Kim is professional, trustworthy, and gets along with our pet extremely well. Originally we were going to hire Kim for about three months due to our health but it’s stretched out almost 6 months now. We give Kim our highest recommendation.

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals and my hands-on experience caring for pets every day. I help my mom care for our two dogs and also have three cats of my own, so I'm very familiar with the daily needs, routines, and personalities of both dogs and cats. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and making pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, administering basic care, or simply giving them attention and affection, I treat every pet like they're part of the family. While I don't have professional training experience, I'm comfortable caring for pets of different ages and energy levels, including puppies who need extra patience and supervision, as well as senior pets who may require a gentler approach and more attentive care. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and nothing makes me happier than spending time with dogs and cats. My goal is to make sure every pet feels loved, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already help care for my family's two dogs and three cats. I'm used to feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning up after pets, giving them attention, and making sure they're comfortable and happy throughout the day. Since I'm home for the summer, my schedule is very flexible, which allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including walks, drop-in visits, feeding schedules, playtime, and companionship. I have plenty of availability throughout the week and can adjust my routine to meet the specific needs of each pet and their owner. My flexible schedule also means I can provide consistent care and give pets the attention they deserve. I love spending time with animals and making sure they feel happy, safe, and comfortable. I enjoy playing fetch, giving them lots of attention, and spending quality time snuggling and bonding with them. I often join my mom on long walks with our dogs, so I am comfortable exercising and caring for pets of different energy levels. I am responsible, patient, and knowledgeable about basic pet care, including feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning up after pets, and following their daily routines. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always make their well-being my top priority.

Ivan is an excellent dog sitter. He obviously loves dogs and he was attentive, calm, and thoughtful in his care. This was my first time using a dog sitter for taking my dog for walks, and I couldn't have gotten luckier in choosing Ivan to take my dog to the park and care obout my pet. Ivan takes the responsibility seriously and understands my dog behavior rather than treating it as a checklist. My dog usually has the anxieties. Ivan found the way to calm my dog and communicate with wonderful care. After couple walks withIvan my dog is very excited, waiting for Ivan to come and go to the park. Ivan isd professional, reliable, and easy to communicate with throughout. I felt confident leaving my dog in his care and would not hesitate to book Ivan again. I am highly recommend Ivan service.

Louca worked wonders for us and our super reactive miniature dachshund. His patience, knowledge, and professional and positive attitude were a huge relief after searching for and failing to find someone to look after our dog when we were away for short periods. Louca has given us so much hope for our little puppy’s future and we look forward to working with him again! Thank you Louca !!

We originally asked Caroline if she could walk and feed our two dogs as we were planning to a long day trip. However, we woke up to find our oldest dog not doing very well. It turned out that he had cancer and that we would have to put him down. It was a long agonizing day trying of running tests and considering options before finally deciding that the most humane treatment would be to euthanize. Through all this, we are thankful to Caroline who took care of our remaining fur children--a dog and a cat. It was a great relief to not have to think or worry about them so we could focus on our oldest dog in his time of need.

Mark has been fantastic! He comes in and greets Charlie as though she is his own. He even deals with her excitement jumping and hand biting which is her way of saying “hi”. He’s been extremely patient with her as she’s been a little weird on her walks and not always the most agreeable. Mark is always very responsive and communicative. I would highly recommend Mark!

About: My husband and I live with our 7 and 4 yr old girls in a sidewalk lined Westborough neighborhood. In your reservation, please mention any behavioral patterns or phobias. (Does your dog take a while to do business outside? Does he or she squat several times? How long can he or she go without potty breaks? Do we have a runner?) Bring your pup, I'll bring the love and care! P.S. Please bring a crate for your dog if in the past, your dog has gotten into things and chewed. Many dog owners find themselves surprised that their dogs may exhibit destructive behavior at a sitter's house that they do not exhibit at home, like chewing and tearing things up. Your dog, in this case, will only be crated while we are out of the house. My husband works full-time, while I am home intermittently. But your baby will get lots of attention. During the weekdays, the house sits empty anywhere 3-5hrs. Your pet must be OK with that. I grew up with dogs: Scottish Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, Rottweiler, Dachshunds, Chinese Crested, and Silky Terriers are the dogs my family members have owned and loved in my lifetime. I have no dogs of my own (anymore), but two little girls who just love and crave a dog in the house. If your dog is a no-no on little kids, this will not be a good fit for you.

I have booked Julia for countless walks because she takes excellent care of my puppy, ZuZu! She has always gone the extra mile to communicate with me and give ZuZu all the exercise and attention she needs. Zuzu is a very energetic dog and can be challenging to walk at times, but Julia has always been on top of doing what works best for her to get her energy out! She always sends plenty of pictures and makes sure ZuZu has what she needs before she leaves. She is awesome with having a flexible schedule and responding super quick to my last minute requests and schedule changes. I will absolutely keep using her to care for my girl!

About: I have had animals in my life all my life. I am comfortable working with dogs, cats, and small animals. I have also worked with animals that have special needs, specifically related to senior care. I am capable of giving meds and shots to animals. I currently work part-time for myself so I'm able to schedule around your animal's needs. I am able to walk animals up to three times today. The most important thing for an animal is to feel safe while it's owners are away. I am here to follow any routines that your pet already has to maintain a sense of security and calm.

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life. Now I have 2 cats of my own which I adore. I love getting outside for walks any time of day and can do as long as your dog wants to! We just moved and I will not be working until a spot in daycare opens for my son. I can do daily drop-in’s and walks any day of the week. Mattie has been such an amazing find for us! She has been a perfect fit for both Rocky and Milo. He warmed up to her so quickly and always comes back happy and well taken care of. Even my cat is obsessed with her now, mainly because she brings the good lobster treats 😂. It’s such a relief knowing my pets are in such kind and trustworthy hands. Especially, with her vet background, i feel so comfortable with her. highly recommend her!

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
