About: I grew up surrounded by animals, including dogs and cats, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. Over the past year, I have also walked dogs in my neighborhood and truly love it. I have experience with daily pet care such as walking, feeding, playtime, and providing companionship. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual personality, routine, and needs, and I always prioritize their comfort, safety, and well-being. I treat every pet with patience and care, as if they were my own. I’m currently a student on vacation, so my hours are very flexible throughout the week and weekends, so I can accommodate depending all your pets needs. I provide a safe, clean, and pet-friendly environment where your pet can feel comfortable and secure. I follow all care instructions carefully and supervise pets at all times, making sure their needs are met. I also send regular updates and photos so you can stay connected while away. About: I’ve been around dogs for over a decade—starting with my family dog and now as the owner of a rescue dog of my own. Most of my experience has been with smaller dogs (25 lbs or less), but I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I regularly walk my dog around Newton and Cold Spring Park, and I’m familiar with local dog parks (both fenced and off-leash). I prioritize safe, attentive walks and make sure each dog gets plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection—whether that’s playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and administering oral medication, and I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and gentle care. As a Rover user myself, I know how important trust and communication are. I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident and connected while your pet is in my care. I’m a great fit for busy working professionals and families who need reliable, thoughtful support, as well as for senior dogs or lower-energy pets who benefit from a calm, consistent environment. To ensure the highest level of attention and comfort, I care for one dog or cat at a time. I work from home most days, so pet care fits naturally into my routine. I’m available for drop-in visits or walks around lunchtime, and again in the late afternoon and evening after the kids are done with school or camp. I enjoy building time into my day to give pets the attention, consistency, and care they need—and making sure they feel comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I approach pet care with a strong focus on safety, consistency, and trust. I always take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any specific needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and comfortable for them. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and follow all instructions closely—whether that’s feeding schedules, walking routines, medications, or favorite activities. I’m attentive on walks (leash safety, awareness of surroundings) and make sure pets are secure at all times. In my home, pets are cared for in a calm, clean, and supervised environment. I’m mindful of creating a safe space and ensuring pets feel at ease. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs since I was 5 years old. When I was 12, my grandparents could no longer take care of their 3 crazy Weimaraners so we welcomed them into our family of pets for a grand total of 4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs and 2 hermit crabs. I’ve loved animals since as long as I can remember and have taken care of dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages and attitudes over the years. I hope I can add some joy to your pup’s day, the way they add joy to mine! I’m currently pursing a masters degree in data science, but I have the summer off, so I have a lot of flexibility throughout the week to take care of your pets! I am responsible, clean, and maybe overly attentive. I will do my absolute best to take care of your pet and your home. If your pet comes to my home, I will make sure they are in a safe, loving environment.

Zander has walked our dog 8 times in the past 4 months, and has always done a good job. The very first time, I accidentally double-booked him with another walker, and they both graciously rearranged their schedules to fix the problem. Zander is a solid, no-fanfare guy who knows what’s important and doesn’t get distracted. For example, Zander alerted us to a problem with our dog’s poops, which turned out to be due to an intestinal parasite she picked up from the local wild rabbits living near our house. He’s always prepared, and keeps things on an even keel. I think he’s accepted every one of our booking requests, and we appreciate him in all respects.

About: I have had dogs for over 20 years, and have also sat for other dogs in my neighborhood. Lots of dog toys, dog beds for them to play with and sleep in. Lots of sofas and chairs. Plenty of house space to run around. I get up and take care of my 3 cats and my dog and parents dogs everyday early. I have 3 days off from main job. Each day, including my work days, I still have plenty of time to spend with the animals. Afternoon walks, and 2 evening walks. Pets are always on my daily routine, with plenty of time to spend playing with them as well. I have a fenced in yard, I have 3 dogs that get a long with others upon meeting. I have a big house, lots of gates if for whatever reasons they may need to be gated off. Plenty of dog beds for them to sleep on . :) We have gates on our deck, so there is no chance of a dog running off.

About: Hello! I am a recent Wellesley College graduate but I come from a big family in Austin, Texas. I've looked after dogs, cats, plants, and plenty of farm animals. I adore animals and have two dogs of my own back home. I have great communication and I am willing to send regular updates and photos to give owners peace of mind. I read and respond to signals that animals give attentively so your pets will be in great hands! I am looking forward to caring for your homes and pets. I am currently looking for jobs before starting grad school in the fall. I babysit occasionally, but I am often not away for more than 3-5 hours. My home is currently being renovated so I will not be hosting any pets there at the moment. I am happy to consider in home pet care after renovations are finished.

About: Growing up with dogs in the family made me learn how to care for them naturally and see animals as friends. I will be more than happy to know your buddy, make sure they have everything they need, and have amazing moments together. I’m working part time and mostly available up to two hours during the morning and evenings after 5pm. Weekends are flexible with all day availability and flexibility. I always double check any house doors, to make sure it’s safe. Keep them near me in any outdoor environment is a rule, never unleashed or left alone outside. I’ll love to know more about your dogs habits and personality to adjust to their needs, restrictions and expectations.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
