About: I’ve been around dogs for over a decade—starting with my family dog and now as the owner of a rescue dog of my own. Most of my experience has been with smaller dogs (25 lbs or less), but I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. About: I’ve had dogs since I was 13. I love taking care of all types of dogs! I’m very active, and love playing and going on runs with my dogs. About: As much as I love playing with puppies I have a fondness for senior dogs. I have spent more time caring for senior dogs and enjoy being around them. I worked nights and was always available for vet appointments. My dog Nicholas went to aquatherapy often and my Pug did acupuncture. I have cared for dogs needing meds, diaper changes, extra lifts, & short walks that required a long time. I often had dogs that needed fresh or homemade food and lots of treats & love. Being retired I am often home working on projects. I also am fortunate to have friends all over the country. I go to their homes and care for their pets while they vacation. I currently have no pets. I live 50ft to the paths along the Charles River. It is a great place to walk dogs. We come upon small wildlife, other dogs and lots of joggers. Julia is amazing! I was in a bind on Saturday because I had work and my mom was out all day, so I turned to Rover, not sure if anyone would be available so last minute AND on a weekend. Not only was Julia available; but she also responded almost immediately to me on the app and was more than happy to walk my dog, Bear. Bear is a very sweet and loves people, but is a rambunctious dog, who is slightly leash-aggressive. Julia showed up on time, kept me updated and sent me pictures of their time together. She even taught Bear a few tricks to being less aggressive on leash! She is very professional and warm and I can tell she loves my dog.
