About: I grew up on a farm and have cared for a variety of animals all throughout my life. Currently, I help care/walk for my sister's small dog while she is out, and am raising my own German Shepherd who is currently 7 months old. I walk my pup on a daily basis, and walk my family's huskies when I visit them. I have always loved animals, especially dogs.I am safe and reliable when it comes to caring for all pets! I have a full-time job M-F, but am always available on weekends to spend some time walking your pup! As I am just starting out on Rover, I will be available on Sundays, 8am to 3pm. I am currently only doing walks, and will be able to come to your home. Whether it is 30 minutes or an hour, your pup will be safe with me as we explore the outdoors!

Dori B.

“My pup just loves Dori and smothers her with kisses. Dori is great to work with and very flexible.”

I’m trustworthy I come with references and referrals, you can trust in me to take care of your best friend your family member who is your pet just like mine. I love all animals all shapes sizes every single one of them. Thank you so much and I hope to be working with you soon. Well, I take care of my pets, every single day, providing them with fresh water, and making sure they have food, and daily dog walks many times a day, and making sure the puppy pad is down when I’m sleeping, I am the dog father, and the cat father, they are my children. They are my family. They are my life I understand because I am an animal person. I always have been. First of all, making sure your pet is the comfortable with me. That’s the first thing second making sure your needs are met and your pets needs like changing the water making sure the food is fresh, and if you have a cat well of course, I’ll sift out the cat box making sure the water is clean and fresh whether it’s spring water or tapwater but I recommend springwater. Making sure your dog gets his daily walk and ample time for him to do his business or her business, I will take care of your pets Like they are my own, because pets are family. My pet, my dogs and my cat are my life. They are my happiness and my joy and I know that your animals are yours as well. I look forward to working with you all and your pets.

