“Lucy was super detailed with her notes and photos! The dogs seemed to really love her, and she was super great at making me feel comfortable with my first time using Rover! Would highly recommend!”

“Linh was so professional and patient with our pup. She responded quickly to messages in the app and then suggested setting up a meet & greet where she asked great questions about our dog’s routine and habits. Otter is a big dog and on top of that he’s a high energy dog and can be a lot to handle, but Linh was so sweet with him. We’ll definitely be asking Linh to come back to walk Otter!”

“Brenda is fantastic. Brenda came to meet my dogs before starting. It was important to Brenda (and to me) that Lulu and Charlie were comfortable with her. Brenda is very communicative, friendly, careful/responsible, and wonderful with my pups. She has provided excellent advice and treats my pets as if they were her own. I highly recommend Brenda.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up with multiple family dogs taught me early on that every dog has their own unique personality, needs, and quirks—and I love getting to know them all. In addition to being a lifelong dog lover, I spent four years working as a professional dog bather at PetSmart, where I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. That experience helped me become comfortable handling everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I also have experience administering medications, including oral medications and insulin injections, so you can feel confident that your pet's health needs will be carefully managed while they're in my care. Whether your dog is looking for a walking buddy, a cuddle companion, or someone to stick to their routine while you're away, I'll treat them with the same love, attention, and respect that I would give my own pets. Currently open to boarding throughout the year, for dogs able to stay indoors for 8 hours. Weekday Dog walking and dog day care available through beginning of August. I have no other pets in the home! I have a single family ranch style home with a yard. I am also within walking distance from a rail trail. I do also enjoy hiking and would be able to take your pets on wooded adventures!
“Thanks so much Nikkita for taking Winnie out while I was gone! Nikkita came to meet Winnie the night before which was awesome to put my mind at ease as a new dog owner! She has great communication and was so sweet with Winnie 💕”

“Tricia is reliable, kind, and incredibly thoughtful — her detailed updates and care for Max give us complete peace of mind. We’re so grateful to have found her and highly recommend her! 🐾💛”

“Devon has been walking Millie for several weeks and she is always happy to see her! We love Devon’s Rover Card notes about their time together - nice, personal touch.”

About: My name is Samantha. I am 32 old looking to stay in shape but also have fun with animals too! I have 10 years of dog experience. I volunteered at a shelter, worked at a dog grooming facility and have years of experience with owning my own dog as well as taking care of family dogs. I am available on any weekend days/ nights and after work hours. I can also make arrangements for house sitting during the week. References on request I can offer house sitting , dog sitting in the comfort of someone else’s home. This helps the pet feel more comfortable in their surroundings.
“Responded to a last-minute request and provided prompt response to questions. She was also willing to meet my pup before walking. Showed up on time and was very sweet and patient with my little princess Vizsla!”

About: I have adopted 7 adult/senior rescue dogs over the years. In addition, I’ve enjoyed pet sitting for my friends and neighbors! I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I genuinely love spending time with animals and learning what makes them happy and relaxed! Recently retired to spend more time doing things I love: Taking care of animals is at the top of that list! My time is fairly flexible. I'm especially interested in ad hoc or emergency care. I am a responsible, experienced pet owner and homeowner who is conscientious and loves animals. My calm demeanor helps gain the trust of anxious pets.
“Kate obviously knows her dogs. She’s kind and gentle, yet clearly in charge. Our Bisbee liked her right away - and he’s a bit judge-y about people. Kate’s communications were excellent, she arrived on time, took Bisbee on the walk we requested and returned a happy pup to us. Thanks, Kate!”

About: I took care of my own dog since I was 4 years old, and taken care of my sisters’ dogs for the past three years. I also watched my boyfriend’s 4 cats while they were on vacation for a week. I’m currently working part time at the mall and find myself having a lot of free time that I would love to spend looking after animals. I provide feeding, walks, and play time. I will also of course be respectful of your home and any rules or guidelines that you may have.
“Christie is super reliable and friendly. She walks my elderly mom’s dog (Buddy) twice a day. Buddy gets excited when he sees her arrive. She takes pictures and uses all the features in the Rover app to report out. We are very happy with the service she is providing.”

About: I've grown up with pets my entire life. Started working at a boarding and training facility and finally decided to branch out on my own. Between learning to administer meds for my diabetic cat to training my own dog to be daughters emotional support pet, I have quite a bit of knowledge. I look forward to taking care of others four-legged, fluffy friends as if they were my own! I am looking to fill my life with animals, however possible. I can be available at the drop of a hat to help with anyone's pet care needs. I have a tendency to spoil animals...If you let your dog sleep on the furniture then I will fully condone that and be curled up with them! If your cat gets to share your warm glass of milk before bed, then my milk is their milk!

Linh is fantastic! She has a lot of experience with dogs so I felt very comfortable leaving our two pups in her hands. She followed my instructions, is a great communicator and responds very promptly. She was professional and considerate to ask if her fiance could join her on the walk which I very much appreciated. We have booked her again for house sitting this summer and know that our pups will be in great hands!

Kelsey is amazing! Our dog absolutely loved her and she provided the best care while we were away. She sent us so many pictures, told us how he did each time she walked him and was always going above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable. We will absolutely be using Kelsey again!

Mary was a great communicator, on time, asked thoughtful questions about how to best care for our dog, including where to keep a towel to dry our dog off after being in the rain. Our dog always seemed perfectly happy and exhausted after a good walk with Mary. We are grateful!

Sally is beyond incredible. She went above and beyond her call of duty to make sure our Sawyer was beautifully taken care of. She is an angel with invisible wings taking care of all the worry we had...leaving Sawyer while we away. I highly highly highly recommend Sally for your fur baby's needs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
