own unique personality, needs, and quirks—and I love getting to know them all. In addition to being a lifelong dog lover, I spent four years working as a professional dog bather at PetSmart, where I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. That experience helped me become comfortable handling everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I also have experience administering medications, including oral medications and insulin injections, so you can feel confident that your pet's health needs will be carefully managed while they're in my care. Whether your dog is looking for a walking buddy, a cuddle companion, or someone to stick to their routine while you're away, I'll treat them with the same love, attention, and respect that I would give my own pets. Currently open to boarding throughout the year, for dogs able to stay indoors for 8 hours. Weekday Dog walking and dog day care available through beginning of August. I have no other pets in the home! I have a single family ranch style home with a yard. I am also within walking distance from a rail trail. I do also enjoy hiking and would be able to take your pets on wooded adventures!
“We have been bringing our dog Pepper to Tamara and her family for several years now. It is comforting to know Pepper is well cared for when we are away. Sometimes she doesn’t want to leave! 10/10, highly recommend!”

“We left our cat Billie at Jessie and her family’s house. She did a meet and greet before boarding and took the time to get to know Billie before we went ahead! She was knowledgeable and very caring! Billie loved it there and we got so many videos/pics/updates. I had specific directions for feeding and they followed directions very well. Also really loved Jessie’s Parents as they were always there so Billie always had someone taking care of him if Jessie had to go out. Definitely will book again and so happy to have finally found a reliable sitter ❤️”

“Our dog Luna had a great time during her stay with Krista and Henry! It was clear that she was well cared for and happy. It was so great to have that peace of mind while we were traveling!”

Julia was amazing! She kept me updated with messages and adorable photos, and Mango looked like he was having the best time of his life. She even got him to eat, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I picked him up, he was happy, clean, and well cared for. I highly recommend Julia and would definitely book with her again!

Anastasia did a fantastic job watching our Goldendoodles for 2 nights. We are from out of town traveling with 2 dogs that had never been boarded before. Any anxiousness I was feeling about leaving them completely went away after meeting her. She’s very friendly and bubbly and I can tell she really cares about the pets in her care. We had a phone consultation before boarding where we went over everything, so I felt comfortable with her services. She checked in with photos so I could see that my dogs were having a blast playing with the other dogs. I would highly recommend her for your dog care needs. Thank you again Anastasia!

Randy and his family treated our Border Collie mix Ruby like she was their own. Upon arrival I could tell they truly loved dogs. They put Ruby at ease the minute they met her. The cost was less than previous boardings we've used in the past by far without the add-ons at checkout. Very affordable. Not to mention the individual attention they provided. I would not hesitate using Randy again. I'm sure Ruby would love to visit them again. There was very good communication before and during Ruby's stay. When we picked Ruby up I almost felt she would have loved to have stayed another day. We'll be back.... Thank for everything, Ron P.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
