About: I have hands-on experience caring for geriatric, diabetic, and epileptic dogs and cats, making me comfortable with special needs pets who require extra attention. I’m skilled at administering oral medications, giving insulin injections, and monitoring pets for any changes in their health or behavior. I also have plenty of experience walking dogs of all sizes—from tiny lap pups to large, energetic breeds—always focusing on their safety, comfort, and happiness. I currently work part-time as a Veterinary Assistant, which gives me hands-on experience with animal care and handling in a clinical setting. I’m also a student enrolled in an online Veterinary Technology program, so I’m always learning and expanding my knowledge about animal health and behavior. Because of my flexible schedule, I have availability on some weekdays and weekends for pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. This allows me to combine my passion for animals with my professional training while giving pets the love and attention they deserve when their families can’t be there. Whenever I’m in a home with pets, I make it a priority to tune into their needs, read their body language, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. Every pet has their own personality—some love long walks and playtime, while others just want cuddles and belly rubs. If your pet is the snuggly type, I’m always happy to curl up with them and give all the love, scratches, and attention they need!

About: I have had animals in my life all my life. I am comfortable working with dogs, cats, and small animals. I have also worked with animals that have special needs, specifically related to senior care. I am capable of giving meds and shots to animals. I currently work part-time for myself so I'm able to schedule around your animal's needs. I am able to walk animals up to three times today. The most important thing for an animal is to feel safe while it's owners are away. I am here to follow any routines that your pet already has to maintain a sense of security and calm.

Ivan is an excellent dog sitter. He obviously loves dogs and he was attentive, calm, and thoughtful in his care. This was my first time using a dog sitter for taking my dog for walks, and I couldn't have gotten luckier in choosing Ivan to take my dog to the park and care obout my pet. Ivan takes the responsibility seriously and understands my dog behavior rather than treating it as a checklist. My dog usually has the anxieties. Ivan found the way to calm my dog and communicate with wonderful care. After couple walks withIvan my dog is very excited, waiting for Ivan to come and go to the park. Ivan isd professional, reliable, and easy to communicate with throughout. I felt confident leaving my dog in his care and would not hesitate to book Ivan again. I am highly recommend Ivan service.

Dee saved my bacon. After being left with necessary dog care for a last minute need, she kindly fit in a meet and greet with my precious pup. This is my child. My dog means very much to me. And it was plainly evident that my pup was extremely comfortable when she first met Dee…my dog brought one of her favorite toys to her. By all intents, Dee’s visit with my pup went very well and I did not worry about my dog the entire time I was away from home. She communicated with me to let me know that she was running a little bit late and would be there five minutes after the agreed-upon time which I thought was far above and beyond what I would expect. I trust my dogs assessment of people better than I trust my own. Anybody’s fuzzy children are in good hands with Dee.

Linh was so professional and patient with our pup. She responded quickly to messages in the app and then suggested setting up a meet & greet where she asked great questions about our dog’s routine and habits. Otter is a big dog and on top of that he’s a high energy dog and can be a lot to handle, but Linh was so sweet with him. We’ll definitely be asking Linh to come back to walk Otter!

About: Hi! I’m Yasmin, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’ve never met an animal I didn’t love. I grew up on a farm, so being around animals has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From furry to feathery to scaly, they’ve always had a special place in my heart. Over the years I’ve had all kinds of pets, from hermit crabs and fish to cats and dogs, and I can’t wait to have even more when the time is right! Because I genuinely love animals, I’ve spent a lot of time learning about their care, behavior, and what helps them feel happy and safe. I know every pet is different, and I love getting to know their unique personalities. When I’m not spending time with my own pets, I work as a realtor, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for yours. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just having someone nearby, I’m happy to match their pace and make them feel comfortable while you’re away. I’d love the chance to meet you and your best friend! My goal is to make sure you can leave knowing they’re in loving, reliable hands and maybe make a new furry (or scaly!) friend along the way. 🐾 My schedule is pretty flexible! During the week, I’m typically available after 2:00 PM unless I have a work appointment scheduled. Since I’m a realtor, my schedule can vary from day to day, but I do my best to keep my calendar up to date and communicate any changes. Fridays and weekends are a little less predictable. Some weekends I’m completely available, while others I may be booked with work or personal plans. When I am available on weekends, it’s usually between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. If you have a specific date or time in mind, feel free to reach out! I’m always happy to see if I can make it work for you and your pet. 🐾 While I won’t be caring for pets in my own home, I’d be more than happy to care for them in yours! I know every pet has their own routine, personality, and needs, so I always appreciate detailed instructions. The more information you can share, the better I can make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and well-being will always be my top priorities. I’ll treat them with the same love, patience, and attention I’d give my own pets, and I’ll always keep you updated for extra peace of mind. When it comes to walks, I’m especially mindful during the summer months. I prefer walking dogs on grassy or shaded paths whenever possible, and if it’s too hot outside, I’ll adjust our plans to keep them safe. Hot pavement can burn paw pads, and dogs can overheat quickly, so I always prioritize their comfort and safety over sticking to a schedule.

About: Hi, I’m Katie! I’ve had dogs since I was little and can’t imagine life without them. Right now I have two energetic Australian Cattle Dogs who keep me on my toes, so I’m very used to walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality. Living with two herding dogs has taught me patience, consistency, and how to keep pups both mentally and physically engaged. I’ll treat your pup like one of my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. Can’t wait to meet your furry friend! 🐾 I'm available for house sitting any day of the week, evening drop ins and/or walks as well as weekend stays and drop ins and/or walks if needed :) When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure to follow their usual routines closely, from feeding and walks to playtime and bedtime. I treat the home with respect, keep everything tidy, and make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I provide plenty of attention, exercise, and mental stimulation, and I’m happy to send updates during any visit

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
