About: I love all furry friends - I have a lovely cat, and I enjoy taking care of my friends’ puppies short or long terms. Taking them to long walks is my favorite part! I work on a flexible schedule, so I’m available on most weekday mornings or afternoons. I’d be ou-of-town on some weekends so pls let me know what’s your schedule like if pup needs walks on weekends! I have leashes (non-retractable) for small and medium dogs. I’m confident keeping pups of these sizes safe from traffic / other animals all the time. It’ll definitely be a plus if your pup know some commands!

“Ari is fantastic and took such good care of our kitties while we were away! Especially our senior kitty that needed a lot of daily pills. I really appreciated Ari’s thorough communication and picture updates. It was a great relief knowing our babies were well cared for!”

About: I absolutely adore pets. I have owned a cat and a dog, and have pet-sat for numerous animals. I can't think of a better job than getting paid to do something I would do for free. My promise to you is that I will treat your pet with the utmost care, as if it were my own. I am a recent college graduate with some time before I start my full-time job. I am flexible with scheduling, and I'm happy to work with you to best support you and your pet's needs. I heavily prioritize the safety and well-being of the pets I watch. I am vigilant to ensure that pets receive all the exercise, medication, and other care they require while also giving them the attention and love they deserve. I truly enjoy and am passionate about providing the best experiences for the pets I watch!
“Kyra did a great job caring for my two cats, sometimes coming twice a day to feed, water and litter. Kyra also gave ear drops to Nike who had an infection. She sent pictures and was in contact, and I think the cats really liked her. I trust her and would certainly book Kyra again.”

“James was an excellent caregiver for my cat. He came over early to see the house and meet Finbar, sent nice updates and pictures. I would be happy to use his services again.”

“Jana was a perfect dog sitter! She accepted the job on very short notice and arrived early. She really saved the day! She was very gentle and loving with my tiny chihuahua puppy. I loved getting the picture updates. Thank you, Jana!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs since I was 5 years old. When I was 12, my grandparents could no longer take care of their 3 crazy Weimaraners so we welcomed them into our family of pets for a grand total of 4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs and 2 hermit crabs. I’ve loved animals since as long as I can remember and have taken care of dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages and attitudes over the years. I hope I can add some joy to your pup’s day, the way they add joy to mine! I’m currently pursing a masters degree in data science, but I have the summer off, so I have a lot of flexibility throughout the week to take care of your pets! I am responsible, clean, and maybe overly attentive. I will do my absolute best to take care of your pet and your home. If your pet comes to my home, I will make sure they are in a safe, loving environment.
“Angelica is a wonderful pet sitter, she is very friendly and responsive. She took good care of my cat and did everything that I requested and more. My cat loved her, and I had a worry-free trip knowing that my cat is in good hands. I will definitely book her again in the future and recommend her to my friends and family! Thank you Angelica!”

“Thank you for taking such good care of baby Leo. I missed him so much while I was away but knew he was in good hands. Leo hopes you’ll take care of him again next time I’m away. ❤️?⬛?”

“Great cat sitter. Nadine was highly reliable and was able to care for our elderly cat. She made it a breeze to train her on the cat's med schedule and quirky nature. Highly recommend.”

About: My mom is a dog trainer, so I grew up around dogs (and cats and other beings) and learned from her training. Not just how to work with them, but how to build their trust. Just like with humans, care is built on relationship. I'll always take the time to get to know your pet and am a gentle, steady presence. For the past four years, I was so lucky to have an incredible service dog by my side. Sully, a Labrador retriever, was with me 24/7 and we both learned a lot about how to communicate with one another. Sully passed away from kidney disease and cancer this past December, and I miss him tremendously. I'd like to honor his memory by being there for other animal families when they need it. Throughout his illness, I became proficient at giving pills, doing subcutaneous fluids, and adapting our playing to what Sully was up for. Families can count on me to take good care of animals who need extra help. I'm in graduate school Monday-Thursdays, but can offer care first thing in the morning and after 5 pm on weekdays. Most weeks, I can be available throughout Friday-Sunday When caring for pets in their homes, I start by asking their humans to describe their daily routines, what causes the animal stress or delight, and how they'd like their homes to be used. I'll leave things just as I found them. My apartment is small, but we have a big fenced yard. I've got plenty of toys, comfy beds for dogs and cats, water bowls, and treats at home, but I encourage folks to bring over anything that will help their pet feel at home in my place. For walks of more than 15 minutes, I’d likely use my electric wheelchair so that chronic pain doesn’t limit how much of a walk your pup would have.
“Niusha looked after our cat while we were away for the holiday and we were very happy to see the many photos and videos that she shared of our kitty - he was clearly very well loved and taken care of!”

“Asmahan has been great! She was very understanding that our anxious dog takes a few visits to warm up to new people. She was patient and had great instincts with our pup. We are looking forward to continuing to hire her in the future!”

My kitties LOVE J and I thoroughly trust her with them. I needed last minute care and medication administration and she took excellent care of both my adult cat and kitten. She stays in touch, sends great updates and I hope to have her hang with my cats again!

Lucy was very receptive to what my cat needed. She came for 1 visit while I was out of state. She provided a meal, checked water, checked my cats litter, and sent a few photos. I also got a few screen shots from my apartments camera and saw that Lucy even brushed Zelish and played with her which was really nice. I felt happy knowing my cat was well taken care of.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Newton Upper Falls. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
