About: Hi, I’m Lindsay! 🐾 I have dedicated my career to the well-being of animals, blending over a decade of professional dog walking and hands-on pet care with professional veterinary hospital experience. From leading structured off-leash playgroups and serving as a Daycare Shift Supervisor to working as a Client Liaison at MSPCA-Angell Animal Medical Center, I have cared for almost every breed, size, and temperament imaginable. Whether I am providing dedicated house sitting in your home or dropping in for daily walks and check-ins, my background means your fur family is getting far more than standard pet care: - Behavioral Expertise & Comfort: I am highly skilled at reading canine body language, maintaining calm dynamics, and using positive reinforcement to keep anxious or sensitive pets feeling safe and loved. - Medical Peace of Mind: With my veterinary hospital background, I am deeply experienced in administering medications, managing strict schedules, and recognizing subtle signs of health concerns. I am also certified in Dog CPR, First Aid, and Safety. - Seamless Routines & Cleanliness: I take a lot of pride in keeping a tidy, comfortable environment. Food and water bowls stay fresh, your home stays respected and neat, and if the classic New England weather gets messy, your pet gets a cozy towel-dry before settling in. Because my schedule is highly flexible, your pet's exact routine is my top priority. I am a cat owner myself and love caring for both dogs and cats of all comfort levels. I’m always happy to provide detailed credentials and professional references to give you total peace of mind. I’d love to connect via a phone call or a meet-and-greet to see how I can best love and support your pets in the comfort of their own home! Pet care is my daily routine, which means my schedule revolves entirely around the needs of my furry clients and their pet parents! Whether it’s mid-day neighborhood walks, wooded hikes, structured playtime, or accommodating last-minute schedule changes, my current lifestyle allows me to be incredibly dependable, available, and fully present for your pet every single day. A typical day with me is the perfect mix of structure, safety, and pure fun, completely tailored to your pet’s unique groove! Whether your pup needs high-energy hikes and legendary games of fetch to burn off steam, or more leisurely neighborhood strolls and engaging brain games tailored for smaller paws, I customize the day to them. I take a lot of pride in keeping a clean, tidy environment. Food and water bowls are always fresh, play spaces stay neat, and if that classic New England weather gets messy, your pet gets a cozy towel-dry or a refreshing bath before settling in to relax.

“Devon has been walking Millie for several weeks and she is always happy to see her! We love Devon’s Rover Card notes about their time together - nice, personal touch.”

About: Along with growing up with two dogs and helping to raise a puppy as a teenager, family friends and neighbors have relied on me to take care of their dogs and cats since I was ten. I've worked with all types of dogs, from Shih Tzus to Pit Bull mixes. I'm the one in my family who takes the dogs out on long hikes (or for short walks around the block once they get older), brushes their teeth and fur, gives them baths, and trims their nails. I'm a regular volunteer at cat shelters in cat care, and as a student on the pre-veterinary track, I have shadowed and volunteered at vet clinics to better understand the care that goes into your pets' health. Besides dogs and cats, I also have experience with a myriad of animals, such as hamsters, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, mice, fish, hermit crabs, geckos, snakes, tortoises, and turtles. I have experience in preparing special diets for pets and other animals with specific health needs, and in senior dog care. Over the summer, I work at my internships in animal care for much of the work day, but that leaves afternoons, evenings, and early mornings for me to check in on your pets and give any care they need (breakfast/dinner, walks, baths, etc.). Over the school year, I will have more hours available to fit in more time with your pets (i.e. walking and bathing/grooming, more playtime, etc.). As a lover of all creatures, I take the safety of both pets and wildlife seriously. As such, I will always supervise pets that are outside in yards and keep them on leashes outside fenced-off areas so they are not a danger to others or themselves. If transporting pets in my car, I will keep them safe and secure in a carrier/crate. As a college student who has shared living spaces with new people before, I understand the importance of respecting others' belongings and boundaries. During drop-in visits, I will be sure to respect your home and any rules you may have for your comfort (i.e. no shoes in the house, specific dishes/silverware for pets only, general cleanliness, etc.).
“Emily is wonderful. She is prompt, very friendly, and confident with dogs. My dog didn’t want to leave because he knew I was home and she gently nudged him along. They ended up having a great and much needed walk.”

