Ben has been great with our new puppy! He’s very patient, and was able to take the time to get our puppy to warm up to him. He’s also very punctual and professional. We’ll defiantly be using Ben in the future!

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on experience caring for both children and pets. I have two dogs of my own and regularly dog-sit for a variety of breeds, so I’m comfortable with different temperaments, routines, and energy levels. I’m patient, responsible, and attentive to individual needs—whether that means helping with basic puppy training, following detailed care instructions, or providing extra support for senior pets. My experience and nurturing approach help me create a safe, loving, and reliable environment for every family and pet I care for. I’m currently working at an elementary school during the week but I am available late afternoons/nights and some weekends to come play with your pets! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow the routine and instructions provided to keep things as familiar and stress-free as possible. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection, and receive any needed medications or special care. I keep the home clean and tidy, respect the space, and provide updates to owners so they feel confident their pets are safe and happy. My goal is to treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would my own.

About: I have had animals in my life all my life. I am comfortable working with dogs, cats, and small animals. I have also worked with animals that have special needs, specifically related to senior care. I am capable of giving meds and shots to animals. I currently work part-time for myself so I'm able to schedule around your animal's needs. I am able to walk animals up to three times today. The most important thing for an animal is to feel safe while it's owners are away. I am here to follow any routines that your pet already has to maintain a sense of security and calm.

Ivan is an excellent dog sitter. He obviously loves dogs and he was attentive, calm, and thoughtful in his care. This was my first time using a dog sitter for taking my dog for walks, and I couldn't have gotten luckier in choosing Ivan to take my dog to the park and care obout my pet. Ivan takes the responsibility seriously and understands my dog behavior rather than treating it as a checklist. My dog usually has the anxieties. Ivan found the way to calm my dog and communicate with wonderful care. After couple walks withIvan my dog is very excited, waiting for Ivan to come and go to the park. Ivan isd professional, reliable, and easy to communicate with throughout. I felt confident leaving my dog in his care and would not hesitate to book Ivan again. I am highly recommend Ivan service.

I have booked Julia for countless walks because she takes excellent care of my puppy, ZuZu! She has always gone the extra mile to communicate with me and give ZuZu all the exercise and attention she needs. Zuzu is a very energetic dog and can be challenging to walk at times, but Julia has always been on top of doing what works best for her to get her energy out! She always sends plenty of pictures and makes sure ZuZu has what she needs before she leaves. She is awesome with having a flexible schedule and responding super quick to my last minute requests and schedule changes. I will absolutely keep using her to care for my girl!

Louca worked wonders for us and our super reactive miniature dachshund. His patience, knowledge, and professional and positive attitude were a huge relief after searching for and failing to find someone to look after our dog when we were away for short periods. Louca has given us so much hope for our little puppy’s future and we look forward to working with him again! Thank you Louca !!

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life and love animals more than anything! I am comfortable with dogs and cats of all sizes and can even help take care of your other small pets if needed. I have 10 years of experience working with/training dogs and would love to help you out with your furry friends! I currently have open availability! I have a few dogs who have long standing daily spots in my schedule but there is still plenty of time for me to help out with your fur babies! I will be giving your pets my undivided attention the entire time they are in my care. I never walk multiple dogs together (unless they are from the same household) and only let them off leash in a well secured fenced in area. The rest is up to you, let me know what you are comfortable with and I will happily abide.

We originally asked Caroline if she could walk and feed our two dogs as we were planning to a long day trip. However, we woke up to find our oldest dog not doing very well. It turned out that he had cancer and that we would have to put him down. It was a long agonizing day trying of running tests and considering options before finally deciding that the most humane treatment would be to euthanize. Through all this, we are thankful to Caroline who took care of our remaining fur children--a dog and a cat. It was a great relief to not have to think or worry about them so we could focus on our oldest dog in his time of need.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Berlin. On Rover:

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