About: My first experience in caring for pets started in 2008 with a family friend's dog, a chiuaua-terrier mix named Moco. Shortly after, my mother's clients asked my sister and me to stay overnight and watch their two dogs, Bella (king charles spaniel) and Calf (hound). We enjoyed getting away from home and adored dogs so much, that we gladly accepted the opportunity. Throughout the years many more opportunities came up through word of mouth, and now I have a handful of regular clients that appreciate the love and attention that we spoil their pets with. In 2019 I adopted my first rescue from a foster based organization, Last Hope K9 Rescue. It was a long 6 months to get approved, be placed on 7 waiting lists for a single meet and greet, and for my rescue to finally find me. My very own beautiful angel of a terrier mix, Sprinkles, was officially adopted in mid July. Within our first two years of being together, I was a classic nervous NEW dog mom. I was always googling symptoms, reading up on which foods were safe, watching first-aid care videos on youtube, and work closely with a trainer. Sprinkles has taught me how to be the best dog mom ever! With all the knowledge that I have gained, I now apply to every single dog that I meet and have the opportunity to nurture! The summer of 2022, we joined the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters where we took multiple courses on managing a pet business and pet care for many species including exotic pets like chinchillas. In addition, ensured Pawsitively Care with the Business Insurers of the Carolinas. Then, we designed our own website, and went live on Rover to reach as many families as we could. To think that it all started with... ...the need of a house sitter for two dogs whose owners traveled to Israel (2008 - 2021) ...the need of a dog sitter for three dogs whose humans wanted to spend time out together again (2022) ...the need of a dog walker for a new puppy who's humans travel for work (2023) ...the need of a home to board a dog whose owners were in between moving to Arizona (2023) A little about me: My long-term goal is to become a veterinarian. I am currently working towards my BS in Chemistry part time and work 9am-3pm as a teacher. A little about my sister: Liliann is 18 years old, she lives with me, and has been working closely alongside me in the pet care business for three years. She is familiar with picky eaters, resource guarding behaviors, first-aid for minor wounds, a variety of purebred, mixed, and specific breeds. She is also familiar with high, moderate, and low energy dogs, puppies, and senior dogs. She is a mini me. Liliann is fantastic with pets, always eager to meet new guests, and reliable team player while I am at work. Pawsitively Cares exists because of our clients. We are here to help! We will say yes 95% of the time! BOARDING Boarding $55/ night Puppy rate $60/ night Holiday rate $66/ night +$8/ additional dog MTWRF: Drop off times: 7AM – 8:30AM & Pick up times: 4PM and any time after Saturday & Sunday: Drop off/ Pick up times: no restrictions. *Last minute bookings (under 24 hours) are subject to availability. *Note: If any of the times above do not work within your booking, we can accommodate by picking up at your residence the night prior to your booking and or drop off the morning after the booking at no additional cost* We board two dogs at a time only since we already have Sprinkles (4 yrs, spayed female, terrier mix). What to bring for boarding: There are no restrictions. Some pet parents bring their pet’s crate with their pet’s favorite toys, blanket, treats, and food with food bowls, pre-prepped meals, and medication. Other pet parents bring a bag with a toy, food, and waste bags. I’ve even had a pet parent bring just their pet, leash, and kibble that their pet refused to eat. The point is, whatever you think is necessary and suited for your pet’s needs and style will work. Regardless, we are experienced pet sitters, seen it all, and made it all work. We are equipped with all dog necessities from bowls, toys, treats, leashes, tons of waste bags, Cesar kibble and wet food, and much more! There is no right or wrong item to bring for when we board your pet, as long as we are aware of the important - diet, allergies, temperament, or other. About Sprinkles: She is a rescue from Arkansas! Sprinkles is a spayed female, 36 lbs., four-year-old terrier mix (18.4%. bichon Frise, 18.1% Labrador Retriever, 13.5% Golden Retriever, 12.9% Dachshund, 9.4% American Pit Bull Terrier, 7.7% Beagle, 6.4% Rat Terrier, 13.6% Supermutt). YES, Sprinkles is up to date on all her vaccines (July 2023). She is great with dogs similar in size and or smaller. Sprinkles enjoys meeting new guests after she gets her sniffs in. Afterwards, she will do one of two things, move on, or bow to play! She is playful with most dogs and will show them the ropes in the apartment, great for curious and inquisitive dogs. When meeting a shy or timid dog, she will move on and respect their space similar to high energy dogs. With high energy dogs, she will often get away and find a quiet place to stay. Outdoors is slightly different, as she loves to play tag and chase moderate energy to high energy dogs. She will only play with low energy dogs if they propose to play first. DOGS - Overnight Stays House sitting $95/ night Puppy rate: $100/ night Holiday rate $125/ night +$8/ additional dog As crazy it may sound, having sleepovers with your dog(s) is my favorite pet care service! I maintain routine by sticking to your pet's feeding schedule (or making sure bowls are full), frequent potty breaks, and plenty opportunity for play or down time whichever your pet(s) prefer! CATS - Drop-In Visits 30 minutes $17 (flat rate) While you're away, I will continue with litter box cleaning, feeding, provide fresh water, medication(s), and play. In addition, water plants, grab mail, bring in delivered packages, and rotate lights. When meeting new clients, I do offer a meet & greet (in person, video call, text, or phone call), that way we both get to know each other and discuss all needs and expectations from the start. My goal is to get understand your pet's personality, routine, pet peeves, and what your pet enjoys best! Most of our clients appreciate that we provide overnight stays due to the fact that their pet resumes in their safe place, where everything they know and are familiar with is. I stay in the home for the majority of the time with very rare outings for errands. When I do step out, I communicate with client and stay out no longer than 4 hours. We also offer boarding services where pets may roam free (allowed on all furniture) since I do not crate pets, unless your pet loves their cozy crate. Google Nest cameras are located throughout the apartment for safety and security. We strive to maintain a clean and healthy environment for your pet, which includes regularly changing out pee-pads, using pet-safe sanitizing supplies, bathing your pet after playing in mud, light grooming to avoid matting, and much more! We make the most out of the time spent with your pet for a number or reasons. Those reasons include but are not limited to, your pet has bad days too, boredom is a risk, and your pet’s social support network is important! Your pet has bad days to. Like you, they feel stress and anxiety. But they can't scroll a phone to escape. That is where we come in by giving sniff breaks on walks, where they can release their worries by sniffing the world around them. A simple gesture of freedom to melt their struggles away. In addition, pets that pull on leash who participate in this activity get to experience the environment in a less exciting way, perfect to explore safely. Mental stimulation and puzzles for your pet exercise their mind and tires the body. Bored dogs age faster, so we find intriguing ways to keep your pet engaged. Lastly, according to an ASU study (Caspermeyer, 2023), the research team found that more social companionship with both humans and other dogs is associated with better health for dogs. In fact, “the effect of social support was shown to be five times stronger than financial factors” (McCoy, 2023). About: My fiancé and I own a very friendly Rhodesian Ridgeback who loves to play with anyone and every dog. Looking for clients who need boarding and puppy friends for theirs! Will walk dogs in preferred neighborhoods or bring dogs to nature trails for hikes. We are not dog trainers, but have experiencing training our own dogs, and open to discussing some basic dog obedience training if wanted. Currently my fiancé and I both work full time jobs. We can board dogs from Friday evening to Sunday evening for crate trained dogs. If boarding beyond those times are needed we can discuss meeting your pet to determine if it would be a good fit for the dog and my family. House calls in area for pet walking through those same days and times. Pets are allowed anywhere in our townhome and on our furniture. We have a dog park in our townhome community. We also have a 1 year old baby who loves our 70 lbs Ridgeback, so dog and kid friendly pets for boarding are required.