About: Growing up with dogs in the family made me learn how to care for them naturally and see animals as friends. I will be more than happy to know your buddy, make sure they have everything they need, and have amazing moments together. I’m working part time and mostly available up to two hours during the morning and evenings after 5pm. Weekends are flexible with all day availability and flexibility. I always double check any house doors, to make sure it’s safe. Keep them near me in any outdoor environment is a rule, never unleashed or left alone outside. I’ll love to know more about your dogs habits and personality to adjust to their needs, restrictions and expectations.
“Su was absolutely wonderful with Giro. Giro, that is usually poo shy with new people very quickly felt very comfortable 😃 which is a wonderful sign. Thank you Su! We would definitely love to have you walk Giro again”

About: I love all furry friends - I have a lovely cat, and I enjoy taking care of my friends’ puppies short or long terms. Taking them to long walks is my favorite part! I work on a flexible schedule, so I’m available on most weekday mornings or afternoons. I’d be ou-of-town on some weekends so pls let me know what’s your schedule like if pup needs walks on weekends! I have leashes (non-retractable) for small and medium dogs. I’m confident keeping pups of these sizes safe from traffic / other animals all the time. It’ll definitely be a plus if your pup know some commands!

About: I’ve had the joy of caring for a wide variety of animals—from turtles and birds to fish and beyond! Whether it’s feeding, cleaning, or just spending quality time with them, I genuinely love every moment. It’s not just a responsibility for me—it’s pure enjoyment and something I’m truly passionate about. I’m taking online college courses, which means I currently have lots of free time and no major obligations. That gives me the perfect opportunity to focus on providing your pets with all the attention and care they need. Whether it’s going for walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’m here and happy to help! When caring for pets—whether in my home or a client’s—I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I make sure the environment is clean, pet-proofed, and calm. I follow any instructions carefully, whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, or specific behavior needs. I also take time to build trust with each pet so they feel secure and cared for, not just watched. My goal is to make the experience stress-free for both pets and their owners, with plenty of love and attention every step of the way!
“Leanne is the best you could ever ask for, she’s prompt, kind, and talks you through every step. I can’t recommend her enough! She’ll send lots of pics and shoes so much love to the pups!”

“Mara is simply fantastic! I have a 6yr old very timid Jack Russell terrier and Mara was so incredibly patient with her. Never forced her to open up and took it at Zoeys pace ultimately making her feel more comfortable. I get the sweetest pictures and she had listened to all the instructions I’ve left for her. 10/10 would highly recommend her for your dog walking or sitting needs !”

About: I’m not just a dog lover—I’m a proud dog mom of 9 years! I know how much your pup means to you because I feel the same way about mine. I bring the same care, attention, and love to every walk and drop-in as I do with my own dog, Dobby. I currently have a hybrid work schedule and work from home Mondays and Fridays. So Mondays and Fridays are pretty open. Tuesdays and Thursdays I would be available after 6pm so please feel free to message me if interested. Weekends I am available! When I drop in to care for your pet, I treat your home and your furry friend with the same respect and love I give my own. I always follow your care instructions closely—whether that’s feeding, potty breaks, playtime, or medication. I keep things calm and comforting for your pup, so they feel safe and happy.
“Kate has been walking our Vizsla and he’s so happy!! She’s always on time, takes him for a fantastic walk and gives him the love he deserves so much! She’s very competent, professional and George immediately connected with her.”

“Janet was great with my big dog. She took us on last minute, stopped by to meet him in advance, was very communicative and punctual, and we came home to a happy dog! Highly recommend!”

About: Dog-walker, lover, care-taker here! I’ve always loved dogs from a young age and have been exposed to all breeds from the start! I have a rescue lab mix of my own, since 9 weeks old and also live with 2 pitties. I’m here to help with routine dog walks as well as check-ins, feeding, baths.. you name it. I work part time with a scattered shift schedule so my days are always different. What makes me unique with this type of schedule is that I can accommodate your schedule with the openness of mine. I am available most days of the week during the work day and most nights. Not only am I timely and punctual, but I am also full of energy and another human for your dog to interact with during a long work day. I make sure your dog is well cared for in the time that I have for them and take environmental factors into account (weather,etc.). O give extra attention to dogs every time I see them and take my time on walks if I feel they need more time.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
