About: My experience encompasses daily walks, meticulous feeding schedules, and recognizing subtle signs of distress. I prioritize creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment, ensuring your pets feel secure and happy in your absence. My approach is tailored to each animal's unique needs, fostering a bond of trust and affection. I am going back to school to show my son it can still be done at my age. Your pets will fit into my schedule perrrfectly. I have a very loved 8 year old rescued cat that my son adores. Although I don't offer services at my home your pets will be loved and cared for like my own.
“We can’t speak highly enough about Linh as she was very caring, punctual and responsible with our dog. She’s extremely kind and pleasant to work with as well. We highly recommend her and look forward to her future walks!”

About: I have worked for the WAG! app for over a year now. I've always enjoyed caring for friends and neighbors pets when they were away from home. I've also always had at least 2 pets of my own. I'm currently taking the year off to go back to school. Since all of my courses are online, I am able to remain home each day to care for the animals in my care. I have a large yard that is partially fenced in with a very long run setup across the yard. I also live extremely close to walking trails and have private beach access.
“We were very happy to find Wendy to walk our dog when we traveled. She was reliable and very communicative. I would highly recommend her and we will definitely use her again.”

“Thanks so much Nikkita for taking Winnie out while I was gone! Nikkita came to meet Winnie the night before which was awesome to put my mind at ease as a new dog owner! She has great communication and was so sweet with Winnie 💕”

“Responded to a last-minute request and provided prompt response to questions. She was also willing to meet my pup before walking. Showed up on time and was very sweet and patient with my little princess Vizsla!”

“Tricia is awesome! So friendly and easy to communicate with, and a real pro! She bonded instantly with Mojo, and even showed up a little early for their walk, which worked out perfectly! Can’t wait to work with her again!”

About: I love all furry friends - I have a lovely cat, and I enjoy taking care of my friends’ puppies short or long terms. Taking them to long walks is my favorite part! I work on a flexible schedule, so I’m available on most weekday mornings or afternoons. I’d be ou-of-town on some weekends so pls let me know what’s your schedule like if pup needs walks on weekends! I have leashes (non-retractable) for small and medium dogs. I’m confident keeping pups of these sizes safe from traffic / other animals all the time. It’ll definitely be a plus if your pup know some commands!

About: I believe what sets me apart is my attention to detail and genuine love for animals! I have been around all types of animals my entire life, including my own dog, Parker. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I make it a priority to provide patient, personalized care while the owner is away. Whether it's keeping up with an energetic puppy, caring for a senior dog that needs a slower pace and extra attention, or simply making sure every walk is fun and engaging, I'm committed to treating every pet as if they were my own. I am currently in between positions as I finish my EMT license. This means outside of interviews, coffee chats, and studying for school, I have so much time to devote to walking and caring for dogs! I care for Pets as if they are my own. I want both the animal and the owner to feel relaxed and happy. I am respectful within the home and patiently create an inviting environment for dogs.

About: I have owned dog my whole life and trained dogs for about 5 years. I will always treat your pet as if they were my own. I get out of work between 10 am-12 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I am off Thursdays and Fridays. I am very flexible, reliable, and am willing to work with you to figure things out. I have an open door policy for all pets as long as they can get along with other animals. But I do have the space and room to keep your pet separated if needed.

About: I am a long-time pet parent with 2 cats and a dog. I am new to offering pet-care services, but have used Rover for care of my own pets and had some very good experiences. I hope to offer the same peace of mind to other families. I am currently seeking recreational employment (like pet sitting) but am otherwise unencumbered by work outside the home, so I have plenty of time to devote to care-giving work. Both my husband and I, along with our dog and 2 cats are at home all day most days. We take lots of walks and have a fenced-in yard for dogs to play and lounge in. Our cats are strictly indoor cats and spend their days moving from napping spot to napping spot and enjoy watching the birds at the feeder. The care I would offer your pet will depend on what they like. Walks, playtime, and cuddles are all on offer, as is, of course, any necessary feeding, watering, and cleanup.
“Brenda’s super friendly approach with our puppy in their very first meeting put us at ease about having her walk him. She was also shared her own experience with dog walkers, which we found to be of great value. Lastly, Brenda’s scheduling flexibility has proven to be a great asset in our arrangement. I would highly recommend her services to anyone who asks.”

About: I absolutely love all animals! While I often sit for dogs and cats I love our small critters as well! I have a bunny that is fully house trained and uses a litter box! I love training animals and seeing just how intelligent they truly are! I have a special place in my heart for senior animals as I used to be a nursing assistant for geriatrics. I recently lost my old man dog last month so I definitely have a special place for senior animals as well as experience in administering insulin after meals as my brother chocolate lab is diabetic. I look forward to working with all kinds of animals and families! I am currently a server and a high end restaurant and have flexible hours. I really love this about both of my jobs because it gives me the ability that do both of the things I love most! I have a dog park and my complex backs up to cochituate state park. I am also happy to come to my clients home if that is desired! In that case I would follow any and all instructions left by my clients and of course maintain the upmost respect for both them and their homes.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cochituate
Teddy is very professional and an excellent communicator. He also has a deep knowledge and understanding of dogs. Our dog took to Teddy right away and is so excited every time she sees him approaching! I have also been impressed with the way he makes sure she gets plenty of exercising and takes her to the park or in our yard to run around, in addition to walking. We are grateful for Teddy!

We had a wonderful experience leaving our nine year old dachshund Gus with Charlene for almost a week. She did a great job taking him on many walks throughout the day, as well as outings to his favorite hot spots like Home Goods. She gave us some great tips with how to handle some of his quirky habits (like dumping his food when eating and refusing to brush his teeth). Charlene was especially sensitive to creating a warm and comforting environment for our dog, and shared many pictures and videos. We were able to enjoy our vacation without any worries at all, knowing that Gus was getting the best of care. She’s truly the best!

Linh is fantastic! She has a lot of experience with dogs so I felt very comfortable leaving our two pups in her hands. She followed my instructions, is a great communicator and responds very promptly. She was professional and considerate to ask if her fiance could join her on the walk which I very much appreciated. We have booked her again for house sitting this summer and know that our pups will be in great hands!

Kelsey is amazing! Our dog absolutely loved her and she provided the best care while we were away. She sent us so many pictures, told us how he did each time she walked him and was always going above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable. We will absolutely be using Kelsey again!

Mary was a great communicator, on time, asked thoughtful questions about how to best care for our dog, including where to keep a towel to dry our dog off after being in the rain. Our dog always seemed perfectly happy and exhausted after a good walk with Mary. We are grateful!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
