About: Hi! I’m Linh - your pet’s favorite aunt. I know how stressful it can feel leaving your pets behind, so my goal is simple: keep their routine consistent, keep them happy, and give you peace of mind while you’re away. I’ve grown up around both dogs and cats and have always loved caring for animals. As a cat owner myself, I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy, patient, and attentive caring for your pets. I also volunteered at an animal shelter when I was younger, which helped me become comfortable with animals of all ages, personalities, and temperaments. You can expect plenty of updates, photos, and communication throughout your booking because I know you’re trusting me with family, not just a pet. I offer flexible weekday and weekend availability for dog walks and drop-in visits and currently service the MetroWest area, including Framingham, Wayland, Natick, and nearby towns. I am currently accepting bookings through September 2026. Availability for October and beyond will be released at a later date. Pet parents looking for weekly walks are always welcome as consistent schedules really help pets feel comfortable and at ease. For housesitting, availability may be more limited depending on the pet’s schedule and care needs. I’m best suited for pets that can be left alone for a few hours at a time. If a date appears unavailable on my calendar, feel free to reach out anyway, as I may still be able to accommodate depending on the time and location. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow owner instructions closely, maintain consistent routines, and adjust activities based on weather, age, health, and energy level. During hot weather, walks may be shortened when needed to prevent overheating, with the remaining time spent on indoor play.

Rachel was amazing with Bert and Maisy. She followed their exact schedule and also exercised them every day multiple times a day. She was very attentive to both doggies especially when Maisy had a bout of illness. She was so communicative and kept me in the loop with how they were doing and sent pictures. I felt so comfortable and reassured they were getting the best care while we were away. I would highly recommend Rachel for your pet sitting needs!! ❤️

About: I’ve grown up with animals my entire life. I worked my first job as a dog groomer and daycare manager for anxious and hard to train dogs. I’m certified in animal CPR and first aid and have experience giving all types of medication. You can trust that I’ll care for your furry friend just as well as you do! I currently work part time in the mornings, so I have all afternoon to spend with your pets! I have less flexibility on weekends, but will try my best to make times work with enough advance notice. I am a respectful guest of the environment I’m in and make sure to give every animal exactly what they need, as well. You can trust that I will take good care of your pet and your space!

About: I've lived with animals since I was 11—including 3 cats and a dog—and my mom has always adopted senior pets with medical needs, so I’m used to gentle care, giving medications, and adapting routines for older or anxious animals. I'm calm, quiet, and patient, which makes me a great match for pets that are shy, reactive, or need a soft presence. I respect animals’ boundaries, take their comfort seriously, and genuinely enjoy being around them—whether that means walks, playtime, or just existing together in peace. I'm especially good with cats and have experience with dogs who need space or structure. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule and prefer part-time work, so I can prioritize animals without feeling rushed. I take my time, move at the pet’s pace, and always make space for their needs. I prioritize calm, quiet, and consistency when coming to clients homes. I respect each animal's space, follow all care instructions exactly, and check in often if something seems off. My goal is to make sure pets feel safe, relaxed, and understood at all times.

Salina did an amazing job taking care of our almost 14 year old sassy and deaf dachshund Bella. Salina spent the week at our home while we went on vacation, and I cannot express what a wonderful job she did. It's not easy earning Bella's trust, but by the end of the week I believe they were best friends! Lots of cuddles and love! The pictures put my heart at ease, I could tell Bella was being lovingly cared for. Salina had to also deal with a power outage for a day at our complex, and also some technical issues that came afterward, and communication was seamless. Also, our home was spotless on our return! Thanks Salina for everything!

About: I have hands-on experience caring for geriatric, diabetic, and epileptic dogs and cats, making me comfortable with special needs pets who require extra attention. I’m skilled at administering oral medications, giving insulin injections, and monitoring pets for any changes in their health or behavior. I also have plenty of experience walking dogs of all sizes—from tiny lap pups to large, energetic breeds—always focusing on their safety, comfort, and happiness. I currently work part-time as a Veterinary Assistant, which gives me hands-on experience with animal care and handling in a clinical setting. I’m also a student enrolled in an online Veterinary Technology program, so I’m always learning and expanding my knowledge about animal health and behavior. Because of my flexible schedule, I have availability on some weekdays and weekends for pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. This allows me to combine my passion for animals with my professional training while giving pets the love and attention they deserve when their families can’t be there. Whenever I’m in a home with pets, I make it a priority to tune into their needs, read their body language, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. Every pet has their own personality—some love long walks and playtime, while others just want cuddles and belly rubs. If your pet is the snuggly type, I’m always happy to curl up with them and give all the love, scratches, and attention they need!

About: I grew up with three dogs, have dog-sat for neighbors, and lived with a cat that I helped care for. I am very energetic and I have cared for puppies and both large and small dogs. I have a full time job with some flexibility, so I am free most evenings/nights and all of Saturday. My Sunday availability is in the morning to mid-day. I am happy to play with and entertain pets, and follow your instructions on feeding, walks, and house rules. I have had an anxious dog, so I want to make sure your pet is comfortable.

Sam was great! Kept us up to date about how Gus was doing. He even inquired about any tips to calm Gus' nerves as he seemed a little anxious at first. And Sam took great care of our home at the same time! He was patient with us, as this was our first House Sitter experience and I couldn't be more thankful!

This was our first time leaving Ellie, our family dog, overnight since we adopted her about 10 months ago. Tristan was truly incredible with her--totally understood her from the start, adored her, and gave her all the love and walks she could want (and more). Ellie can be reactive towards other dogs while on leash but it truly is all bark. Tristan had no trouble navigating neighborhood walks, rewarding her good behavior, and gently refocusing her to him when needed. She zoomed so hard with him in the backyard it was like our 8 year old coonhound became a puppy again! Could not recommend a dog sitter more.

FAQs for House Sitting - Fayville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Fayville on Rover is $111 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 6,771 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Fayville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fayville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fayville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fayville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fayville. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
