“Our dog Baily had such a great time with Maeve that we didn’t think he would want to leave. Maeve is very conscientious to each individual dog’s needs (she takes great note!). I would highly recommend anyone to have their dog stay with Maeve. She’s great”

“Xiaoxue was a life saver. My wife and I are traveling and she fell and broke her hip. So I needed someone right away to help look after our dog. Xiaoxue accommodated us right away. And she was flexible when we needed help longer than we originally expected. She gave our dog good walks and lots of loving. And she kept in touch with pictures to let us know how he was doing. We would absolutely recommend her as a great caretaker!”

“Jace was wonderful with Luna! He kept us in the loop with clear communication, updates, and photos, and made sure she was well cared for. It was wonderful knowing she was happy and getting lots of walks while we were away. I highly recommend Jace and would definitely book with him again!”

“One more time Robert and his family took great care of our dog during our vacation week. Always responsive, regularly posting pictures of her having fun and very flexible with pickup schedules.”

“Aline was amazing! She was very easy to communicate with and kept us updated throughout the entire time. We really appreciated all the photos she sent—they showed how happy and comfortable Coco was. She paid attention to every detail and made sure our baby was safe and happy the whole time. Coco had such a great time with her! I will definitely book Aline again in the future. Thank you so much, Aline!”

“Nancy was great with our dog. She has two dogs of her on and we set up a time before to meet her dogs where to make sure they got along. Nancy had a great set up at the house with a fenced in back yard and allowed our dog to sleep anywhere her wanted even in the bed with the other dogs. She sent daily pictures and updates which were nice to see. I would recommend her to take care of your dog.”

“Michael was kind enough to agree to take care of my two boys at the last minute. They had a great time with him. He was responsive immediately, updating and sending pics of my furry boys . Definitely they will be back. Thank you Michael for giving them a great time at your house.”

“Sarah was absolutely fantastic with our older aged GSD. Her retriever got along great with our dog and we were very pleased with the level of care provided for our pup when it came to food accommodations (our pup gets anxious when we leave and struggles to eat sometimes). Needless to say, Sarah went above and beyond and we couldn’t be more appreciative of the extraordinary care for our dog as well as all of the communication and photos she provided during the stay. Lastly, Sarah was quite flexible and accommodating with meet and greets, drop off times and pickup times. 10/10 and highly recommend! Thank you Sarah!”

“We had an amazing experience with Melissa. She took care of our little Chasey, sent us photos daily, and she was calm and relaxed. We will definitely visit her again. ❤️”

“Jacqueline and her daughter does an amazing job with Colton. Colton was sick and she gave him a bath and got his diarrhea under control. She offered great suggestions on his diet and really cares about Colton. I’m always at peace when I leave Colton with them. It’s his second home. If you decide to book Jacqueline you won’t regret it. Colton came home happy and there were no signs he was sick.”

“Radhika is obviously a lovely person and it was nice to meet her. She sent pictures and let his know our dog was settling in and doing well. She responded quickly and was flexible and kind when we had issues with delays.”

“Yingying and her family took such wonderful and thoughtful care of Max! He was a spoiled and happy boy while staying with them. Highly recommend and would happily rebook in the future.”

“Jacky is literally THE BEST! Our 12-year-old goldendoodle stayed with Jacky for two weeks this spring while we were on an international trip. Jacky took such wonderful care of our dog – multiple walks a day in parks and wooded trails, playtime in the yard, and plenty of hugs. We also received daily updates with photos, which made us feel comfortable and happy that our dog was doing so well. I’ve recommended Jacky to our friends and we will definitely be contacting her again!”

“My dog stayed for a weekend with Alex. We got updates of him hanging out in the couch and playing in the yard. My dog had a potty accident at her place, but Alex cleaned up the mess and dog bed for us. She also seemed understanding of my dog’s anxiety issues.”

“Yick -hong is fantastic. My dog has some stranger danger, so I’m always nervous with new boarders, but he seemed to feel right at home. Lots of pics and updates, highly recommend.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Northborough
Had a great experience boarding my dog with Gabriel. He made himself available for a meet and greet ahead of time to understand my dog’s needs and temperament. He also sent videos and pictures during her stay. The only thing is that when I picked her up she was extremely thirsty to the point I had to give her water in the car on the ride back, but I can’t confirm if that was because of water not being available there or because of the heat warning.

My Chihuahua mix Billy has boarded at Briana’s place three times in the last few months. I feel absolutely at-ease knowing he is well cared for and she sends the best pictures of him having fun in her home. Would highly recommend and already have Briana booked for future trips.

Chelsea goes above and beyond with our Lumos. He loves staying with her and is well cared for and loved. We don't worry at all when we are on vacation and Lumos is with Chelsea. We love receiving photos of him every day. Highly recommend Chelsea (and her pup, Paisley!)

Melissa is wonderful! We liked her so much that we rebooked with her within a week of picking up our Charlie after a 3 week stay. Charlie had just been diagnosed with hip dysplasia, so we were a little reticent to leave him. Melissa was nothing short of a dog whisperer! She knew just what to do! She sent photos every day, which really put us at ease. Don’t hesitate to leave your fur baby with Melissa! She’s the best!!

Hannah is fantastic! Our dog is anxious around strangers and new dogs, and this was the first time using Rover. Hannah did a great job at easing our minds and sent us a lot of pictures of Loena enjoying herself. I highly recommend her and if needed we will bring Loena again to Hannah!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
