About: I’ve been around dogs for over a decade—starting with my family dog and now as the owner of a rescue dog of my own. Most of my experience has been with smaller dogs (25 lbs or less), but I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I regularly walk my dog around Newton and Cold Spring Park, and I’m familiar with local dog parks (both fenced and off-leash). I prioritize safe, attentive walks and make sure each dog gets plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection—whether that’s playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and administering oral medication, and I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and gentle care. As a Rover user myself, I know how important trust and communication are. I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident and connected while your pet is in my care. I’m available for drop-in visits or walks around lunchtime, and again in the late afternoon and evening after the kids are done with school or camp. I enjoy building time into my day to give pets the attention, consistency, and care they need—and making sure they feel comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I approach pet care with a strong focus on safety, consistency, and trust. I always take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any specific needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and comfortable for them. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and follow all instructions closely—whether that’s feeding schedules, walking routines, medications, or favorite activities. I’m attentive on walks (leash safety, awareness of surroundings) and make sure pets are secure at all times. In my home, pets are cared for in a calm, clean, and supervised environment. I’m mindful of creating a safe space and ensuring pets feel at ease. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for.

About: Hi! I’m Allison, and I’m a rising junior at Cornell University studying Animal Science on the Pre-Veterinary track. My experience includes volunteering at a therapeutic riding center, working with farm animals, and spending time at a Fear Free certified veterinary practice. I’m available most days and can work around your pet’s routine, whether that means walks or drop in visits. “Zander has walked our dog 8 times in the past 4 months, and has always done a good job. The very first time, I accidentally double-booked him with another walker, and they both graciously rearranged their schedules to fix the problem. Zander is a solid, no-fanfare guy who knows what’s important and doesn’t get distracted. For example, Zander alerted us to a problem with our dog’s poops, which turned out to be due to an intestinal parasite she picked up from the local wild rabbits living near our house. He’s always prepared, and keeps things on an even keel. I think he’s accepted every one of our booking requests, and we appreciate him in all respects.”

About: I have never owned a dog myself, but I have always taken care of my friend’s dogs when they go out somewhere and I really enjoy hyper dogs to play around with them. We can run and play when I’m taking care of them. I also like to know what your dogs like before I take them anywhere, so I can plan ahead on what to do! If you would like to know more about me, let me know! I currently work at an office job, so I am mostly available on the weekends. There are some days in which I can be flexible when house sitting, but it depends on my schedule! I make sure that I double check everything around me for safety for the dog and myself. I try to have a schedule with the dogs and make sure that they have everything that they need.

About: I’ve been watching neighbors and friends pets for as long as I can remember! Anytime a furry friend needed a companion I was the one to call. I work full time but am only in office Tuesday and Wednesday. I will gladly stop in anytime after 6 pm on those days otherwise I WFH Monday Thursday and Friday and can stop in three times a day then! I will be glad to walk your dog or just come check on them in your home! I can crate them or do whatever you would feel best about!

About: I’ve been caring for pets and animals since as far back as I can remember! Once I got my very own pets (a dog and two cats) outside of my family home, it became a whole new world of understanding what it takes to train and care for fur babies. My sweet Aussie, Poppy, like most, is high-energy and anxious, but getting her at just 8 weeks old gave me the opportunity to dive into the world of dog behaviorism and training. She has come leaps and bounds from the over-excited, reactive pup she was, and the work that goes into helping a dog feel more calm and confident in the world means a lot to me. I've worked with dog trainers and have researched for countless hours to understand how and why dogs and cats behave the way they do to give my own the best lives possible, and I would love to take the same care with your own fur baby! I have a flexible WFH schedule on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as weekend availability, that gives me the opportunity to fit in extra walks / visits with new fur babies! I'm comfortable administering medication, crating dogs, cleaning litter boxes, etc. as needed! If it has to do with the day-to-day for cats or dogs, it's all good with me! I do appreciate detailed instructions to make sure that I take the best possible care to follow the routines you already have in place with your pets :)
